TAGUE, Edward (Eddie) J., 72, passed away on December 20, 2004 in Reno, NV. Eddie was born and raised in Troy, NY, the third child of Margaret (Moore) and Edward T. Tague. His dad had nicknames for all his children and Eddie was known as "Toby." He wasn't fond of the name, but we would call him that whenever we wanted to get a rise out of him. The family grew to be four children, and Eddie was known to be the quiet one. Hindsight tells us he was the "free spirited" and adventurous one. Returning to Troy after the Korean conflict, Eddie was successfully employed but something was missing in his life. He made a tough decision to leave the east coast and make a life for himself in California. You could almost say "he lived happily ever after." This quiet young man was blessed with numerous friends and he became the California man. We all missed Eddie, but we were all happy that he had found where he belonged, particularly when, after some 25 years, he finally was able to share that life with Mary, his wife. Now that his life here, comes to a close, we look back and see "Toby," not as that quiet young Tague boy, but as an adventurous, free spirited individual who knew what he wanted and had the courage to pursue it. We were all blessed to know and love him. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 3, 2005 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Greenacres|Moles Funeral Home Chapel, with a Graveside Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Greenacres|Moles Cemetery.

Living in a German-speaking community, she learned to read and write both German and English. The luxury of a formal education ended at ninth grade due to demands of farming. Ida met and married her second husband Charles (Fred) Turner in 1953. She and Fred started RVing in a 13-foot trailer and most weekends would find them at camp-grounds where fishing was good. Upon retirement and for 22 years, they would winter in Desert Hot Springs (now in a 35-foot motorhome). Many friends were made at the RV parks and each year was like homecoming. Since Fred & #39's death a few years ago, Ida has continued to live alone. Being an independent person, she never wanted to become a burden to anyone. Her last two weeks required her to be hospitalized due to a failing heart. You gave so much to others, now rest in peace.

TWEED, Betty Louise passed away on August 17, 2007, at age 79. She survived the depression as a child, moving throughout the Midwest with her baker father, Chauncey Parker, mother Sina, sisters Patt and Dikko, and brother Jerry. In 1942 they moved to Edmonds, WA, where she lived until 1971. Her grandsons have fond childhood memories of visiting her in Seattle and going on all kinds of adventures, mostly at the Seattle Center. She spoiled them completely when they were little, including buying them ice cream sodas from Woolworth's for breakfast. Besides her family, Betty Lu loved ladybugs, animals (especially cats), children, clocks, decorating, beautiful scenery, music, fish and chips, and chocolate. Personal style was her passion. She matched shoes, purse, and jewelry to each and every outfit she owned. She was a beautiful woman and to the last had gorgeous, smooth skin. Betty shone with grave and compassion. If someone admired a ring on her finger or the coat on her back, she was as likely to slip it off and give it to them as not. She liked to "adopt" grandchildren. If a young man reminded her one of her grandsons, she would ask him if he needed a grandma, and then slip him some money. She also loved and "adopted" two girls from Church – Sarah and Kayla. Betty encircled her daughter's stepchildren in her love as well. Betty moved to Bellingham in 1998. She volunteered for a year as a teacher's aide for the Head Start Program, positively affecting many families and children. Betty Lu was a member of the LDS Church and loved to cook for the missionaries. If too ill to cook, she provided the ingredients so her daughter could. Betty was preceded in death by her baby brother Benny, her parents, and Ed – her beau of 30 years. She leaves her only child, Deborah Royal, and beloved son-in-law, Bill Royal, both of Bellingham; the grandsons she adored – Kelly Ockinga, of Portland, OR and Justin Ockinga (Lisa) soon to be of Munich.
