CREAMER, Charlotte "Lottie", age 79, formerly a long-time resident of Mountain View, passed away in a local rest home Monday, June 2, (1958). Mrs. Creamer had resided in this community for the past 57 years and was a member of the Congregational Church. Surviving relatives are one son, John of Gig Harbor, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Willard Oates of Bellingham and Mrs. Evelyn Kizer of Miami, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Wolfe of Wichita, Kan., and one sister, Mrs. William Higgins of Long Beach, Calif. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where private services will be conducted by Dr. W. Carl Calhoun, Thursday, June 5, at 3 p.m. Cremation.

CREAMER, John, age 75, passed away suddenly at his home at Neptune Beach, Wednesday morning, July 6, (1949). He had been a resident of the Mountain View district for the past 48 years. Mr. Creamer had been an employe of the Whatcom County Dairymen's Association for 28 years, much of that time having been spent as a field representative. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two daughters, Mrs. Willard Oates, of Bellingham, and Mrs. Kenneth Kizer, of Palo Alto, California; and one son, John Jr., of Ashford, Washington. Also three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Monroe Mortuary in Ferndale, Saturday, July 9, with the Rev. W. Carl Calhoun officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

CREASEY, Anna, age 52 years, resident of Custer Route 1 for the past thirteen years, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, June 10, (1948) following a lingering illness. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Jordal, Bremerton, Mrs. Elizabeth Henly, Silverdale, B. C.; three brothers, John, Albert and Harry Dowling, all of New Westminster, B. C.; six nieces and two nephews; four great nieces, and four great nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Monroe Chapel in Ferndale Monday afternoon, June 14, at 1 p.m., standard time, with the Rev. Dennis DeVoe and the Custer Rebecca lodge officiating.

CREASEY, Cecil Clayton, age 50 years, a resident of Custer his entire life, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 27, (1945). Mr. Creasey is survived by the widow, Anna; one brother, Ralph, both of Custer, and step-mother, Mrs. Minnie Creasey, of Bellingham. Funeral services will be conducted from the Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale, Monday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Roy McCulloch officiating. Interment in Enterprise Cemetery.

CREASEY, Clayton L. - Services for Clayton L. Creasey, 44, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Moles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michele Campton officiating. Burial will be at Enterprise Cemetery. Mr. Creasey, of 2960 Creasey Road, Custer, died Monday (May 27, 1991) at the scene of an automobile accident on the Birch Bay-Lynden Road in Blaine. He was born April 4, 1947, in Bellingham to Ralph Clayton Creasey and Ruth Creasey of Custer. A lifetime Custer resident, Mr. Creasey was a 1965 graduate of Ferndale High School and was a member of the United Methodist Church and Custer Fire Department No. 13. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam war. Formerly a maintenance man for Versacold Cascade Cold Storage Inc. in Lynden, Mr. Creasey also was caretaker at the Haynie Cemetery. During the last 10 years of his life, he cared for the elderly in the Custer area. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. Survivors include his son, Clayton Willie Creasey, stationed in the U. S. Navy in San Diego, Calif.; his daughter, Richelle Marie Creasey of Custer; his parents, Ralph Clayton Creasy and Ruth Creasey of Custer; his brothers, Gary L. Creasey, Carl E. Creasey, Bill Creasey, and his twin, Charles S. Creasy, all of Custer; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Arrangements are by Moles Funeral Home.

CREASEY, Gary Lee, age 46, 2950 Creasey Road, Custer, passed away in Bellingham Tues. Oct. 22, 1991. He was born on Nov. 17, 1944 in Spokane, WA to R. Clayton and Ruth Creasey and was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He was a member of the Custer United Methodist Church. During the Vietnam war he served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife Sandy, daughter Candice McPhadan of Bellingham, sons Loren and Shawn Creasey of Bellingham and Gary Lee Creasey of Oak Harbor, granddaughters Rachel, Stephanie and Angel and a grandson Justin, his parents Clayton and Ruth Creasey of Custer, brothers Charles S. Creasey and Bill Creasey and wife Pam all of Custer, numerous nieces, nephews, gt. nieces, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 10:00 a.m. at Moles Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michele Campton officiating. Burial will follow at Enterprise Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Albert J. Hamilton Post #7, Peace Arch Post #86 and V.F.W. #9474.

CREASEY, Minnie B., age 86, of 2610 Eldridge avenue, passed away Sunday, December 24, (1950) in Bellingham following a lingering illness. She was born in Minnesota and had been a resident of the Ferndale and Custer districts since 1900; also was a member of the Christian Alliance Church in Bellingham. Surviving relatives include one brother, George Baker, in Minnesota; three nieces, Belle Ferguson, and Hazel Always, both of Bellingham, and Mrs. Edith Baker, of Eugene, Ore.; one nephew, Everett Baker, in Saskatchewan, Canada. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 27, at 2 p.m. in the Monroe Chapel in Ferndale, with the Rev. O. A. Quall, of Arlington, officiating. Interment, Enterprise Cemetery.

CREASEY, Nettie E., age 88, of 2906 Creasey Rd., Custer, passed away Feb. 5, 1990 in Bellingham. She was born March 10, 1901 in Anacortes, WA and was a Whatcom County resident most of her life. She was a member of the Cardinal Rebekah Lodge No. 154, I.O.O.F., attended Custer United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Creasey in March of 1953, a daughter Wilma Olds in June of 1977, and a brother Delmer Dodds in 1968. She is survived by a daughter Frances L. Martin & husband Andy of McMinnville, OR; sons Clayton Creasey & wife Ruth, Jake Creasey & wife Jo Anne, all of Custer and Walter R. Creasey & wife Darlene of Ferndale; 21 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephew & other relatives including Orpha Sue Kellogg of Great Falls, MT. CREASEY, William Ralph, age 56 years, of Route 1, Custer, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 31, (1953) at his home. Mr. Creasey was a lifetime resident of the Custer community. He is survived by his wife, Nettie; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Olds, of Orting, Wash., and Mrs. Frances Martin, of Grand Rond, Ore.; three sons, Clayton and Walter, of Custer, and Jake, of Bellingham, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Custer Methodist Church Saturday, April 4, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Roddey officiating. Interment, Enterprise Cemetery, under direction of the Monroe Funeral Home in Ferndale.

