FRABLE, Clair C., age 37, who resided at Mountlake Terrace, Seattle, Wash., passed away in that city on Saturday, December 3, (1960) following a lingering illness. Mr. Frable was a former resident of Bellingham and was employed for the past 6 years by Boeing of Seattle. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the B.P.O.E. of Lehighton, Penn. He leaves to survive his wife, Mrs. Inez Frable; 3 sons, Ronald, Donald and Kerry, also 1 daughter, Virginia, all residing at home, his father, Mr. Elwood Frable; 1 sister, Mrs. Warren Koenig, both of Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 7, at 1 o'clock in the Chapel of Bingham & Jerns Funeral Home. FRACK, P. J. (Pen), age 85 years, of Route 1, Everson, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, December 13th, (1951), following a lingering illness. A resident of the county for the past 52 years, he is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Melvin Frack, of Seattle; one brother, Charlie Frack, of McMinville, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Lilly Tobias, of Kansas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. FRALICK, Richard A. of Bellingham died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997. He was 84. No service will be held. Mr. Fralick lived in Bellingham most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member and past commander of Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include nephew Tim Birt of Maple Valley.

FRALICK, Anna B. of 2015 24th St. died at home Saturday, Dec. 10, 1994. She was 79. A private family service was held Monday. Born March 25, 1915, in Gorie, Texas, she married Richard Fralick in 1941 in Sherman, Texas. She lived in Bellingham for 30 years. Mrs. Fralick enjoyed deer and elk hunting, salmon fishing and vegetable gardening. Survivors include her husband of the family home, brother John Moriss of Texas and nephew Timothy Birt of Seattle.
FRALICK, Charlie M., age 56, of Epping, New Hampshire. He passed away Tues., Dec. 6, (1977). He was born and raised in Bellingham and was retired from the U. S. Navy. FRALICK, Whitney, age 60, of 5127 LaBounty Road, Bellingham passed away at St. Joseph Hospital South Campus Sunday Dec. 8, 1991. He was born in Bellingham Jan. 31, 1931 to John and Lena Fralick and was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #194 of Bellingham, Albert J. Hamilton Post #7 American Legion of Bellingham. He drove school bus for Ferndale School Dist. for 20 years and loved all his kids dearly, and was a commercial fisherman for 22 years. He married Jean Slater in 1952 in Ferndale. Survivors include wife Jean of the family home; sisters Lena Tooker, Grace Radder and Evelyn Lehn all of Bellingham; brother Earl Fralick of Yuma, AZ; sister-in-law Ruth Palmer of Ferndale; brother-in-law Don Slater of Naples, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 10 at Moles Funeral Home. Ritualistic services will be held at Moles Funeral Home Chapel on Wed. FRAMZEN, Jacob, age 71, of Glacier Star Route, Deming, passed away at a local hospital, Tuesday, September 20, (1949) following a lingering illness. Mr. Framzen had been a resident of the Kendall district for the past 40 years. Surviving relatives include his wife Johanna; three sons John, of Maple Falls; Matthew, of Roseburg, Ore., and Jacob, of Long Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Magdelene Stewart of Tacoma; Margaret Gooch, of Seattle, and Gertrude Heller, of Kendall; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Also numerous nieces and nephews in Germany. Rosary will be said within the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Columbia Valley, Friday, September 23, at 8 p.m. Services will be conducted within the church Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. with Father Andrew Donohue officiating, under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home in Sumas.
FRANCIS, Dan - A memorial service for Dan Francis of Bellingham will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Good News Fellowship Church with the Revs. Skip Suess and Erik Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Francis died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994, in Bellingham. He was 60. Born June 30, 1934, to Nick and Anna Francis in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he was a longtime member of the Iron Workers Union. Formerly of Hawaii, he loved to travel. Survivors include daughters Natalie Francis and Tanya Francis, both of Bellingham; brother Roy Francis of Abbotsford, B.C.; sisters Vera Jones of Edmonton and Neil Sumner of Vancouver, B.C.; and numerous other relatives.
FRANCIS, Ethel Jeanne passed away March 29, 2007, in Bellingham. She was 83. Born is 1924 to Wiebe and Trynje (Bergsma) Haringa in Everett, she graduated from Everett High School in 1941 and WWU in 1959. She married Jack Francis on June 22, 1960, in Carmel, CA. Ethel was a homemaker and teacher and a Bellingham resident since 1962. Her hobbies included traveling, skiing, sewing, reading and she took pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of AAUW, Salinas, CA. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Bill, Ed, and Jimmy Haringa and grandson Justin Baker. Survivors include her husband Jack, daughters Mary (Bailey) Baker of Salinas, CA; Jeanne (Bailey) O'Donnell of Portland, TX; and Joyce (Francis) Eschliman of Bellingham; sons Bill Bailey of Bellingham; Ross Bailey of Bow; and Daniel Bailey of Bellingham; sisters Henrietta Ward of Dallas, TX, and Gretchen Winegar of Seattle; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Carl O. Fischer officiating. Mr. Francis passed away Thursday November 10, 1983. He was the husband of Paulette and father of Gary Lee Francis and Nannette Francis both of San Jose, Calif. Son of Bertha Francis of Fremont, Calif. Brother of William Francis of Hawaii and John C. Francis of Fremont, Calif. Mr. Francis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, was born in Fort Meyer, Virginia on March 17, 1915, had served in the U. S. Army for 28 years coming up through the ranks to retire as a Captain. he had worked with Lockheed Corp. in Sunnyvale, Calif. for 20 years. He had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 5 years owning and operating Frank's Lock Shop.
