YORKE BARRINGTON EXPIRES SUDDENLY

Succumbs to Brain Fever After a Week's Illness.

Yorke A. Barrington, the well known druggist, died this morning at the Seattle General hospital from brain fever. He had been sick only a week and was removed from his residence, 2311 Seventeenth avenue, to the hospital yesterday.

Probably no man in Seattle had a wider acquaintance than the deceased. Although a young man, he had a thriving business, and at the present time the stock of goods is being moved to new quarters on Second avenue and Pike street.

He leaves a widow, the daughter of H. F. Phillips, an old pioneer of this city; a mother and three brothers. Mr. Barrington was married about four years ago. The news of his sudden death spread rapidly about the city today. The arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed. Mr. Barrington was 26 years of age, and his death is deeply mourned by his relatives and many friends in this city.

Mr. Barrington was reared on Whitby Island. In the spring of 1889 he came to this city and entered into the employ of the Steward & Homes Drug Co. In 1892 he started in business for himself. His parents are pioneers of this state.