CREED, Ella May, 87, of Bellingham, passed away following a brief illness on Friday, April 16, 2004 at Alderwood Park Convalescent Center. She was born December 16, 1916 in Gravesend, Kent, England to John and Florence (Smith) Tillman. Ella married Robert M. Creed in Gravesend December 19, 1936. He preceded her in death February 23, 2003. She is survived by two sons: Kenneth R. Creed and wife June of Pasco, WA and Robert M. Creed Jr. and wife Andrea of Hat Island, WA. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, including Christine Krell of Bellingham, and 10 great-grandchildren; plus nieces, nephews and good friends in England and British Columbia, Canada. Ella and Bob immigrated to British Columbia following WWII with their sons and then to the U.S. in 1963, where they lived in Bellevue, Oak Harbor and Bellingham. During WWII, while her husband served in the British Navy, Ella worked as a conductress in the English bus system. She was a professional cook and household supervisor; beginning her career at 15 in households in Kent, England. Bob and Ella owned their own small café in B.C. where fish and chips were the specialty. Upon immigrating to the U.S. she was head of the household staff for the Boeing family. She continued her career in the hotel and service industry until retirement in 1980. Retirement was spent traveling and settling into their home overlooking Penn Cove on Whidbey Island. The last few years were spent at Merrill Gardens in Bellingham where Ella made many friends and enjoyed Bingo and was lovingly assisted by their staff. Finally, she moved to Alderwood where their caring attentive staff made her remaining days happy and comfortable. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 25th at 4 p.m. at the Community Room at Merrill Gardens at Cordata, in Bellingham.

CREEGAN, James Vincent, died Sept. 14, 2002 in the battle with cancer at his home in Acme, Washington. He was born March 13, 1931 in Portland, OR to Matt and Mary Creegan of Ireland and Portland, OR. He attended Holy Rosary Grade School, Columbia Prep and the University of Portland. He served as a pilot and Captain in the Marine Corp. Upon leaving the Corp, he worked in the Pacific Northwest for the Cold Storage Industry as a specialist and top salesman for thirty years. During these years, he had great delight in belonging to the Portland Rose City Rainmakers. He loved lively conversations, singing, playing the piano and reading everything he could. For several years, he was the morning talk show host for radio Station KKEY in Portland, OR. He most recently worked for the Acme General Store where he made many friends. He was devoted to the promotion of Irish culture and the traditions of Irish Dance. He also enjoyed building the dance floors for Irish Dance competitions and championships in the Pacific Northwest. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn and their daughter, Marie, who attends the University of Portland his older children, Terry Creegan of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, Catherine Mary England and Laura Elizabeth Webster of Spanaway, Washington six grandchildren, Mathew and Michael Creegan, Michele England-Warson, Mathew Donald England, Katie and Patrick Webster one great grandchild, Kansas Alyssa Warson. A Memorial Service will be held 12 noon Saturday, September 28, 2002, in the Acme Presbyterian Church. And a Memorial Mass of Christ the Teacher will be held in October at the University of Portland. His life touched the hearts of many people and we will all miss him. In his word, "May the Good Lord take an likin' to you, but not too soon" and "May God hold you in the hollow of his hand". CREEK, Billy Eugene, Jr. - A graveside service for Billy Eugene Creek Jr. of Ferndale will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenacres Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Erickson officiating. Mr. Creek died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at Harborview Hospital in Seattle. He was 42. Born May 7, 1957, to Billy and Mary (Baker) Creek Sr. in Fairfield, Calif., he had been a Whatcom County resident since 1970. In 1987, he married Deanna Stanford in Bellingham. Mr. Creek was a construction worker. He enjoyed fishing, scuba diving and hiking. His mother preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, of Clarkston; daughter Jennifer Creek of Clarkston; stepdaughters Nicole and Shannon Patches of Clarkston; father and step-mother Bill and Eleanor Creek Sr. of Bellingham; sisters Sandy Pilkey and Linda Creek, both of Bellingham; three nephews; and many other relatives.

CREEK, Clyde B., age 83, 370 So. Forest Street, passed away Sunday, August 16, (1964). A sixty-five year resident of this City, Mr. Creek was President of the Model Truck and Storage Co. until his retirement in 1954. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club; the 20th Century Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. Survivors are his widow, Cora A., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Schuyler Springer, Pueblo, Colo.; Mrs. John Witt, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Nina McCutcheon, Pueblo, Colo., and nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted by Capt. Jack Brown Tuesday, August 18 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Greenacres Memorial Park.

CREEK, Lillian C., 81, of 286 B St., Blaine passed away Mon. Nov. 18, (1985) in Bellingham. She was born in North Carolina April 17, 1904, a resident of Whatcom County since 1943. She leaves to survive 1 son, James B. Creek of Seattle; 1 daughter, Florence M. Cook & husband Ron of Mount Lake Terrace; 2 grandchildren. CREEK, Mary D., of 2618 Utter St. died Friday, Nov. 20, 1992, at a local care center. She was 63. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenacres Funeral Home 5700 Northwest Road in Ferndale. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Bible Church, 2000 W. North St. The Rev. David Erickson will officiate. Born Mary baker on May 22, 1929 in Chillicothe, Mo., to Floyd and Ethel Horton Baker, she married Billy E. Creek in Elco, Nev., on Nov. 20, 1951. She was a homemaker, and had lived in Whatcom County the past 22 years. Survivors include her husband Billy, at the family home; son Billy Creek Jr. of Bellingham; daughters, Linda Creek of Alturas, Calif., and Sandy Pilkey of Bellingham; a sister, Geraldine Boude of Big Springs, Texas, and four grandchildren. Burial is at Greenacres Memorial Park.