FRANCIS, John, age 91, formerly of Bellingham, passed away in a Shelton Nursing Home, Monday, May 3, (1976). He was born in Wales and came to the U.S. in 1922. He had worked in the Coal Mines in Carbonado and Bellingham but more recently owned and trained horses at Longacres. He was a member of the Washington Horsebreeders Assn., Masonic Cascade Lodge No. 61 F&AM, South Prairie, Wa. and United Mine Workers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie in 1968 and daughter Joyce in 1949. He is survived by two sons, William of Olympia and Jack of city. Funeral services were held in Shelton with interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle.

Mrs. Francis had resided in this community for the past 30 years and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Townsend, and Miss Roberta Francis of Seattle; three grandchildren, Robert F. Bowler and Mrs. N.C. Kunzmann, both of Bellingham, and U. S. Hemphill of Glendale, Calif; also four great-grandchildren. FRANCISCO, Dexter F., age 69, of Rt. 1, Lynden, passed away at his home, Saturday, Dec. 29, (1963) following an extended illness. A resident of Whatcom County since 1918 he was a retired farmer and made his home near Lynden for the past 38 years. He had served as treasurer for the Lynden Methodist Church for 30 years and as superintendent of the Sheep and Swine Dept. at the Lynden Fair for 30 years. He was a member of the Lynden Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Lucy; three sons, Ralph, Rt. 1, Ferndale, Garth, Rt. 1, Lynden, and Kenneth of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Park of Nooksack; one brother, John, and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Buchanan and Mrs. May Daniels, all of Longview, Texas. Martin on August 7, 1936 in Bellingham and celebrated 50 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on December 5, 1987. FRANCISCO, Hilda M., age 81 of 4915 Samish Way, Bellingham, passed away April 23, 1993 at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1912 in Bellingham to George and Viola Dawson and had been a lifetime area resident. Mrs. Francisco was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Kingston, WA and the Bellingham Alliance Church; Elks Lodge #194 and Eagles Arie #31. She and her husband Jim owned and operated the Twentieth Century Bowl for 30 years and she enjoyed golfing and hiking around Lake Padden. She is survived by her husband Jim of the family home; brother, George B. Dawson, of Seattle; two sisters, Gladys Buroker of Athol, Idaho, and Violet Horch of Hansville, WA; twenty-six nieces and nephews; one great-nephew. FRANCISCO, John, 81, formerly of Whatcom County, died Thursday, April 9, 1992, in Group Health Hospital in Seattle. He was born Dec. 6, 1910, in Roslyn to George and Jenny Francisco. The family moved to Whatcom County in 1924. He graduated from Whatcom High School and was employed in Whatcom County coal mines. He married Katherine "Tiny" Kare on Sept. 6, 1938, in Bellingham. She survives him at the family home. Mr. Francisco moved to the Seattle area in the early 1940s. He was a retired tavern owner. Survivors include his daughters Sharon Todd of Renton and Suzanne Kramer of Seattle; and his sister Frances O'Connor of Ukiah, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butchers Workmen of North America, Local No. 247. He leaves to survive his wife, Mrs. Lucille Francisco, and one daughter, Susan, both at home; two brothers, Jim and Francis Francisco, both of this city; and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Kane, also of this city. Mrs. Francisco moved to Whatcom County in 1918 from Arkansas and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lynden, and had been president of the Women's Society for 13 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Park of Nooksack; 3 sons, Ralph of Blaine, Garth of Lynden and Kenneth of Dolton, Ill.; 2 sisters, Ms. L. Alice Faust of Arizona and Mrs. Ruth Mautz of Bellingham; one brother, Merritt Sweitzer of Blaine; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. FRANCISCO, Nickolas, age 69, resident of a local hotel, passed away in a Bellingham hospital, Wednesday, October 19, (1949). He had been a resident of this city for the past 40 years, and was a retired fisherman. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He leaves to survive, one niece, Mrs. J. J. Cane and three nephews, John, Leo and Frances Francisco, all of Bellingham. The body rests at Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home. The Rev. FRANCISCO, Steve, age 81, of 1712 E. Maplewood, Bellingham passed away Feb. 23, 1990. He was born Dec. 25, 1908 in Illinois and has been a lifetime resident of Bellingham. FRANDEEN, Ned Wellington, died Monday, Jan. 24, 1994, in Bellingham. He was 76. At his request, no services will be held. Born March 12, 1917, to Andrew and Emma Frandeen in Braham, Minn., he grew up and attended school there. