ENLOE, Minnie, age 70, of 2821 W. Maplewood, passed away at home Friday, Jan. 29, (1960). Mrs. Enloe had been a resident of this community her entire life and was a member of the Central Lutheran Church. Surviving relatives include the husband; Carl F. at the family home; six daughters; Miss Lucille Enloe of San Francisco, Mrs. John Pittington of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. John Mornin of Palo Alto, Calif., Mrs. Steve Johnson of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Ted DeMotts of White Fish, Mont., and Mrs. Jeanette Clemons of Seattle; 10 grandchildren; three brothers; Melvin Erickson, Hans Erickson, and Mark Erickson, all of Bellingham; three sisters; Mrs. Laura Howee of Packwood, Wash., Mrs. Hilda Johnson and Mrs. Adelia Moller, both of Bellingham; and numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Pastor Oscar A. Jacobson Monday, Feb. 1 at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

ENLOE, Sterlen, age 78, of Ketchikan, Alaska, passed away in that city, Sunday, Oct. 7, (1962). Mr. Enloe jad resided in Whatcom County 10 years before moving to Ketchikan in 1920, where he was a commercial fisherman. Survivors are one son, Merle Enloe, Sitka, Alaska; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Nakies, Seattle, Mrs. Allene Tucker, Seattle, Mrs. Evelyn Clevenger, Quilcene, Wash.; two brothers, Garl Enloe, Mount Vernon, Bob Enloe, Hiddenite, N.C.; four sisters, Mrs. R. L. Dunlap, Cherokee, N.C., Mrs. H. J. Bradley Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Alice Rich, Bellevue, Ky., Mrs. Ora Trimble, Pasadena, Calif., and one niece, Mrs. John Pittington, Mount Vernon, Wash. Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Obed L. G. Vold on Friday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at Greenacres Memorial Park under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.

ENNEN, Adalbert "Del" 74, who with his brother Herb owned and operated Ennen's Food Stores Inc., died Friday (April 27, 1990) at St. Joseph Hospital. A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Saviour's Lutheran Church. A graveside service will precede the memorial service at 1 p.m. at Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Ennen was born Nov. 4, 1915, in Bellingham and married the former T. Dorothy Morris Dec. 17, 1944. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor during World War II.
Mr. Ennen loved the grocery business and retired in 1985, after 50 years in the stores. He was a second generation grocer, who entered the business at the age of 12, doing odd jobs for his father, Herman Ennen, who owned the old Fair Market on Grand Street. In 1952, Mr. Ennen and Herb Ennen, opened their first Thriftway store on Holly Street. The Ennens now operate Ennen's markets in Bellingham, Lynden and Oak Harbor and also the Fair Market on Sunset Drive and a mini-market on Electric Avenue.
Mr. Ennon lived in Sudden Valley for 15 years and was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Sudden Valley golf and country club and the Bellingham Yacht Club. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Ennen; daughter Lori; son David and daughter-in-law Patti; three grandsons Nate, Nick and Mikey; brother Herb and his wife Betty; sister Alma Bacon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Westford funeral home.

ENNEN, Anna Marie whose residence was 2226 B Street, passed away at the family residence of Thursday, May 13, (1954) at the age of 73 following a lingering illness. Mrs. Ennen had been a resident of Bellingham since 1900 and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a president of the Ladies' Aid Society for 19 years. She was also a member of the Missionary Society. Mrs. Ennen's maiden name was Anna Marie Schultz. She came to the United States in 1897 and was married to Herman Ennen in Nebraska on October 26, 1899. Arriving in Bellingham in 1900 when Mr. Ennen became affiliated with and owner of the Fair Store. Surviving relatives include her husband, Herman Ennen; two sons, Herbert and Adalbert Ennen of Bellingham; one daughter, Mrs. Alma Bacon of Seattle; five grandchildren. Rev. Edward M. Butenshon, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate at funeral services on Monday, May 17, at 2 o'clock in the Chapel of Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home. Interment Greenacres Memorial Park.