CREEK, Matella H., age 81, passed away Wednesday, February 15, (1967). Mrs. Creek had resided in Bellingham for many years and leaves to survive 1 son, Lee Creek of Kansas City, Missouri, 1 granddaughter, several nieces and nephews including Robert Leitch and Lloyd McGowan both City, George Hicks of Ferndale and Mrs. Alma English of Seattle, Mrs. Mona McDonald and Floyd Bradshaw, both of Chilliwack. CREEL, John David, 54, a Western Washington University graduate long associated with the Portland, Ore., school system, died Saturday (July 7, 1984). He was born in Ryderwood and joined the Portland system after graduating from WWU. Surviving are his wife, Varryl Scott Creel, formerly of Bellingham; a brother and a sister. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.

CREGG, James A., age 67, a long time resident of the Clipper community, died in a Sedro Woolley convalescent home on Tuesday (June 9, 1987). He was born at Clipper, June 20, 1919, the son of John & Mary Cregg. He was employed in the logging industry & was a veteran of the military service in WWII. He is survived by 1 brother, John of Alaska; several nieces, nephews & cousins including Leo Sygitowicz of Clipper. Burial services will be in the Clipper Cemetery, Fri., June 12, at 2 p.m. Under the direction of the Lemley Funeral Chapel.

CREIGHTON, Maretta M., age 88, passed away in a Seattle hospital, Monday, May 2, (1960) following an extended illness. Mrs. Creighton had been a resident of Whatcom County most of the time for the past 70 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Kent and was an honorary member of Goshen Grange. Survivors include two sons, F. W. Creighton of Redondo, Wash., and Robert L. Creighton of Goshen Road; one daughter, Mrs. Daisey Campbell of Puyallup; 19 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren. CREIGHTON, Robert L., age 56, of 2370 Goshen Rd., passed away in a local hospital Saturday, Nov. 30, (1963). Mr. Creighton had been a life resident of this community; had for the past 19 years been an ice cream maker for the W.C.D.A. and was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Surviving relatives are his widow, Gladys, at home; one son, John W. of Pacifica, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Bud Smit of Lynden; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lorn Campbell of Elma, Wash., and one brother, Francis W., of Redondo, Wash; also many nieces and nephews. CREIM, Marjorie May of Lynden died Dec. 20, 1997, at St. Francis Extended Health Care. She was 73. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Greene's Funeral Home Sunset Hills Chapel in Bellevue. Born July 13, 1924, to Roy and Gertrude Streeter Andersen in San Francisco, she married Donald Creim Sept. 25, 1945. Mrs. Creim moved to Lynden from Bellevue last year. She worked as a sales clerk in the clothing industry. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, cooking and traveling in the Far East, Alaska, Panama and Mexico. She won many golfing awards. Survivors include her husband of the family home; daughters Joanne Champagne of Madisonville, La., Stephanie Bailie of Haiku, Hawaii, and Robert Creim of Blaine; son Jeffrey Creim of West Richland; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. CREMER, Bernard - Funeral services for the Rev. Bernard Cremer will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Seattle. Father Cremer, 76, a former pastor of Assumption Church in Bellingham, died Friday, (Oct. 25, 1974). He served in the Army Chaplain Corps during World War II and in several other Puget Sound churches before going to St. Anne's in 1960. He retired two years ago. He is survived by two sisters living in Delaware.

CREMEENS, Herschel O., age 87, of 205 S. B. C. Ave., Lynden, passed away Wed., Oct. 31, 1979. A resident of this community for the past 7 years, he was a member of BPO Elks, American Legion and FOE, all in Nebraska. CRESS, Alverta M., age 77 years, of Route 1, Ferndale, passed away Friday July 3, (1953), at a local hospital following a brief illness. Miss Cress had been a resident of Ferndale for the past 28 years and for 14 years was a teacher in the Ferndale schools. She was a member of the Custer Methodist Church and the Delta Kappa Gamma. Miss Cress is survived by one cousin, Miss Marie Benner, of Gettysburg, Penn. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at the Custer Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Roddey officiating. Interment Wednesday, July 8, in Tacoma Cemetery, under direction of the Monroe Funeral Home of Ferndale.

CRESS, Anna, age 74, of 2972 Henderson Rd., Bellingham, passed away Sat. Feb. 14th, (1976). A resident of this community for the past 57 years. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church, Rome Grange, and Mt. Baker Garden Club. Surviving numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wed. CRESS, Clara F., a 70-year Whatcom County resident, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1992, in a Bellingham care center. She was 93. She was born July 12, 1899, to George and Mary Gwinner in Macon, Mo. She married David Cress in Kirksville, Mo., in 1921. He died in 1978. She and her husband moved to Whatcom County in 1922. They farmed on the Henderson Road near Bellingham, where her son and family live today. She was a member of Garden Street United Methodist Church and was a 70-year member of Rome Grange. Survivors include: son Dean Cress of Bellingham; two grandsons, David and Daniel Cress of Seattle; three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson; sister Ida Allen of Bellingham; and brother Fred Gwinner of Lynden. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. Burial will be at Greenacres Memorial Park.

