in Sunnyside, WA. The Sanders had one son: Richard. Oren enlisted in the US Army on October 22, 1942. He died on June 14, 1943 in New York City while serving in the US Army as a TEC5.
His death was not in battle, but while he was on tour of NY City with members of his regiment. Legion. Confederate Armies during the Civil War. Richard settled in Klickitat County in 1877. His first marriage was to Miss Mary Garner on December 19, 1861. They had ten children together.

Yellowstone, Montana. Her second husband was Earl C. Scherer, who died in 1950. Hattie's third husband was Harry Edward Stewart, who died in 1964.
Hattie passed away on February 27, 2003 at the age of 100 at home in Goldendale. Alfred James Symes was born in England in 1870 to Prudence [Burddige] and James Symes. Mary Emma Symes on May 23, 1932 in Yakima County. Mary died in 1944.
James passed away on March 28, 1939 at the age of 68 in Goldendale. Alfred Symes was convicted of 2nd Degree Murder in Adams County for the 1893 killing of Constable Louis Conlee, while he was
being arrested for hog stealing, and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. He claimed that it was in self defense. Alfred was granted a retrial and was found guilty of manslaughter, and was again sentenced
to 18 years. He was considered to be a model prisoner. He was pardoned in 1901 by the Governor.