ENNEN, Anne Irene, age 70, of 1516 (location not stated) passed away July 11, (1975). Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Moles Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Arthur Olson. Mrs. Ennen had been a resident of Whatcom County for 40 years and was a member of Evergreen Homemakers Club and the Jet Oldsters. She is survived by three daughters, Hazel Ennen of Juneau, Alaska, Bernice Smith of Carnation, Betty Hoff of Ferndale; three sons, Gene of Sequim, Louis of Pacifica, Calif., Larry of Bremerton; her mother Eva Robertson of Kelson (Kelso?); one brother, G. R. Robertson of Bremerton; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Interment was in Enterprise Cemetery.

ENNEN, Betty H., age 76, of 1801 E. Lopez Court, Bellingham, passed away January 22, 1994 in Bellingham. She was born August 23, 1917 in Bellingham to Jacob and Ermine Hilburn and has been a lifetime resident. Mrs. Ennen was a member of the Christ the Servant Lutheran Church; enjoyed sewing; raising orchids in her greenhouse and gardening; snow skiing; golfing on local golf courses and in Hawaii. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Ennen; son, John C. and his wife Sharon Ennen; daughter Carol J. and her husband Dennis Sandvig, all of Bellingham; her brother Preston Hilburn of Poulsbo, WA; five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. A private family committal service will be held at Greenacres Cemetery. The arrangements are services are under the direction of The Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel and Crematorium of Bellingham.

ENNEN, George, age 83, of Ferndale, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, February 26, (1950). Mrs. (sic) Ennen had been a resident of the county for the past 11 years. Surviving relatives include one son, Herman L. of Ferndale; one sister, Mrs. Anna Hoeting of Rexford, Kansas; one brother, Herman F. Ennen of Bellingham; seven grandchildren. Funereal services will be conducted Thursday, March 2, at 1 p.m., within the Chapel of the Monroe Mortuary, in Ferndale, with the Rev. S. Rue officiating. Interment in Enterprise Cemetery.

ENNEN, Herman, age 89, who resided at 621 17th St., passed away at that residence Thursday, March 15, (1962) following a brief illness. Mr. Ennen was born in Ostfriesland, Germany. He immigrated to Nebraska at the age of 14 and in 1899 was married to Anna Marie Schultz who passed away in 1954. Mr. and Mrs. Ennen came to Whatcom County in 1900 and he was the oldest grocery man in this area. Since 1900 he had been associated with the Fair Market and had been in semi-retirement since 1947. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, a member of Associated Groceries and Elks Lodge No. 194. He leaves to survive two sons, Adalbert H. and Herbert O., both of Bellingham; his daughter, Mrs. Alma K. Bacon of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and six grandchildren. Rev. D. W. Taylor will conduct funeral services on Monday, March 19, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Bingham & Jerns Funeral Home. Interment, Greenacres Memorial Park.

ENNEN, Julia Anna, age 46 years, of Rt. 2, Ferndale, passed away at a local hospital, Friday, January 23, (1948) following a brief illness. She had been a resident of the county for the past 12 years. Mrs. Ennen is survived by her husband, Herman L.; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Taylor, of Bellingham, and Mrs. Bernice Smith, of Rt. 2, Ferndale; three sons, Gene, of Bellingham, Louis, of Alaska, and Larry at home; one sister, Mrs. Fera Mondike, of Great Falls, Mont.; two brothers, Charles Porch, of Great Falls, Mont., and William Gay, of Helena, Mont.; also four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Monroe Chapel in Ferndale, Tuesday, January 27, at 2 p.m., with Rev. C. J. Nestvold officiating. Interment, Enterprise Cemetery.

ENNIS, James Ralph, age 45, of 2216 G Street, passed away at home Sunday, May 13, (1956). Mr. Ennis had resided in Bellingham his entire life and had attended the First Advent Christian Church. Surviving relatives include his mother, Mrs. Rue E. Ennis and two sisters, Miss Mary E. Ennis and Miss Neva A. Ennis, all at home, two brothers, Frank A., of Bellingham and Chief Warrant Officer William J. Ennis of Ft. Sumpter, South Carolina. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Joe Tom Hate Tuesday, May 15 at 10 a.m. Final resting place Woodlawn.