CRESS, David, age 91, formerly of 3013 Henderson Rd., B'ham, passed away Monday, June 12, 1978, following a long illness. Mr. Cress was born in Colorado, came to Washington at the age of 17 and was a miner working at the Lone Jack and Red Mountain Gold Mine. He was the last charter member of Rome Grange and was a member of Garden Street Methodist Church. Surviving his wife, Clara; a son, Dean of Seattle; 2 sisters, Alice Colling of B'ham and Kathryn Woods of Seattle; 2 grandsons, David and Daniel. Services will be Friday, June 16 at 2 p.m. in Veroske's Bellingham Chapel with Rev. Julia Brand officiating, burial will follow at Greenacres Memorial Park.

CRESS, Elaine A., 53, of 3013 Henderson Road, Bellingham, passed away Jan. 31, 1994 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She was born Feb. 24, 1940 in Yakima to Cecil and Erma (Rogers) Hachman. She married dean Cress on Dec. 19, 1959 in Bellingham. He survives her at the family farm. Elaine is also survived by two sons: David and wife Jo-Ann of Seattle and Dan and wife Juanita of Seattle; brother Frank Hachman and wife Margaret of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. A funeral service was held Friday at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert L. Drew officiating and interment at Greenacres Memorial Park.

CREW, Eldon Willard, age 37 of 2426 Williams St., passed away Monday, April 3, 1978. A life time resident of this community he was employed as a dental lab technician and a member of Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Florence Rowe at home, 1 sister, Marion Crew at home, also a very dear friend, Diane Peters, City and numerous other relatives. Graveside service Wed. CREWS, Alberta, of 2217 A St., passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, June 3, (1958). Miss Crews was a retired telephone company employee, and was a member of the Garden St. Methodist Church. Surviving relatives are three sisters, Mrs. L. I. Miller of Seattle, Mrs. W. R. Thorpe of Vancouver, B. C., and Mrs. J. L. Tarte of Oakland, Calif., also many nieces and nephews including Mrs. Kathryn Sutherland of Seattle and Jack Crews of Bellingham. CREWS, Jack H., 72, of 514 S. State St. died Thursday (Mar. 17, 1988) in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1915, in Bellingham and had lived here all his life. Mr. Crews was a retired carpet store owner. He was a member of the Bellingham Yacht Club, Bellingham Golf and Country Club, Elks Club, Congregational Church, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Doreen, of the family home; one son John Crews of Sun Valley, Idaho; a daughter, Barbara Crews of Edmonds. At his request there will be no services. Arrangements are by Westford Funeral Home.

CRICHFIELD-CARON, Richard E., formerly of Bellingham, died Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, in Glendale, Ariz. He was 61. Services will be held in Phoenix with burial in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Born April 8, 1936, in Bellingham, Mr. Crichfield-Caron served in the U.S. Navy and achieved the rank of sergeant. He retired after 23 years with the Department of Public Safety in Arizona and was a member of the Masonic Lodgee. Survivors include his wife, Judith Crichfield-Caron, daughters Susan Caron and Jessica Crichfield, sons Zachary Crichfield-Caron and Jonathan Crichfield-Caron and sister Glee Cooley.

CRICK, Paul O., age 74 of Camano Island died Sun. Feb. 26, 1989 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 21, 1914 in Bellingham, was a graduate of Mt. Baker High School & had served in the U. S. Army in World War II. Mr. Crick had spent most of his life as a logger & truck driver. CRIM, Ardeth Lorraine "Pete" of Bellingham died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997. She was 83. A private service will be held. Born June 28, 1913, to Fred and Hilma Fosdick in Tacoma, she married Richard Crim on Sept. 23, 1933. They moved to Bellingham in 1948. Mrs. Crim worked for Bon Marche for many years. She enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her husband of the family home, daughters Sandra Needham of Bellingham and Cathy Smith of Cosmopolis, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. CRIMMINS, Grace Lois, age 86, of 306 South Garden St., passed away at home Friday, Jan. 13, (1956). Mrs. Crimmins had been a resident of this community the past 67 years, was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, member of Retired Teachers Association, and had worked for 17 years with her husband, the late J. G. Crimmins in the Edens Hall kitchen. Surviving relatives include two sons, George J. Crimmins of Detroit, Mich. and Philip C. CRIMMINS, James George, age 77 years, of 306 S. Garden Street, passed away at a local hospital Monday morning, April 1, (1946). Mr. Crimmins had been a resident of this community for the past fifty-five years and was an elder in the St. James Presbyterian Church. CRISWELL, Pearl May - Funeral services in memory of Pearl M. Criswell will be held Saturday, March 30, 1991 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Burley Funeral Home, Pastor Jim Cargill of the Lighthouse Christian Center will officiate. Cremation was held with private family interment to follow. Pearl May Criswell was born February 19, 1928 in Bellingham, Washington to Henry and Virgie Jorgenson. She passed away on March 20, 1991 at the age of 63, at Virginia Mason Hospital, Seattle, following a brief illness. Mrs. Criswell moved to Whidbey Island with her family in 1966 when her husband served in the U. S. Navy. She retired from Civil Service at NAS Whidbey in 1983 after serving nearly 20 years. Most recently Pearl worked as manager of the Island Thrift in Oak Harbor. She was a member of several organizations, including the Humane Society. She had a deep love of animals. She was a member of the Animal Protection Institute of America, the Doris Day Animal League, the Sierra Club, the National Humane Education Society, the Humane Society of the United States and NARFE. She was also a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Oak Harbor. Mrs. Criswell is survived by two children, Terry K. Bossow of Oak Harbor and Christopher M. Criswell of Coupeville; 2 sisters, Doris Cole of Lynden, WA and Marybell Hetrick of Bellingham; 2 brothers, Victor Jorgenson of Nebraska, and Frank Jorgenson of Seattle and 3 grandchildren, Chris and Randy Criswell of Coupeville and Holly Bossow of Oak Harbor. CRITCHLOW, Edgar Manuel, age 75, formerly of 2719 Birchwood Ave., passed away Friday, June 24, (1966). Mr. Critchlow had been a fifty-four year resident of this community, and was a retired real estate salesman. He was a member of the Bellingham Lodge No. 194, BPOE, and Bellingham Yacht Club. CROCKER, Donald W., 182 Sound View Road, Bellingham, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, June 2, 1994 at the age of 81. Funeral services were conducted on Monday in Immanuel Bible Church, Bellingham with Rev. Dave Erickson officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard on Tuesday. The son of George and Hattie (Reeves) Crocker, Don was born in Harvard, Idaho on March 4, 1913. After receiving his general education diploma, he served for 10 years in the Navy. Following his Navy service, he was employed at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton for 30 years. On May 2, 1942 he was married to Mary Louise Shrum. Following her death in 1984 he was married to Pearl Kragt on July 27, 1985 in Bellingham, where he has resided since that time. Following his retirement he graduated from a Lutheran seminary in Tacoma and traveled extensively throughout the world. He was also a member of Immanuel Bible Church. He is survived by his wife Pearl of the family home; son William Crocker of Federal Way; two daughters, Sheila Crocker of Seattle and Kathleen and husband Jerry Sanford of Kent; five grandchildren; Pearl's children, Kenneth Kragt and wife Ninta of Renton, Edwin Kragt and wife Dixie of Redmond and Virginia and husband Wayne Jones of Lynden; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also preceded by three brothers and and three sisters. Services were under the care of Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.

