SUICIDE IS PREVENTED
While in a fit of despondency, George Handy, a laboring man, attempted to commit suicide this morning in the Weller house, and was only prevented from taking his life by the prompt arrival of Patrolman Donlan.
Last night Handy told another lodger that he was going to kill himself, and this morning he was seen going to the room with a revolver. Patrolman Donlan was notified and arrived in time to wrest the weapon from the man's hand, and he will be watched until the despondent mood wears off.
