McKenzie Is Named Aide in V.A. Office

Kenneth McKenzie, native of Seattle and veteran of 43 months’ overseas service in the Army, has been appointed Administrative Assistant to the Manger of the Washington Regional Office of the Veterans Administration, it was announced today.

McKenzie was General Passenger Agent for the Alaska Steamship Company before entering the service in 1941. While overseas, he served as a Port Commander in Glasgow, Scotland and Belfast, Ireland and was at one time Chief of Transportation for the Army in the Mediterranean. He also served on the planning staff of Operation Torch, the invasion of Africa. He is a graduate of Queen Anne High School and the University of Washington.

McKenzie and his wife, the former Lucia Fryer, live at 1223 Eighth Avenue West.