ENNIS, Mary Jane, age 62, of 2075 Vista Drive, Ferndale, passed away in St. Luke's Hospital on Sunday, April 20, 1986. Born in Akron, Ohio on July 3, 1923. She was a resident of Whatcom County for the past four years. Prior to then she lived in Van Nuys, California. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Ferndale Senior Center. She leaves to survive one son, Richard P. Ennis, of Ferndale; one daughter, Patricia Dendt and husband, Ted of Chatsworth, California; two brothers, Frank Masters of Tucson, Arizona and Robert Masters of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren and one great grandson. Graveside services will be held at Enterprise Cemetery on Thursday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jack Buckalew officiating. Arrangements by Moles.

ENNIS, Mary Raffaella, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ennis, 2524 Henry Street, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday, August 27, (1947). Surviving relatives include, beside the parents, one small sister, Maria and two grandmothers, Mrs. Rue Ennis, of Bellingham, and Mrs. Raffella Favilla in Italy. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home.

ENNIS, Neva A. - Former Bellingham resident Neva A. Ennis, 65, of Edmonds, died Sunday (March 22, 1987) in Seattle. She was born March 9, 1922, in Bellingham, and had been a resident of the north Seattle area for the past 20 years after leaving this area. She was a member of Advent Christian Church in Bellingham. Survivors include a sister, Mary E. Ackaret of Edmonds, and two brothers, Frank A. Ennis of Concrete and William J. Ennis of Everett. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at First Advent Christian Church of Seattle, with Rev. Cleo Thomas officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale will precede services. ENNIS, Rue Eliza, 74, of 2216 G St., passed away in a local hospital Friday, May 3, (1957). Mrs. Ennis had resided in this community for the past 44 years, and was a member of the First Advent Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Frank of Bellingham and Chief Warrant Officer William J. of Ft. Sumpter, So. Carolina; two daughters, Miss Mary E. and Miss Neva Ennis both of this city; 5 grandchildren; three brothers, Morton Alexander of La Crosse, Wis., Fred Alexander of Sparta, Wis., and Charles Alexander of Waukesha, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Bertrom of Lakeside, Wn.; Mrs. Amy Hale of Seattle, and Mrs. Mary Lambert of Waukesha, Wis. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Joe Tom Tate Wednesday, May 8 at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place Woodlawn.

ENNOR, Milton W. of Bellingham died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997. He was 93. No services will be held. Born April 25, 1904, to Chester and Marjorie Wilkerson Ennor in Wadsworth, Nev., he married Lilian Smith June 20, 1931, in Carson City, Nev. A Bellingham resident since 1995, Mr. Ennor enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include son Tim Ennor of Mount Holly, N. J., daughter Thela Divens of Vancouver, Wash., nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one nephew. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

ENOS, Bill C., age 36, of 2331 Grant Street, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 20, (1954). Mr. Enos had resided in the community for the past 2 months, and formerly lived in San Francisco. He was employed at the General Petroleum Oil Refinery by the Bechtel Corporation, and was a veteran of the Second World War with the U.S. Army. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Enos, in San Francisco; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard C. Enos of Gillespie, Illinois; 2 brothers: J.C.L. Enos in Bellingham, and Roy of Bunker Hill, Illinois; 2 sisters, Mrs. Juanita Davenport of Geory, Indiana, and Mrs. Cleora Campbell of Chicago, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. The remains will be forwarded by the Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home to San Francisco, Calif., for services and interment.

ENOS, Eva May, age 78, of 506 Ohio St., passed away at home Friday, Sept. 26, (1958). Mrs. Enos had been a resident of this community for the past 5 years, moving here from Port Angeles where she had resided for 8 years and prior to that time had been a resident of California for 24 years. Surviving relatives include 3 sons; Howard A. Bailey, of Bellingham; Tim Lee Bailey, of Lynden; and Glen R. Bailey of Ferndale; 2 daughters; Mrs. Clara E. Fowler, of Lynwood, Calif.; and Mrs. Violet P. Lott of Ferndale; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Edith Lammoureaux, and Mrs. Elda Melvin, both of Bellingham; and a brother; Walter Ladiser of Bellingham. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 1:00 p.m.

ENOS, John, age 77 years, of Everson, Route 2, passed away at a local hospital Monday, October 6th, (1952) following a lingering illness. He had been a resident of the Everson and Sumas districts since 1910. Mr. Enos is survived by his wife, Marie H., and one son, Lincy, at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Henderson, and four brothers, Frank, George, William and Levi, all in Iowa. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 8th, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home at Sumas, with the Rev. Joe Tom Tate and Rev. Earl Crouse, officiating. Interment Sumas Cemetery.

