Peter Hesser Sues His Wife for a Divorce

Peter Hesser, an old resident of King County who now lives in Ballard, has brought suit against his wife, Sarah Hesser, in the Superior Court for divorce. Dora Twigg, a daughter, is also named a defendant in the suit. The plaintiff alleges that with a power of attorney given for an entirely different purpose his wife has transferred all his real estate holdings, which are said to be valued at nearly $30,000, to the daughter for the purpose of defrauding him of his property.

Mrs. Hesser's attorney says that the allegations are untrue and that the property was deeded to the daughter as trustee, to be held in trust for her step-father, who is alleged to be incapable of caring for his property on account of his love for the flowing bowl. Mrs. Hesser will file a cross complaint in the suit demanding a divorce on the grounds of drunkeness.