CROCKER, Maurice W., 82, 1200 Lincoln St., died Thursday in a local nursing home. Mr. Crocker was born Nov. 10, 1904, in Pine Lake, Alberta. He was a local resident for the past 50 years. He was a retired auto dealer and life member of Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 194. Survivors include his wife, Vivienne A. Crocker of the family home; a son, Bill Crocker of Birch Bay; two daughters, Christa Hansen of Bellingham and Judith Hentz of Kirkland; a sister, Louise Thompson, of Bellingham; and four grandchildren. CROFT, Clinton L., age 52 of 182 "C" St., Blaine, passed away at home, Tuesday June 15th, (1976). He had been a lifetime resident of Whatcom County and had made his home in Lynden prior to moving to Blaine in 1945. He served with the U. S. Army in WWII and was a Custom Broker for the C. F. Leibert & Co. of Blaine. Mr. Croft was the past president of the Bellingham Lions Club and was past commander of the American Legion Post No. 86 of Blaine and he was active in many civic organizations. Surviving are his wife, Shirley at home; two daughters, Cynthia Freeman of Blaine and Deborah Easterby of Capitola, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Ada Croft of Blaine; two brothers Paul and Dean both of Blaine and a sister, Thelma Moore of Wrangell, Alaska; also 3 grandchildren and several aunts and uncles. CROFT, Leonard P., age 67, of Blaine, passed away (June 24, 1963) in a Vancouver, B. C., hospital following a 7-week illness. He had been a resident of Whatcom County since 1929 and had made his home in Lynden prior to moving to Blaine in 1942. He was a member of the Moline Kansas Lodge No. 267, AF&AM. CROFT, Leonard "Paul" 65, of Blaine passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 1995 at his home. Mr. Croft was born Dec. 3, 1929 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Leonard P. and Ada Hupfer Croft and has been a local resident since 1941. He has been a commercial fisherman for 50 years and fished on the purse seiner 5C's. He loved to hunt and sport fish and do woodworking in his shop. CROGHAN, Jack Warren, Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. Crogham (sic) Sr., of Mount Vernon, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, Dec. 22, (1954). Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Mark; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Crogham of Lynden, maternal grandfather, Colonel Robert O. Stone, with U. S. Army in Japan. Private graveside services were conducted Thursday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. in Greenacres Memorial Park with the Rev. W. Robert Webb officiating, under direction of the Westford Funeral Home.

CROGHAN, William Carroll, 86, a longtime Lynden resident, died Jan. 6, 1991. Born in Sheridan, Wyo., on Sept. 20, 1904, he was a farmer, lumberjack and coal miner. He also worked for the Van Zanten Nursery in Lynden. He lived in Washington until recently moving to California. He was married to the late Bessie Hamilton Croghan for 63 years. He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy June McDonald and husband Roy; a son, Jack Croghan and wife Jan; a sister, Annie Marsh; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

CROMBIE, James McLachlan, age 71 years, passed away at the Salvation Army Hall, Monday evening, March 11, (1946). CROMPTON, Robert E., age 76, of 8720 Highway 21, Bremerton, passed away in that city Tuesday, May 14, (1963). CRONIN, John B., of Bellingham died Monday, April 5,1993, in Bellingham. He was 72. A private family service will be held. He was born April 9, 1920, in Zaalandia, Saskatchewan, to John and Marie Cronin. He moved to Bellingham in 1977, where he owned and operated an auto body repair shop. CRONKHITE, Vicki A. – A memorial service for Vicki Ann Cronkhite of Bellingham will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God Church in Ferndale. Miss Cronkhite died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was 53. Born Feb 20, 1947 to Philip and Phyllis Cronkhite in Everett, she moved to Bellingham when she was 1 year old and lived here the rest of her life. Miss Cronkhite worked as a cosmetologist for 30 years and most recently operated her own station at Hair Panache. Miss Cronkhite was an active member of Assembly of God Church of Ferndale and was a born-again Christian. Her father died previously. Survivors include her mother and sister Cyndy Cronkhite, both of Cambridgeshire, England; brother Steve Cronkhite of Bellingham; three nieces; and four great-nieces. CRONKRITE, Katie, age 76, of Anacortes, passed away in a local hospital, Tuesday, December 9, (1947). Mrs. Cronkrite had been a resident of this community for the past ten months and was a member of the Washington Pension Union. Surviving relatives are one son, Charles, of Anacortes; one daughter, Miss Lila Cronkrite, of Alhambra, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Juanita Ellis, of Auburn, Mrs. Erstelle Lauderdale and Mrs. Inez Dunlap, both of Seattle, and Mrs. Pearl Pye, of Alhambra, Calif. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, under whose direction services will be conducted from the Jackson Funeral Home at Anacortes, Friday, December 12, at 1:30 p.m. Cremation.