ENOS, Lincy W., 69, passed away Wednesday, January 3, (1973). He was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County and a retired businessman. He belonged to the Christian Advent Church. Surviving him are a cousin, Mrs. Marie Bond of California. Bingham and Jerns Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

ENOS, Marie H., age 92, of Everson, Rt. 2, passed away at her home Monday, Nov. 28, (1955). She is survived by one son, Lynn of Everson, Rt. 2; one sister in Colorado. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home in Sumas with Rev. Norvil Richardson officiating. Interment Sumas Cemetery.

ENOS, Melvin J., age 44 years, resident of the Y.M.C.A., passed away in a local hospital Sunday, Dec. 12, (1954). Mr. Enos was a mechanic and had resided in Bellingham for a short time and had previously resided in Seattle. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving relatives include one son, Brennan Enos of Mill Valley; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Plant in Hawaii; 1 brother, Everett Enos, and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Ancic, both of Mill Valley, Calif. Requim mass will be said Friday, Dec. 17, at 9:30 a.m. within the Church of the Assumption with Rev. Fr. Bernard V. Cremer officiating. ENSIGN, Mavis Elaine, former Whatcom County resident, died Friday (13 July 1990) at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. She was 65. She was formerly Mavis Frombly, whose parents, Carl and Myra Frombly owned and operated a dairy farm on Whatcom County's Sand Rd. for almost 40 years. Mavis was born 20 August 1924 in Bellingham and graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1942. She graduated from Griffin-Murphy Business College in Bellingham in 1943. She married Wayne York Ensign Sr. 16 May 1944, and lived in Bremerton, Bellingham, and Gray's Harbor County before settling in the Bothell area in 1953. Mavis worked for the North Shore School District as a head secretary from 1959 to 1979 at Bothell and Inglemoor High Schools. Wayne and Mavis moved to Sequim in 1979, and moved back to Kirkland in 1987 to be closer to family, friends and grandchildren. Mavis is survived by her husband, Wayne Sr. of the family home, sons Wayne Jr. of Tuscon, Arizona; Gale of Kirkland; Mike of Bothell; and four grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, 18 July at the First Lutheran Church of Bothell, 10207 NE 183rd Bothell. Local arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.

ENSIGN, Robin, age 43, of 813 W. Lake Samish, passed away Sat., Sept. 12th, (1987). She was born Aug. 10, 1944 in Philadelphia, Penn. and was an executive director of N.W. Water Resource Land Water Management. She and her husband Thomas were married April 1987 in Forks, WA. She leaves to survive her husband, Thomas of the family home; 2 sons, Brooks Crummett of Olympia, Niel Crummett of Seattle; daughter, Trecy Crummett of Michigan; mother. ENSIGN, Wayne Cecil, age 83 of 1129 Lake Whatcom Blvd., passed away Sat. June 12,(1976). Mr. Ensign was a 50 year resident of this community, past master of Goshen Grange, life member of Mt. Baker Rock Club, member of William Lee Alexander Post No. 3685 VFW at Laurel, a 30 year employee as Superintendent of Maintenance as WWSC, active member of Senior Citizens, member of Mt. Baker Garden Club. Surviving wife, Emily, 1 son, Wayne Ensign of Bothell, 4 daughters, Mrs. Gaytha Knutson of Seattle. ENSIGN, Wayne York, Sr., former Bellingham resident, died Wednesday (24 April 1991) at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland. He was 69. Wayne was born 24 May 1921 in Olathe, Colorado and in 1926 moved with his family to Lopez Island in the San Juans, then in 1929 to Bellingham. Wayne was the son of Wayne and Dorothy Ensign who were long time Bellingham area residents. Wayne in 1937 enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard and served as an infantryman with K Company, 1st Battalion, 161st Infantry, 41st Infantry Division throughout the New Caledonia, Guadalcanal and New Guinea Campaigns of World War II. Wayne in 1944 was discharged for his war wounds, returned to Bellingham and married Whatcom County resident Mavis Frombly. Wayne in 1951 graduated from Western Washington State College as a teacher and was a high school principal and elementary teacher at schools in Grays Harbor County, Carnation and Everett before his retirement in 1979. Wayne and Mavis then moved to Sequim and in 1967 moved back to the Kirkland area to be near family and friends. Wayne belonged to the National Retired Teachers Association; The National Rifle Association; The Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post #127 in Bothell. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Mavis and is survived by 3 sons, Wayne Jr. of Tucson, Arizona, Gale of Kirkland and Mike of Bothell; 4 grandchildren; 4 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, 30 April at First Lutheran Church of Bothell. Arrangements by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