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwestern University in Chicago, and served in the U. S. Army during World War II in North Africa and Italy as secretary to General Mark Clark. After the war, he earned a bachelor's degree in horticulture from Oregon State University and later taught horticulture there. He married Margaret Bernice Olsen Becker on April 3, 1966, in San Francisco. The same year, he went to work for the U.S. State Department as an agriculturist serving in Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. After retiring in 1975, he and his wife moved to Bellingham. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Frandeen, and his first wife, Jimmie Frazier Frandeen. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons James Wellington Frandeen of Soquel, Calif., Robert Frazier Frandeen of Watsonville, Calif., and William Griggs Becker of Seattle; daughters Kristine Ayers of Oakland, Calif., Capucine Cooper of Jerusalem and Barbara Becker Frandeen of Seattle; brothers Robert Frandeen of McAllen, Texas, and William Frandeen of Sun city, Ariz.; sister Louise "Lou" Spiller of Albuquerque, N. FRANK, James R., aged 73 years, of Birch Bay, Route 1, Blaine, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, September 13, (1958) following an automobile accident. FRANK, Lucille "Babe" of 3018 Coolidge Drive died Monday, May 5, 1997, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was 77. A private service will be held. Burail will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Born July 1, 1919, to Albert and Tillie Todd Warm in Oakland, Calif., she lived in Whatcom County for 74 years. She married Robert Frank on Aug. 14, 1937, in Bellingham. A clerk at Aubert Drug Co., she enjoyed golf and was a member of Bellingham Golf & Country Club. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Frank, in 1978. FRANKLIN, Bemis Clay, passed away at home on September 13, 2004 in Bellingham. He was 82, born July 1, 1922 in Fountain Run, KY to Loftus and Betty (Robinson) Franklin. Bemis retired from the U. S. Army as a Sgt. 1st Class, having served in both WWII and the Korean War. He loved salmon fishing in Alaska, and his grandchildren. FRANKLIN, Ernest Joseph, age 84 of Graham, WA, died March 22, 1997 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1913 in New Rockford, ND, to Perry and Anna (Sinkler) Franklin. July 7, 1950 he married Sylva Jones in Seattle, WA. Mr. Franklin worked as Powder Man over the years. He helped build the Hoover Dam, worked in the Bellingham Coal Mine, Suntrana Open Pit Coal Mine in Alaska, and the Copper Mine in Butte, MT. He worked on Cross State Cascade Highway, Snelson Construction Co. in Whatcom Co. and he helped build Highway 20 on Whidbey Island. Mr. Franklin helped raise three of his grandchildren after their mother died in a car accident. Mr. Franklin loved to fish. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Sylva in 1988 and a sister Rose Watlow in 1997. Survived by his daughter, Ginger Beasley of Graham, WA; stepson, Raymond Klander of Bellingham; brother, Edwin Franklin of Florence, OR; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. FRANKLIN, Patricia Gabler, age 68, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, (1992), at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Jan. 24, 1924 to Elizabeth Harris and Matthias George Gabler. She graduated from St. Mary's College, South Bend, Indiana, took additional training in Laboratory science and became a registered medical technologist. She worked at her profession for several years in south Bend and Buffalo, New York, and when her husband finished medical school at the University of Buffalo she was able to move on to her first love, being a wife and mother. As her children progressed through high school she was able to devote literally thousands of hours as a volunteer at Downey Community Hospital and the Meals On Wheels program in Downey, CA. When her husband retired from his medical practice in Downey early in 1990, she became quite involved in the progress of their new home in Sudden Valley, occupying it in July of that year. FRANKLIN, Raymond Harvey, 60, a former Lynden resident, died Dec. 28, (1984) in Fergus Falls, Minn. He was born Feb. 19, 1924, in North Dakota, and married the former Virginia Constantine in Lynden in 1957. He served as an Army Air Corps bomber pilot in the South Pacific in World War II and worked in Lynden for 20 years. He retired in 1979. He is survived by his wife, three sons, a daughter, three grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. No funeral services were held. Burial took place in St. Cloud, Minn.
