BLAMED FOR ACCIDENT
John Hurley asserts that the dissolate habits of his wife are directly responsible for the drawning in Lake Union some months ago of their 3-year-old boy.
Hurley was granted a divorce today in the superior court. He told the court that his wife is a slave to liquor and that she neglects her home for it.
On one occasion, he said his wife became intoxicated and went away from home, leaving the little boy, three years of age, alone in the house.
While she was away the little fellow wandered out and fell into the lake and was drowned.
The couple were married in 1896.