ENSIGN, William Russell, age 74 of 1280 E. Bakerview Rd., passed away Wed., May 4, (1977). Mr. Ensign was a retired Bellingham public schools custodian, a resident of this community for the past 35 years and a member of Immanuel Bible Church. Surviving wife, Lucille; 4 sons Elvin Ensign of Winnipeg, Canada, Russell Ensign, Fairbanks, Alaska, Donald Ensign, San Bernardino, Calif. and LeRoy Ensign, Portland, Oregon; 4 sisters, Mrs. Lela Lashley, Olathe, Colorado, Mrs. Lesta Bailey, Mrs. Adeline Holden both of Delta, Colorado and Mrs. Lula McHew, Grand Junction, Colorado and 7 grandchildren. ENSLEY, Barbara Jean - A funeral service for Barbara Jean Ensley, 55, of Sedro-Woolley will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with the Rev. Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyman Cemetery. Mrs. Ensley died Saturday (Aug. 10, 1991) at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley. She was born Dec. 14, 1935 in Vancouver, B.C., to Charles and Jean Fairman Britt. She moved to Washington at age 9 and was graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School. She married William Ensley in 1954 and lived near Lyman before moving to Sedro-Woolley. Mrs. Ensley worked at Northern State Hospital for many years and later was a cook for the Sedro-Woolley School District until she retired last year. Survivors include her husband William Ensley of the family home; sons, Randy Ensley of Sedro-Woolley and Robby Ensley of the family home; cousin, Douglas Farrar of Bellingham; two grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by son Rick, stepfather Robert Britt and mother Jean Britt. Arrangements are by the Lemley Chapel.

ENSLEY, Robert "Bob" age 59 passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 5, 1998 while on a vacation in Yakima, WA. He was born May 22, 1939 to Robert "Rob" E. & Lucille Ensley, in Cullowhee, North Carolina. At age 10 the family moved to Lyman, WA. Bob grew up in the Sedro Woolley & Lyman area and graduated from Sedro Woolley High School in 1957. He joined the Naval Reserve in 1956 and in 1958 he joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Yorktown. After leaving the Navy he was employed by Boeing for 2 years. In 1962 he came home to Sedro Woolley and on November 1, 1963 he married Linda Hacker of Bellingham, WA. They have made their home in Burlington for 33 years. He worked for Snelson Company, Inc., for over 20 years. He also worked for Haskell Corp. of Bellingham, and was currently employed for Diamond "B" Constructors of Bellingham. He was a Piping & Mechanical Estimator & Project Manager. Bob was an exceptionally devoted husband, father, grandfather & friend. He was very dedicated to his family & friends. Bob's biggest joy in life was being "Grandpa Bobby". His leisure time was spent camping, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Linda at the family home, 2 daughters, Virginia & husband Clay Learned, and children Christina & Jessie, Teresa Armenta & her fiancé Rusty Scott & children, Tyler, Christopher, Jake & Brittany, 3 sisters and their husbands, Dorothy & Charlie Gibbs, Carolyn & Dennis Coble, Jan & Steve Massey, father & mother-in-law, Roy & Margaret Hacker, sister & brother-in-law, Karen & Pete Mustacich, as well as many nieces & nephews. And also, very special friends Bob & Carol Atkins. ENSMAN, Frederick E., age 47, of Vancouver, WA, passed away July 22nd (1989) at his vacation home in Hansville, WA. He was born May 21, 1942, in Inglewood, CA, and graduated from Ferndale High school and earned degrees at West Washington State College & Lewis & Clark Univ. He was a teacher for 23 years in the Evergreen School District in Vancouver, WA, working the last 11 years at Wy East Jr. High. He is survived by his wife Mary; 3 children Frederick of Lewiston, ID, William and Ann Marie of the family home. His father, W. F. (Bud) Ensman, and step-mother, Dorothy Ensman; his brother Vince Ensman of Olympia; 3 sisters, Jean Krischano of Everett, Judy Sande of Deming, JoDee Tenney of Everett; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. His mother, Norma, predeceased him in 1985. Services will be held Tuesday, July 25th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdaline Catholic Church in Everett, WA, with interment at Cypress Lawn Cemetery. The family extends an invitation to all friends and students to attend a gathering of friends to celebrate Fred's life at the Vancouver Elks Club, Wednesday, July 26th at 2:30 p.m.