FRANKLIN, Roy V. Sr. (Pappy), age 93, of 2625 W. Maplewood, Bellingham, passed away in Bellingham Thurs., Dec. 26, (1985). He was born in (Kingston) Caro County, Michigan, Jan. 11, 1892. He was a Whatcom County resident since 1905, was employed at Darigold 25 years, worked with son for number of years for San Juan airlines and was a member of the Ferndale Senior Citizens Jet Oldsters. FRANKLIN, Virginia Ruth, former Laurel resident and business operator, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1993, of a heart attack in Silver Star, Mont. She was 73. A funeral was held in Twin Bridges, Mont. Mrs. Franklin was born Oct. 25, 1920, to John and Margaret (Wilcox) Constantine in Snoqualmie Falls. A graduate of Bellingham High School and the former Bellingham Commercial College, she moved to California, where she worked for McDonnell Douglas Corp. from 1941 to 1943. Mrs. Franklin returned to Bellingham, where she became head bookkeeper for Montgomery Ward until 1957. She married Ray Franklin in 1957. They operated Ray's Auto Wrecking in Laurel until they retired in 1971. They both were interested in antique cars. Between 1971 and 1976, they made 83 trips to move their collection of autos, parts and equipment to the Franklin Farm in Richville, Minn. When her husband died in 1984, Mrs. Franklin moved to Twin Bridges to be close to family members. A Cub Scout den mother, she also participated in local government, winning election as a city council woman in Twin Bridges. She supported school athletics as a Twin Bridges "Falcons Booster" and was a member of Vigilante Toastmasters for eight years. She is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, a sister and a great-grandson. Survivors include daughter LeAnn Allen of Silver Star; son Robert Franklin of Minneapolis; stepson Perry Franklin and Ernest Franklin, both of Laurel; sister Margaret Kolberg of Phoenix; and four grandchildren.
FRANKLIN, Wesley H., 81, of Burlington died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 1990) of natural causes at his home. He was born Aug. 20, 1908, in Bellingham and attended Bellingham schools. His parents, William and Ida Franklin, came to Bellingham as pioneers in 1889. Mr. Franklin lived in Burlington for the past 25 years. He married Gertrude DeBondt on Aug. 25, 1938, in Bellingham. He had been employed as a sawmill worker for Willis, Rogers and Pearson in Sedro-Woolley and retired in 1964. He was a member of Lumber and Sawmill Workers Local 2637 in Everett. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Joan Christianson of Nooksack; a sister, Pearle Kvistad of Bellingham; and two granddaughters. A private cremation will take place at Greenacres Memorial Park. No services will be held, at his request. Arrangements were made through Hulbrush Funeral Home, Burlington.
FRANKLIN, William Clarence, age 78, of 730 Mount Baker Ave., Ferndale, passed away at a local hospital Monday, Jan. 18, (1954) following a lingering illness. Mr. Franklin had resided in Ferndale for the past five years and was a retired cabinetmaker. He leaves to survive, his wife, Marguerette, at home; two brothers, Roy F. of Bellingham, Marshall of Calimisa, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Netta Edwards of Tacoma, and Mrs. Della Kenoyer of Darrington; also many nieces and nephews. FRANKLIN, William H., age 80, of 2838 Franklin Street, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, May 9, (1963). Mr. Franklin was a sixty-two year resident of Bellingham, where he was an employe (sic) of Puget Power for thirty-five years, after which time he owned and operated the Franklin Electric until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. FRANKS, Constantine "Gus", age 62, of 402 South State Street, Bellingham, died Thursday, November 18, 1993 at his Bellevue residence. He was born July 1, 1931 in Bellingham to James and Coula Franks. He was a graduate of Bellingham High school, class of 1948, and was in the U.S. coast Guard, 3 years aboard the cutter North Wind during the Korean Conflict. He attended Western Washington College of Education for two years. Gus owned and operated four Super 24 Stores until his retirement. He then owned and operated a Cadillac dealership in Palm Springs with his two sons. Survived by two sons, John and David Franks, both of Palm Springs, CA; two daughters, Lisa and husband Mark Averill of San Jose, CA, Linda and husband Mark Deymaz of Little Rock, AK [AR]; two brothers, Bill and wife Janet Franks of Bellingham, John and wife Soula Franks of Bellevue, WA; and four grandchildren. FRANSEN, Erick - Bellingham resident Erick Fransen died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1992, at his home. He was 65. Visitation will be held from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, and following the memorial service. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones-Moles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Schroeder officiating. He was born Jan. 18 1927, in Passaic, N. J., to Gustav and Bertha Sattorius Fransen. He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1967, during World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He married his wife, MaryAnn, on Dec. 23, 1961, in Winterhaven, Calif. He retired in 1967 from NAD Bangor in Bremerton. Following retirement, he worked as a maintenance engineer at the North Broward Hospital District in Pompano Beach, Fla., retiring after 10 years of service. He was a Bellingham resident for 2 1/2 years. Survivors include his wife, MaryAnn; son John Frew of Mammoth Lakes, Calif.; daughters, Jacque Smith of Everett, and Lori Fransen of Bellingham; and one grandchild.