CROOK, Cal – A memorial service for Cal Crook of Hood River, Ore., formerly of Bellingham, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Husum Fire Hall in Husum, Wash., with his son the Rev. David Crook of Fountain Community Church of Bellingham officiating. Mr. Crook died of complications caused by cancer on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000 in Hood River. He was 95. Born Dec. 25, 1904 to Newton and Maude (Burlingame) Crook in Zillah, he grew up in central Washington. Mr. Crook graduated from Ellensburg High School and Normal School (later Central Washington College of Education) in Ellensburg, where he majored in physical education and science. Following graduation, he served as an elementary school principal and high school coach and later earned a master's degree in education with a minor in physical education from the University of Washington. He continued his post-graduate studies at the University of Hawaii. In 1931, he moved to Bellingham where he taught science at Whatcom Junior High School and served as Parkview Elementary School's first principal. He also served as principal for Washington Elementary and Sunnyland elementary schools. While working for the Bellingham School District, he helped create and direct the district's first audio-visual program. In 1960, he moved to Eastern Washington to teach. Mr. Crook married Ethel Boynton. They later divorced. During his summer vacations he traveled the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Cuba, camping whenever possible. After his retirement as an educator, he moved to B-Z Corner in Oregon, where he worked for SDS Lumber for 20 years before retiring in 1990. In 1995, he was hospitalized with congestive heart failure. He later moved to Hood River Care Center. A well-known Columbia Gorge photographer, one of his best-selling pictures was a shot of Celilo Falls when it became submerged by the waters of The Dalles Dam. He donated a collection of his photography to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, for which he won many trophies. He later devoted his time to photography. Four brothers and one sister died previously. Survivors include his son of Bellingham; daughters Jan Pierson of Olympia, Carolyn Downing of Eureka, Calif., and Judy Vorfeld of Phoenix, Ariz.; ex-wife Ethel Crook of Bellingham; 10 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are with Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon.

CROOME, Katherine Isabelle, age 76, of Seattle, passed away in that city Sunday, April 23, (1950) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Croome had been a resident of Bellingham until 1942. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America in Bellingham, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving relatives include two sons, John, of Seattle, and Robert of Belvue (sic); a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Bloch of Seattle; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Benjamin of Bellingham, Mrs. Josie Tierney of Seattle, and Mrs. Anna Chase of Winslow, Ariz. CROSE, William Leonard, 69, passed away July 21, 1992 to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Leonard was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 12/25/22, an accounting graduate to the Univ. of Southern California, he worked as a accountant for Aramco Oil Company in Dhahran, Saudia Arabia from 1949 to 1965, married his beloved wife, Betty, in Beirut, Lebanon, the year 1951. The family moved to Yakima, WA in 1965. He retired from the position of Finance Director for Yakima County in 1983. Hence, he and his wife took retirement in Bellingham. He was a board member for the Firs and was involved with the Geneva Community Church Fellowship. Leonard will be remembered as a husband, father, and grandfather with an uncompromising love, disciplined morals, forgiving spirit and refreshing humor. He is survived by his blessed wife M. CROSIER, Elmer J., age 72 years, a pioneer of the Lynden district, passed away at his home in Marysville, Tuesday, October 30, (1945) following a long illness. CROSS, Floyd C. - Funeral services for Mr. Floyd C. Cross, age 75, 8611 Depot Rd., Lynden, will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Gillies Funeral Home, with Bishop Merlon Alcorn officiating. Cremation will follow. Mr. Cross, who died in Bellingham on Monday, Dec. 16, (1985), was born in Ontario, Ore. on August 14, 1910, and moved to Lynden from Salem, Ore. in 1979. Mr. Cross served in the U.S. Army prior to World War II, was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day saints Second Ward of Ferndale and had also been active in the Lynden Senior Activity Center. He was married to his wife, Leona, in Oregon on Jan. 19, 1947. He is survived by his wife, Leona; six daughters, Mrs. Mary and husband John Mallow of Lynden, Mrs. Donna Webb of Nissa, Ore., Mrs. Joan Bailey of Auburn, Mrs. Jean Loftis of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Linda Corbett of Kirkland, and Mrs. Joan Silence of Portland, Ore.; four sons, Chester L. Cross of Kellogg, Idaho, Floyd C. Mr. Cross had been a resident of this community for the past 57 years and for much of that time was the operator of the Cross-Ryther Shingle Mill at Ferndale. CROSSAN, William "Bill" age 73, of Bellingham, passed away Sat. Jan. 10, 1998 at an Adult Care Facility in Bellingham. He was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Britton, South Dakota, to Lawrence C. and Eunice (Shepard) Crossan and had been a Whatcom County resident for 43 years. Mr. Crossan retired from the City of Bellingham after 20 years of employment, where he worked in the Maintenance Dept. as a Street Sweeper. Bill served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Wm. Matthews Post #1585, V.F.W. of Bellingham. CROSSIN, William Lee, age 73 years, of Blaine, passed away Sunday, April 28, (1957), at a local hospital following a lingering illness. CROSSLIN, Dianne Louise passed away from natural causes on July 5, 2007. She was 57 years old. Dianne was born in Bellingham January 7, 1950. She was raised in Bellingham, and was a member of the first graduating class from Sehome High School in 1968. Dianne attended WWU where she earned a degree in elementary education. She taught first grade at Mt. View Elementary for 33 years until her celebrated retirement only a week before her death. Teaching was her passion, and she kept in contact with students she taught over the years. In June she was honored with the Golden Apple Teaching Award, a fitting tribute to her dedication to educating our youth. She took great pride in being part of shaping kids lives. Dianne was so proud that her daughter Carly is following in her footsteps and begins teaching in the Ferndale School District this fall. Dianne led a full, eventful life. Because she was a teacher, summer break was her leisure time. She enjoyed camping at the family property on the Nooksack River, and spent her last days there at a Fourth of July celebration where she laughed and played with the people closest to her. Dianne spent every August at her favorite retreat – the family cabin at Shuswap Lake in British Columbia, Canada. She spent summers there since childhood, and it made her happy to share this special place with her family and closest friends. Dianne was known to be compassionate, and loved people unconditionally. She was a strong, humorous and open-minded woman whose greatest joy was her family, friends and career. She is survived by her husband, Jack Crosslin, her four daughters – Carly Crosslin, Kaycee Crosslin, stepdaughters Cathy Crosslin and Kelly Frere (husband Chris), her mother – Velma Whitney Swartwood, her siblings, Larry Buatte (wife Lindsay), twin brother Douglas Buatte (wife Rita), niece Ashley, grandniece Lucy, nephew Ben. Other family members include Joy Bennett, Ron, Kathy, Julie and Curtis Buatte. She was blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Bailee and Brooks Frere. A private service for family is planned. A public celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, July 19 at Mt. View Elementary School.