ENSMAN, Norma D., age 68, who resided at 5914 Olson Rd., Ferndale passed away in a local hospital Friday, August 24, (1984). Surviving is her husband Wilfred (Bud) Ensman; 2 sons, Fred in Vancouver, Vince in Olympia; 3 daughters, Jean Look-Krischono, Everett, Judy Sande, Maple Falls, JoDee Penney, Everett; sisters, Dorothy Willener, Kansas City, MI (sic), Josephine Saia of Kansas; 14 grandchildren. ENSMAN, Wilfred F. "Bud" - Rosary will be said for former Mobil Oil Corp. employee W. F. "Bud" Ensman at 7:30 p.m. today at the Chapel of Purdy & Walters at Cassidy Funeral Home in Everett. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Everett. Burial will follow at Cypress Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be today until 7:30 p.m. Mr. Ensman, 74, who has lived at 1924 106th Place SE Everett, since 1986, died Friday (Aug. 4, 1989) at Providence Hospital in Everett. He was born Feb. 13, 1915, in Pittsburg, Kan. He married Dorothy Sweet in 1984 in Ferndale. His. first wife, Norma Ellen Ensman, died in 1984. His oldest son, Fred Ensman, died July 22. Mr. Ensman lived in Ferndale for 32 years, while he worked as a maintenance coordinator for Mobil. He retired in 1972, but continued to live at his farm on Olson Road until he and Dorothy moved to Everett three years ago. Mr. Ensman loved hunting, fishing and farming. He was a member of the Bellingham Elks Lodge No. 194 and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He also was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Ferndale and St. Mary Magdalen Church in Everett. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jean Look-Karischano and JoDee Penney, both of Everett, and Judy Sande of Maple Falls; one son, Vince Ensman of Olympia; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Elizabeth Bates of Independence, Kan., Marie Freisberg of Caney, Kan., Cecelia Waggoner of Pittsburg, Kan., Dorothy Louise Wickware of Irving, Texas, and Barbara Jean McClaskey of Girard, Kan.; two brothers, Edmond Ensman of Downey, Calif., and Leo Ensman of Emporia, Kan., and numerous nieces and nephews. ENSMINGER, George E., age 64 of 2257 Hawthorne Road, Ferndale, passed away Friday, September 24,1982 in a local hospital. He had been a Ferndale resident since 1954, a retired employee of the Mobil Oil Refinery and a WWII Army Veteran. ENSTROM, Jeannette Emily, 87, of 1509 E. Victor St. died Wednesday (Oct. 23, 1991) at Needham's Nursing Home, where she had lived for several years. Private family services will be held. She was born Jeannette Emily Hughes on Nov. 3, 1903, in St. Paul, Minn. A Bellingham resident for 60 years, she was a homemaker and member of the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship. She lived to dance and enjoyed caring for children. Her husband, Alfred Enstrom, died on Oct. 24, 1980. Survivors include her daughters, Betty Birman of Bellingham and Dolores E. LaFazio of Anchorage, Alaska; sons William R. Birchall of Bellingham, Harlan W. Birchall of Monroe and John T. Birchall of Culver City, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