FRANSEN, Gladys E., age 85, formerly of Los Angeles, California, died in a Lynden nursing home on Sunday, August 9, (1981). Mrs. Fransen moved to the Lynden area in 1978 following her husband Axel's death in 1975. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ellen M. Hansen of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a nephew, Mr. John E. S. Mrs. Franzen, 9765 Van Buren Road, Lynden, was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Kooi, Wyo., and had lived in Whatcom County most of her life. Besides her job at the Sumas News, she had worked for the Lynden Tribune and as a secretary at Sumas and Everson elementary schools. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lynden. Survivors include her husband, John, of the family home; two sons, Jim of Auburn and Greg of San Diego, Calif; a stepson, Willey Cummings of Federal Way; a daughter, Rita Lewis of Auburn; a brother, John of Bellingham; three sisters, Agnes Ligock(i) of Lynden, Pat Sophie of Bellingham and Rosemary Whitman of Ferndale; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Franzke had resided in this community for the past 65 years, was a partner in a china store on Cornwall Ave. several years ago, has been a buyer and department manager of several stores, was a stove serviceman and was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Lloyd of this city and Donald W. of Tacoma; one daughter, Miss Geraldine Franzke of Bellingham; three grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar Franzke of Newport, Ore., and William of Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Mrs. Hulda Woodward in California, Mrs. Anna Gore of Vancouver, B. C., Mrs. Edna Scott of Medford, Ore., and Mrs. Della Flynn of Tacoma. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where private Christian Science services will be read Monday, Sept. 19. Cremation.

Mrs. Fraser had resided in this community for the past 68 years; had attended the Congregational Church; was a life member and past matron of Sehome Chapter No. 17, O.E.S.; had been chaplain of Nazareth Shrine No. 12, Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem; was a member of Whatcom County Past Matrons; Sehome Chapter of Matrons and Patrons; and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. FRASER, Douglas H., 57, died Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Fraser, who maintained homes in Denmark and The Bahamas, was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Bellingham. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1948 and later attended the University of Washington. Survivors include his wife, Helle Fraser; two daughters, B. Jody Fraser of Mount Vernon and Diane Fraser of San Francisco; four sons, Donald Fraser of Ketchikan, Alaska, Ronald Fraser of Bernardsville, N. J., Mark Fraser of Clifton, N. J., and R. Doug Fraser of San Francisco; one step-daughter, Inge Lise Hilton of Great Britain; his mother, Ruth Petschlag of San Pedro, Calif.; and one sister, Mary Morgan of Acton, Mass. FRASER, Jackson A., of Jacksonville, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993, in Bellingham. He was 81. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Greenacres Funeral Home. Burial will be in Florida. Born Dec. 5, 1911, in Vancouver, B. C., he married Vera C. Champlin on Jan. 11, 1968 in Florida. A 40-year resident of Bellingham, Mr. Fraser was an early member of Bellingham Yacht Club. He also was a past member of Bellingham Power Squadron and a past member of Bellingham Seals. He taught scuba diving for the Bellingham YMCA, where he wrote the scuba training manual. Mr. Fraser was an entrepreneur. He was in Bellingham visiting friends when he died. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sister Dorothy Fraser Green of Tallahassee, Fla.; and nieces Colleen Vogan of Woodstock, Ca., and Shannon Vogan Miller of Huntsville, Ala. FRASIER, Jack of Lynden died Thursday, Aug. 21, 1997, at Vancor Hospital in Seattle. He was 67. A lifetime Lynden resident, he was born to Leslie and Margaret (Moffit) Frasier on the family farm south of Lynden on April 26, 1930. He graduated from Lynden High School in 1948 and operated dairy farms with his brother on Hannegan Road. Mr. Frasier enjoyed attending sporting events, particularly Lynden basketball. He was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Hatley, in 1972, and by his parents. Survivors include a sister, Emily Hudson of Lake Forest Park; brothers Robert Frasier of Alger and William Frasier of Lynden; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private, graveside service will be Monday at Lynden Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.
FRASIER, Leslie, age 67, of Route 2, Lynden, passed away at his home suddenly, Thursday, Nov. 29, (1962). A lifetime resident of Lynden it was here that he was born March 4, 1895, living here since. He was a charter member of the Whatcom County Dairyman's Assn. and a member of the Western Farmers Assn. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; three sons, Robert of Bellingham, William and Jack, both of Route 2, Lynden; two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Hatley of Everett, Mrs. Emily Bitter of Seattle, also seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter. FRASIER, Margaret, a lifetime resident of Whatcom County, passed away at the Christian Rest Home in Lynden on Saturday, Feb. 24, 1990, at the age of 90. Mrs. Frasier was born on June 16, 1899, on a Northwood farm to pioneer parents Peter and Martha (Bates) Moffit. She attended Northwood Grade School and rode horse and buggy every day to attend Lynden High School. She married Leslie Frasier of Lynden in 1917 and they were dairy farmers until his death in 1962. Mrs. Frasier enjoyed singing at the Northwood Baptist Church. Margaret continued to make her home on the farm until 1987, when she became a resident of Alderwood Nursing Home. In January of this year, she moved to the Christian Rest Home. Survivors include her daughter, Emily Hudson and husband Wendell of Seattle; three sons, Robert L. Frasier and wife Mildred of Bellingham, and William and Jack Frasier, both of Lynden; a son-in-law, Heber Hatley of Bellingham; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Harriet Hatley, in 1972. Graveside services will be held today, Feb. 28, 1990, in Lynden Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Blades officiating. Services were under the care of Gillies Funeral Home of Lynden.
