Oliver B. Millett

Masonic funeral services for Oliver B. Millett, 87, former Alaska miner, will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow in the Lempley Mortuary, with burial in the family plot, both in Sedro-Woolley.

Mr. Millett, 511 West Mercer Place, died Tuesday in a hospital after a long illness. He was born in Nova Scotia and came to this country in 1887. He settled in Seattle in 1944.

Mr. Millett, owner of much Alaska property, mined copper in Iliamna, and other minerals in Dawson and Nome. He was a founder and honorary member of the Masonic Lodge, in Valdez, Alaska. He was a past Master of the Sedro Woolley Masonic Lodge and a member of the Alaska Pioneers of Seattle.

Surviving are his wife, Thresa; a daughter, Mrs. L. Hicks Taylor, Seattle; a son, Hugh H. Millett, Dillingham, Alaska; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
