White River Pioneer Dies

Richard Jeffs, a pioneer of the White River valley country, died last night at this home near Thomas, aged 83 years. He has lived in this country 40 years.

Mr. Jeffs was born in Scotland, and came to this country 50 years ago. He took up a homestead and left an estate valued at $300,000. He outlived both his children.

He was a member of the convention that in 1889 framed the constitution of Washington.