FRASIER, Stanley E. – There will be no services for Stanley E. Frasier of Blaine. Mr. Frasier died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000 at Stafholt Good Samaritan Center in Blaine. He was 80. Born Sept 4, 1920 to Herbert and Mamie Frasier in Tower, Mich., he moved to Whatcom County in 1984. Mr. Frasier graduated from high school in Onaway, Mich. Mr. Frasier served in the U.S. Marine Corps' 124th Fighter Squadron at Guadalcanal and Munda in the South Pacific. On May 12, 1945, he married Mildred Thompson in Silver Springs, Md. Mr. Frasier retired from Buick-General Motors of Flint, Mich. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Custer and Clio, Mich. He enjoyed fishing and boating. His son Terry Frasier died in 1997. One brother and one sister also died previously. Survivors include his wife of Blaine; son Thomas T. Frasier of Davison, Mich.; sister Freda Woodruff of Cheboygan, Mich.; brothers Arden Frasier of Davison, Daniel Frasier of Clio and Robert Frasier of Onaway; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 16 nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Valley Funeral home and Cremation Service of Lynden.

Mrs. Frasure was born Dec. 20, 1877 in Garden Grove, Iowa and moved to the Blaine area in 1922 and for many years had made her home in Bellingham. She is survived by her husband, Dave, at the family home; five sons, Otto Clark of Blaine, George Clark of Wenatchee, John Clark of Everett, Fay and Joe Clark, both in California; one daughter, Mrs. Minola Bolward of Everett; also 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, at 2 p.m. in the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine with the Rev. Richard Clark officiating. Concluding services and interment in Enterprise Cemetery.

FRAVEL, Mary J. of Blanchard, aged 80 years, died Monday (Nov. 14, 1938) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. C. Heal, 2807 Sunset Drive. She was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal church and is survived by one son, Nason Fravel, of Blanchard, and three daughters, Mrs. Heal, Rebecca and Blanche Fravel, city. Funeral arrangements are being made at the Harlow-Hollingsworth funeral home. The town of Blanchard was first known as Fravel, named after Mrs. Fravel's husband.
FRAVEL, Rebecca, 87, 2897 Sunset Drive, died Friday (Oct. 29, 1982). She was born Sept. 6, 1895, in Blanchard, and had been a Bellingham resident for 60 years. A local businesswoman, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Luke's Hospital Assistance League, Soroptomist Club and Republican Women's Club. FRAYSETH, Gale Diane – Funeral Services for Gale Diane (Sybrant) Frayseth of Bakersfield, Calif, formerly of Bellingham, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Jones-Moles Funeral Home. Mrs. Frayseth died Tuesday, Feb 1, 2000 in Bakersfield. She was 55. Born Sept 24, 1944 to Ethel and Eugene Sybrant in Bellingham, she moved to San Jose, Calif in 1964. In 1995, she moved to Bakersfield. She enjoyed fishing, hiking, football, bowling, the Reno Air Races and camping in the Sierras in California and on Orcas Island. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing; Jeff Gordon was her favorite driver. Survivors include son Dan Frayseth of San Jose, daughter Connie Walls of Bakersfield, sister Dorothy Newberry of Oak Harbor, two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

FRAZIER, Cecil A. - A memorial service for Cecil A. Frazier, formerly of Lynden, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gillies Funeral Home chapel and at 2 p.m. Monday in Northport Presbyterian Church. His ashes will be placed in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Frazier died Friday, Aug. 15, 1997, at Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville. He was 76. Born Nov. 16, 1920, to Julius and Celia Frazier in VanBuren, Mo., he graduated from high school there in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged in 1945. Following his marriage to Marie Millman on June 16, 1945, in Seattle, Mr. Frazier moved to Lynden. He farmed in Lynden and operated a lumber mill in Bellingham until moving to Northport, Wash., in 1975, where he continued in the lumber business. Mr. Frazier was a member of Colville Elks Lodge, Northport American Legion Post, Lynden United Methodist Church and the Everett Hoo-Hoo Club. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and traveling to Southern states during the winter. Survivors include his wife, of the family home; sons Steve Frazier of Colville and Mike Frazier of Morro Bay, Calif.; daughter Teresa Frazier of Vancouver, Wash.; sister Lois Hazel of Lynden; and two grandchildren.
