FIREMAN DISCHARGED

The first to fall under the ban for breaking the new rule of the fire department prohibiting the smoking of cigarettes on duty, was fireman R. C. Johnson, who was given his envelope Monday by Chief Cook. Irregularity in reporting for duty is also said to have had something to do with Johnson's dismissal.
