  This database includes 9,170 veterans who lived at the Washington Soldiers Home & Colony between 1890 and 1970.

  Names and info are from the Application for Admission forms. The forms include the date of birth, occupation, marital status, number of children, nearest relative, current residence, length of residence in Washington, and military record.

  Filed with the county auditors are military discharge papers ("DD 214's") from WW II forward. Contact the regional branch representing the appropriate county.