FRAZIER, Celia Jane, 100, formerly of 300 17th St., Lynden, died in a Bellingham nursing home on Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993. Memorial funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 7th and Grover Streets, Lynden, with Rev. Hoyt Sherwin officiating. Burial will precede in Greenacres Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. Visitation hours will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. The daughter of William and Sarah (Hillhouse) Claxton, Celia was born in Casconade County, Mo. on Nov. 26, 1892. She was raised there and was married to her husband Gus Frazier in VanBuren, Mo. on Sept. 11, 1916. In 1943 they moved with their family to Lynden. For many years they raised strawberries on East Badger Road. They moved into their south 17th Street home, which they built in 1960. Mr. Frazier died in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church in VanBuren, Mo. and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She is survived by daughter Lois Hazel of Lynden; son Cecil Frazier and wife Marie of Northport, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister Edith Thomas of Henryetta, Okla.
FRAZIER, Claude R. age 67 of Yakima passed away suddenly in that city Friday, July 20, (1962). Mr. Frazier had formerly resided in Bellingham where he operated the bus depot restaurant. He was a veteran of WWI. Until his death, Mr. Frazier was a partner in the Brown Pharmacy in Yakima. Survivors include his wife Margaretta at home; 2 sons, Robert D. Frazier and Jack E, Frazier, both of Bellingham; 4 sisters, Mrs. Louis Lee and Mrs. Clifford Hughes both of Colfax, Mrs. William Blair of Spokane and Mrs. Steve Casper of Seattle. Also 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday July 23, (1962) in the Langevin and Mussetter Funeral Home in Yakima. Graveside services will be held under the direction of the Westford Funeral Home in Bayview Cemetery, Tuesday, July 24 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Obed L. G. Vold pastor of Central Lutheran Church officiating.
FRAZIER, Douglas C. of Lynden died of an apparent heart attack Monday, June 16, 1997. He was 47. No service will be held. Born June 17, 1949, to Bob and Anita Loft Frazier in Bellingham, he graduated from Bellingham High School in 1967. He married Marlene Haufle on June 22, 1970 in Bellingham. Mr. Frazier worked at various jobs and was a herdsman at Van Lant Dairy in Lynden at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife of Lynden; daughters Treena Frazier and Becky Frazier, both of Lynden; and numerous other relatives. Arrangements are by Gillies Funeral Home.
FRAZIER, Elmer E., age 72, of 2211 King St., passed away at home Thursday, April 26, (1956). Mr. Frazier had resided in this community for the past 20 years, was a member of the Free Methodist Church and of the International Assn. of Machinists Lodge No. 2239. Surviving relatives include his widow, Mrs. Anna J. Frazier at home; one son, H.R. Frazier of this city; two daughters, Mrs. L. E. Bowman of Bellingham and Mrs. James Curtis of Seattle; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Gregory of Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Golda Busby and Mrs. Sylvia Anderson of Wichita, Kansas; five brothers, Rev. J. W. Frazier of Everett, S. E. Frazier, of Quinter, Kansas, F. H. Frazier of Nampa, Idaho, Noah of Hayes, Kansas and Vernon S. of Bellingham; one half brother, Sylvan Frazier of Los Angeles, Calif.; one half sister, Mrs. Orville Brant of Texas City, Texas; stepmother, Mrs. Charles Sheafer of Topeka, Kansas. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home, where services will be conducted by the Rev. S. E. Fosket, assisted by Rev. Hollis Grubb, Tuesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. Final resting place, Woodlawn Cemetery. Casketbearers will be the grandsons, Robert, Jack, Tom and Paul Bowman, Russell Phillips and Wheatley Bucher.
FRAZIER, Jackson Evan - A memorial service for Jackson Evan Frazier and other crew members of the Miss Lindsay will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Zuanich Point Park. Mr. Frazier was lost at sea Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997. He was 39. Born April 17, 1958 to Jack and Louise Frazier in Bellingham, he graduated from Sehome High School in 1976. A commercial fisher for several years, Mr. Frazier had worked for the city of Bellingham since 1991. Survivors include his wife, Joan; daughters Bryn and Molly; son Thomas; his parents; sisters Carrie Bailey and Georgia Nicholes, both of Bellingham, Debbie Woodruff of Eastsound and Bryn Bunn of Redmond; and numerous other relatives.
FRAZIER, John - Funeral services will be held in the Solie Funeral Home in Everett Friday at 11 a.m. and graveside services in Bayview Cemetery here at 3 p.m. for Rev. John W. Frazier, former Bellingham minister. Mr. Frazier died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 1960) at his home in Everett after a brief illness. He was 73.