ENSTROM, John, age 56 of 1460 Sunset Ave., Bellingham, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, (1970). Mr. Enstrom had been a resident of Whatcom County for 51 years, was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Local No. 247. He is survived by his wife, Johanna, 1 daughter, Carol, at home, 1 son, John B. Enstrom of the U.S. Army, Presidio, San Francisco; 1 granddaughter, several other relatives. ENTORF, Edgar D., age 64, Beach Star Route, passed away in a local hospital Friday, July 12, (1963). Mr. Entorf was a Resort Hotel Operator for ten years in Maupin, Oregon, before moving to Bellingham three years ago. He was a member of Orenomak Lodge No. 177, F & A.M., Multnomah, Oregon, and a member of Scottish Rite Bodies. Survivors are his widow, Maud M., at home; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Salisbury, Port Coquitlam, B.C.; Mrs. Phyllis Neighbors, New York; one granddaughter, Susan Salisbury, Port Coquitlam, B.C.; three brothers, Paul Entorf, Denton, Montana; Prof. Mark Entorf, Detroit, Mich.; and Carl Entorf of Apple Valley, Calif. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by officers of Ferndale Lodge No. 264 F.& A.M. Monday, July 15 at 3 p.m. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

ENTORF, Maud M., a retired restaurant and hotel owner, died Saturday (Oct. 10, 1987) at a local hospital. Mrs. Entorf, 96, of 2751 Haxton Way, was born Feb. 10, 1891 in Nebraska and lived in Whatcom County for the past 25 years. Survivors include her daughter, Roma Salisbury of Bellingham; one granddaughter, Susan MacKenzie of Langley, B.C.; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending with Westford Funeral Home.

ENZ, Jason Paul, age 12, who resided at 408 20th St., passed away at his residence Mon., May 27, 1985 after a 7 year battle with leukemia. He had lived most of his life in Vancouver, WA and attended Walnut Grove School and was a member of the North Central Soccer Club and Lake Shore Dairy 4-H Club. ENZIE, William H., 76, of Portland, OR and Green Valley, AZ died Thursday, May 22, 1997 in Portland of complications of Alzheimer's Disease. He was born January 1, 1921 in Long Beach, CA, to Christian William and Carrie Denton Enzie. Mr. Enzie was a veteran of World War II where he served in North Africa with the Army Air Corps. Following his military service he attended the University of California at Berkeley under the GI Bill and graduated with honors in February 1948. He spent his entire professional career with General Foods Corporation of White Plains, NY retiring in 1976 after 35 years. His initial position was as a Jr. Chemist for Birds Eye Division, Hillsboro, OR and he subsequently held several other positions including Director of Corporate Purchasing and Vice President of Purchasing for the Burger Chef Division. On February 7, 1948 Mr. Enzie married the former Nancy L. Newkirk in Corning, CA. In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by three children, Marilyn N. Enzie of Midland, MI; Joanne Enzie Omta (and husband Stephen R. Omta), of Bellingham, WA; and Richard W. Enzie (and wife Laurelle S. Steele) of Fair Oaks, CA; four grandchildren, Shawneen B. Parker and Jordon R. Enzie of Fair Oaks, CA, Lindsay D. Omta and Nicholas S. Omta of Bellingham, WA; one sister, Evelyn Enzie Casteel of Long Beach, CA; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Walter D. (Eleanor C.) Enzie of Dunedin, FL; Mrs. J. Vincent (Helen M.) Enzie of Las Cruces, NM, and Mrs. Frank D. (Helen S.) Enzie of Clearwater, FL; and mother-in-law, Marion F. Newkirk of Portland. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Walter D. Enzie, Dr. J. Vincent Enzie; and Dr. Frank D. Enzie. The body was cremated, in accordance with his wishes, and a private memorial service will be held by the family. Burial will be in Corning, CA.

EOFF, Kate D., age 77, of 3450 Valley Highway, No. 9, Deming, passed away in Bellingham, Wed., July 15, (1987). She was born August 18, 1909 in Loy, Arkansas. She has been a local resident for the last 21 years. She is survived by her husband Robert Eoff of Deming; 3 sons, Fred R. Eoff of Deming, James F. EPLER, Clara Noren, age 65 of 1154 Marine Dr. passed away at a local hospital Friday, January 3, (1954) following a short illness. Mrs. Epler had been a resident of Whatcom county for the past 31 years. She leaves to survive her husband Loren at home, one brother, John Erickson of Anacortes and one sister, Miss Bessie Erickson of Tacoma. EPRIGHT, Colleen Adel - A memorial service for Colleen Adel Epright of Ferndale will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Morelli officiating. Mrs. Epright died Monday, May 12, 1997. She was 58.