CROSSLIN, Edward Duane, of 409 York St. died Thursday, Jan. 27, 1994, in Bellingham. He was 68. At his request no services will be held. Cremation with burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Born Oct. 4, 1925, to Sidney and Gladys Crosslin in Bellingham, he was a Bellingham resident all his life. A U.S. Army veteran from World War II, he was a member of Albert J. Hamilton American Legion Post No. 7 and Disabled American Veterans. He also was a member of Moose Lodge No. 493 and of 40 et 8, Local 112. Survivors include brother Jack Crosslin of Bellingham; sister Carol Ann Forsyth, also of Bellingham; special cousin Gail Stanley Koker of Bellingham; and other cousins. CROSSLIN, Evelyn I. – A memorial service for Evelyn I. (Knudson) Crosslin of Bellingham will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Westford Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Brents officiating. A reception will follow at 205 Parkridge Road. Mrs. Crosslin died Friday, May 12, 2000 at her home. She was 75. Born Feb. 17, 1925 to Waldeman and Gertrude (Richmond) Knudson in Leavenworth, she attended Sunnyside Elementary and graduated from Mount Baker High School in 1942. On Aug. 27, 1943, she married Jack Crosslin Sr. in Bellingham. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sports, gardening and reading. Survivors include her husband of 56 years of the family home; son Jack Crosslin Jr. of Bellingham; brother Ray Knudson of Union City, Calif.; four grandchildren; one great- grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

CROUCH, James V., age 67, passed away in Island Hospital, Friday, Aug. 17, 1978. He was born in Anacortes, June 3, 1911. Received his schooling in Anacortes. Married Rose Kingston in Anacortes, June 3, 1949. Worked for the Scott Paper Co. for 27 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 249 of Anacortes, Fidalgo Lodge No. 77 F&AM of Anacortes. He is survived by his wife, Rose at home; 1 daughter, Mrs. Ray (Joan) Nelson of Anacortes; 4 grandchildren. CROUDER, Lyle Ira, age 67 of National City, California, passed away Feb. 14, (1978). Was born and raised in Bellingham and was a retired Navy chief. Survived by his wife Lucille of National City. 1 brother Ernest Crouder of Forest Grove, Oregon. 2 sisters Luella Smith of Centralia, Wa. and Noreen Platt of Bellingham and Aunt Elsie McWilliam. His remains belong to the Neptune Society of San Diego to be cremated and his ashes will be put out to sea.

CROUT, Clarence Franklin, age 76, of 2717 Lafayette Street, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, April 15, (1952). Mr. Crout had resided here for the past 13 years and was a retired grocer, having been the owner of Crout's grocery in Anacortes for 36 years. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Anacortes, and the I.O.O.F. here. CROWLEY, Jeremiah J., age 74, of 1015 Indian St., passed away in a local hospital Friday, July 11, (1952). Mr. Crowley had resided in this community for the last 40 years and was a retired logger. He leaves to survive one nephew, John Kearney in Lexington, Kentucky. Services will be conducted from the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth by the Rev. Leonard R. White Monday, July 14, at 3:00 p.m. Final resting place Bay View.

CROWLEY, Maybell L., age 96, passed away Fri., Aug. 29, 1986 in Bellingham. Private funeral services were held. Arrangements by Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel.

CROWLEY, Orin J., age 71, of 1643 Chuckanut Pt. Rd. passed away in a local hospital Thursday, Feb. 8, (1962). Mr. Crowley had been a 33-year resident of this community and for many years had operated the Shoe Dept. of Wahl's Store. From 1951 to 1955 he had the Shoe Dept. in Gage's. Mr. Crowley was a member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44, F.&A.M.; a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and Nile Temple of Shrine, and was also a member of Sehome Chapter No. 17, O.E.S. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7, American Legion, and leaves to survive his widow, Mae, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Pierce and three grandchildren, all of Bellingham; two brothers, Dewey J. of Vancouver, Wash., and William Crowley of Seaside, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Albert F. Albertson and Mrs. Josephine Meridian, both of Vancouver, Wash. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Irwin and officers of the Rose Croix of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Monday, Feb. 12, at 10:30. Followed by cremation.