FRAZIER, John – A memorial service for John Frazier of Bellingham will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Bellingham Co-housing Common House. Bring a food item and memories to share during the celebration of his life. Mr. Frazier died of complications caused by multiple sclerosis on Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at St. Francis Extended Health Care. He was 57. Born May 9, 1943 to Tom and Kendall Frazier in Philadelphia, he grew up in Seattle, Alaska, Iowa and Michigan. A poet and a scholar of history, music and literature, he worked as a bus driver and a construction contractor. He also worked in the field of recreational therapy with the elderly. His son Matt Frazier died in 1998 and his father died in 1991. Survivors include his wife Debbie Garrett, and son Frank and daughter Joan, all of the family home; son Tom Frazier of Newport Beach, Ore.; his mother of Bellingham; brothers Peter Frazier of Bellingham and Alan Frazier of Mercer Island; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Gillies Funeral Home on Monday with Rev. Hoyt Sherwin officiating. Burial followed in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Frazier was born on Dec. 4, 1894 in VanBuren, Mo., a son of Jackson and Artemesa (Kelly) Frazier. He married his wife Celia J. Claxton in VanBuren on Sept. 11, 1916. In 1943 they came to Whatcom County, where Gus ran a berry farm on the East Badger Road until his retirement. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lynden. Mr. Frazier passed away just one day before he and Celia were to celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Frazier survives her husband at the family home. Other survivors include his daughter Lois Hazel of Lynden, son Cecil Frazier and wife Marie of North Port, and brother John Frazier of Cincinnati. FRAZIER, Kathryn, age 49, passed away in Yakima Wednesday, February 12, (1947). Mrs. Frazier had resided in this community for many years before moving to Yakima and was a member of the Episcopal church. Surviving relatives are the husband, Claude R., at home; two sons, Robert D., of Bellingham, and Jackson E., of San Francisco, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel D. Jones, of Bellingham, Mrs. Deborah D. Randall, of Mount Vernon, Mrs. Lucille D. Sanderson, of Seattle, and Mrs. Myrtle D. Moser, of Colville, Wash.; three brothers, Fred P. Donley, of Portland, Ore., Lee W. Donley, of Aberdeen, and B. F. Donley, of Seattle; one grandson and a niece, Mrs. Curtis E. Brown, of Bellingham. The remains were received by the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Canon E. B. Smith, Monday, February 17, at 3 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View.
FRAZIER, Marie W. - Memorial services for Marie W. Frazier, formerly of Bellingham, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Butterworths Funeral Chapel in Seattle. Private graveside services will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood. Mrs. Frazier died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1994, at her Seattle home. She was 88. Born June 7, 1905, to Lulu Belle Connley in Mont Pellier, Ohio, she married H. R. Frazier on Jan. 21, 1927, in Kansas. They moved from Kansas to Bellingham in 1933 and left Bellingham in 1959 to live in Seattle. A homemaker and mother, Mrs. Frazier loved to can fruits and vegetables for her family. Survivors include her husband of the family home; sons Vane Frazier of Ventura, Calif., and Jon Frazier of Bellingham; daughters LaVon Bucher of Kirkland, Lynn Phillips of Seattle, Nadene Westphall of LaConner and Ann Olason of Blaine; brother Capper Hill of Colorado; sister Judy Jones of Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
FRAZIER, Robert L. - Funeral service for Robert L. Frazier, age 56, of Bellingham, will be Sat. May 29 at 2 p.m. in Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Edwards officiating. Mr. Frazier passed away Wed. May 26, 1982. He is survived by his wife Anita; 1 son, Douglas & wife Marlene Frazier of Lynden; 1 daughter, Diane & husband Kurt Rine of City; 2 grandchildren, Treena and Becky Frazier of City; 1 brother, Ernest & wife Patricia Frazier of California; 2 sisters, Shirley & husband Jack Pattengale and Darlene Frazier, all in Arizona; several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. FRAZIER, Robert Thomas, infant son of Robert & Linda Frazier of Olympia, passed away in that city Sat. Aug. 13, (1977). Besides his parents he leaves to survive 1 sister Nancy of the family home, paternal grandparents and maternal great-grandmother Mr. & Mrs. Jess Roberts and Mrs. Adele Lowery of this city and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Dannier, Vancouver, Wash. Private family services were held Tuesday Aug. 16 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Herbert B. McLellan officiating. Followed by interment in Bay View Cemetery.
FRAZIER, Thomas, age 72, died June 15, 1991. He was born in 1918 (Oct. 30) in Seattle and lived most of his life in the Pacific Northwest. He worked as a logger, fisherman, seaman, and during World War II served four years in the Merchant Marine. He earned three degrees from University of Washington; a BA and MA in Literature and a Masters in Library Science. Most of his adult life was spent an an academic librarian at University of Washington, Drake University, Michigan State University and Western Washington University. He particularly valued and enjoyed classical music, serious literature and art, good food and conversation, liberal politics, long-distance running, and wilderness hiking. A strong family man, he is survived by his wife Kendall of Bellingham, sons John and Peter of Bellingham, Alan of Mercer Island, sisters Dee Niskanen of Portland, Ore., and Mary Lamont, six grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