CROY, Donald C., age 57, of Toutle, Wash., passed away in Longview Tuesday, Dec. 23, (1952). Mr. Croy was born July 6, 1895, at St. Louis, Mo., and moved to Blaine with his parents in 1897. He attended grade school in Blaine, Whatcom High School and was graduated from the Bellingham Normal School in 1915. He was principal of Maplewood school in Puyallup for 21 years and taught high school there for two years. He had been superintendent of Toutle Lake High School the past three years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tacoma and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Puyallup. He leaves to survive his wife, Mrs. Mildred F. Croy, at home; one son, Wallace W. Croy, of Seattle; one daughter, Mrs. Jania Crummell, of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Addie Croy, and one brother, Clyde B. Croy, both of this city. Funeral services were conducted in Puyallup Friday, Dec. 26, at 3 p.m. The remains will lie in state Sunday afternoon and evening, December 28, at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth. Graveside services will be conducted at Bay View Cemetery by the Rev. Norman D. Harrison, Monday, December 29, at 11:30 a.m.

CROY, Emma S., 2502 Lakeway Drive, age 73, passed away Sunday, May 22, (1966). Mrs. Croy was a forty-six year resident of this city, and was a member of the Advent Christian Church. Survivors are her husband, Clyde B., at home; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Burke; Mrs. Ella Stinson and Mrs. Gertrude Huber, all of St. Louis, Missouri, and Mrs. Nettie Rodgers of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Gene C. Biesinger and Walter Biesinger, both of St. Louis, Mo., also nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted by Rev. Donald R. Mace and Dr. Alvin Lobb Wednesday, May 25 at 3 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bay View Cemetery.

CROY, Marilyn S., age 59, of 2101 "I" Street, Bellingham, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 1991. Born February 10, 1932 in Ferndale, WA to Lynn and Florence Fox, she was employed at Needham's Nursing Home since 1970. Marilyn was a great lady, wife, mother and grandmother. She is going to be greatly missed, but God saw fit to take her home to live with Him. Marilyn and I had 42 years together. We had a lot of joyous times together. I thank God for giving Marilyn to be my wife. Yes, we have had some sad times, too, over 42 years together. Marilyn was a very true lady. Marilyn was a true Christian. She knew her Bible and what God meant to her. One of Marilyn's favorite activities was attending garage sales. Preceded in death by her grandmother, Josie Fox. She leaves to survive her husband, Jim, whom she married October 18, 1949; children: Jimmy, Lisa, Dennis and Pat Croy; Bev & Paul Lemley; Linda and Rick Kirschman; seven grandchildren, Skyler, Brandy, Mandy, Heather, Brock, Nathan, and Brian; two sisters and families: Ardelle and husband George Hanowell; their son Scott McKay and family; Lila and husband Jim Boyer; their family, Jamie, Chris, Doug, Jason and Misty; sister-in-law Jean Neilson; brother-in-law: Tom Martin, and their families; cousins and many friends. Funeral services Monday, September 23, 2:00 p.m. Church of Christ, 558 Sterling Drive, with Pastor Damon Grey officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

CROY, Mildred F., age 80, of 401 North "G" St., Tacoma, passed away in that city Wed., May 19, (1976). A life time resident of the Puyallup and Tacoma areas. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Tacoma First Presbyterian Church, the Retired Teachers Assoc. and the Puyallup Chapter of OES. Surviving are one son, Wallace W. Croy of Bellingham; one daughter, Jania Pasket of Houston, Texas; also 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Veroske's Bellingham Chapel, Monday, May 24, 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Grant Ripple officiating. Burial in Bay View Cemetery.

CROY, Nancie Addie, age 87, of 1700 Eldridge Ave., passed away in a local hospital Thursday, June 2, (1955). Mrs. Croy had resided in this community for the past 58 years and was a member of the Broadway United Presbyterian Church; World War I Mother's Club of the American Legion, Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7 and was a Life Member of the Western Washington Women's Christian Temperance Union. Surviving relatives are one son, Clyde Croy of Bellingham; two grandsons, Robert and Wallace Croy, both of Bellingham and one granddaughter, Mrs. Chester Crummel of Houston, Tex.; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Kate Hairgrove of Wellston, Mo., and many nieces and nephews including Ralph and Milton Brown, both of Bellingham. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Norman B. Harrison Monday, June 6, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place Bay View.

CROY, Phillip A., 62, died June 11, (1977) at Bonner General Hospital, Sandpoint, Idaho. He was born July 11, 1914 at Hope, Idaho. He moved with his family to Moscow, Lewiston area before entering the service where he served for 20 years. He married Kathryn Kettenmann on Feb. 17, 1961 at Fairbanks, Alaska. They moved to the Sandpoint area in 1963. He was a 25 year member of the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife Kathryn in Sandpoint; 1 son, Robert Croy, Spokane; 4 grandchildren, 1 brother Paul Croy, Hope, Idaho; 1 sister, Dorothy Croy, Sandpoint, Idaho; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Moon Chapel on Tues., June 14 at 10 a.m. under the direction of the Elks Lodge No. 1376 and Rev. James Scott of the United Presbyterian Church. Cremation will follow.

CROY, Robert Roger, age 38, of 2502 Lakeway Dr., passed away in a Seattle hospital, Tuesday, Nov. 16, (1959). Mr. Croy was a life resident of Bellingham and leaves to survive his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde B. Croy of this city; several uncles and aunts; several cousins, including Wallace Croy of Bellingham. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Don Wrigley and Frank Scott, Friday, Nov. 13, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place Bay View Cemetery.

CROY, Sexie L., 87, of 3605 Vining St. died Thursday Oct. 22, 1992. No services will be held. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. She was born March 4, 1905, in Bellingham to John and Lucinda Akin. She lived in Alaska for a time and returned to Bellingham in the early 1970s. Survivors include her friend, Donald K. Winchell of Bellingham. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home of Bellingham.
