ERICKSON, Adelia E., age 85, formerly of 2430 Williams St., passed away in Chicago Tuesday, March 19, (1963). A resident of Bellingham and Whatcom County for 60 years, Mrs. Erickson had resided in Chicago for the past two years. She was the widow of the late Emil Erickson and was a member of the Broadway United Presbyterian Church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Reece and Mrs. Garner E. Larson, both of Chicago; one grandson and one great-grandson; nieces and nephews; one cousin, Mrs. Florence Naff, of Bellingham. The remains will lie in state at Jones Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday where services will be conducted Monday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. Final resting place Bay View Cemetery.ERICKSON, Albert, age 68 years, formerly of 2104 New Street passed away in a Seattle hospital Friday, Jan. 22, (1960) following a short illness. Mr. Erickson had resided in Whatcom County for the past 53 years, was a member of the Central Lutheran Church and was a veteran of W.W.I. He leaves to survive one son, Darrell of Seattle; two grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin, Hans and Mark, all of this city; and four sisters, Mrs. Laura Howee of Packwood, Wash., Mrs. Minnie Enloe, Mrs. Hilda Johnson and Mrs. Adelia Moller, all of this city, also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 25, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with Rev. Oscar A. Jacobson officiating. Interment Greenacres.
ERICKSON, Albin N. "Happy" age 46 years, of Enumclaw, passed away in Seattle hospital Nov. 1, (1952) after an extended illness. He was a member of the Painter's Union and attended the Lutheran Church. Mr. Erickson is survived by one sister, Mrs. Irene Heggem, of Bellingham; two brothers, Conrad of Enumclaw, and Melvin of Bismark, N. Dakota; four nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be conducted from the Monroe Funeral Chapel, Friday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Amundsen officiating. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery.
ERICKSON, Algot A. - The funeral for Algot Axel Erickson, 87, of 1200 Lincoln St., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jerns-LeVeck Funeral Chapel. The Rev. William Berney will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Erickson died Dec. 15, 1991. He was born July 25, 1907, on Camano Island. He was a handyman and carpenter. A lifelong Pacific Northwest resident, Mr. Erickson was a member of the Bellingham Senior Center and Garden Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Charles Erickson, of Bellingham.
ERICKSON, Alma, age 94, of 1811 N. E. 8th East Wenatchee, Wa., passed away on Tuesday July 7, 1992 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA. She was born July 26, 1897 in Edison, WA to Buell and Eva Streeter and was the oldest of nine children. She met Melvin Erickson in Edison, WA and they were married in Bellingham on July 27, 1922. They moved to 2832 Sunset Drive, Bellingham. Melvin worked for the Bellingham Police Department. He later retired and in December of 1965 he passed away. Alma lived on Sunset Drive until 1990 when she moved to Wenatchee. During Alma's life she was a loving wife and mother and devoted her time to her entire family. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and gardening and was a very active member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Lou Yurman in 1978, she is survived by her loving daughter, Dolores and husband Erling Freeberg of Wenatchee; two brothers, Willard and wife Irene Streeter of Mt. Vernon, and Donald and wife Pat Streeter of Enumclaw; six grandchildren, Karen Smith of Wenatchee, Kirsten Heale of Federal Way, Erick Freeberg of New York, NY, Lisa Mulka of Bellingham, Leanne House and John Yurman of Anchorage, AK; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Bellingham, on Friday, July 10, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. James Stender will officiate.
ERICKSON, Alverta N., 81, formerly of Bellingham, died Friday (Oct. 31, 1986) in Edmonds. She was born April 7, 1905, in Freeborn County, Minn. She married the Rev. Clarence E. Wallin in 1930, and later married Hector S. Erickson of Bellingham in 1958. Both preceded her in death. A sister, Anna Jensen, also died in 1985. She returned to Washington in June 1986. Mrs. Erickson graduated from Bethel School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minn. She also had been a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two daughters, Maridythe Hitchison and Annamae Phalmer; two sisters, Ruth Bartelson of Longmont, Calif., and Elsie Wallin of Minneapolis, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Hitchison and the Rev. Larry Finch officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home.
ERICKSON, Alvilde, age 78, widow of the late Dan Erickson passed away at her home, 520 Edwards St., Monday, Sept. 9, (1963) after a lingering illness. Mrs. Erickson was born in Lofoten, Norway, and has been a resident of Bellingham for 57 years. She was a member of the Central Lutheran Church, and leaves to survive two daughters, Mrs. Lilly Christenson of Seattle and Mrs. Johanna Wilson of Bellingham; two sons, Ralph and Capt. Dehardt Erickson, Bellingham Police Dept., both of Bellingham; four grandchildren, Pattie Wilson, Donna, DeHardt Jr., and Daniel Erickson, all of Bellingham; one brother and three sisters in Norway; also many nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Pastor Obed L. G. Vold Thursday, Sept. 12, at 1:00 p.m. Final resting place Bay View.
ERICKSON, Amelia, age 70, of 2427 Pacific Street, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday, February 14, (1951) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Erickson had been a resident of this community for the past 12 years, and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Surviving relatives include her husband Anton; a daughter, Mrs. Ovinam Hill, of Bellingham, and three grandchildren, Larry Harold, Ruby Ann and Vernon Wendell Hill, all of Bellingham, and many other relatives. Services will be conducted Friday, February 16, at 1:30 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home with the Rev. Elvin S. Hansen, pastor of St. Marks Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in Greenacres Memorial Park.
ERICKSON, Ann M. E. - Funeral services for Ann M. E. Erickson, 84, of 1208 Yew St., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jerns-LeVeck Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. William Berney, officiating. Burial will be at Bayview Ceetery. Mrs. Erickson died Thursday, (September 13, 1990) at St. Joseph Hospital South Campus. She was born Anna Anderson Jan. 10, 1906 in Canada. She came to the United States as an infant. Mrs. Erickson entered into a nursing career at Swedish Hospital in Seattle before working locally at St. Francis Care Facility, Needham's Nursing Home and Whatcom County Hospital. She married Charles Erickson on Aug. 5, 1975 in Bellingham. She was a member of the Garden St. Methodist Church and the Uraina American Lodge #414. Survivors include her husband, Charles of the family home; a son, Robert Bostwick of Lynnwood; two daughters, Donna Haley of Bellingham and Darlene Calhoun of Custer; a brother, Arthur Anderson of Lopez Island; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Erickson was preceded in death by two daughters, Bernice Menges and Beverly Bostwick; and a grandson, Dennis Bigler. Arrangements are by Jerns-LeVeck Funeral Chapel.
ERICKSON, Anna, age 79 years, a resident of Ferndale for the past six years, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, December 6, (1945). Mrs. Erickson is survived by four sons, Edwin J., of Ferndale, Conrad I., of Enumclaw, Albin N., of Bend, Oregon, Melvin T, of Portland, Oregon; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Heggem, of Ferndale; two brothers, Sigurd Hanberg, of Egmont, B. C., Haakon Hanberg, Henning, Minn.; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale, Monday, December 10, at 2 p.m. with Rev. C. J. Nostvold officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
ERICKSON, Anna A., age 67, of 2009 B St., passed away in a local hospital Saturday, Feb. 16, (1957). Miss Erickson had resided in this community the past 12 years, coming here from Chicago where she had lived many years, was a nurses' aide at St. Luke's Hospital and was a member of the Mission Covenant Church. Surviving relatives include two sisters, Mrs. Emma W. Johnson of Bellingham and Mrs. Ida J. Lundstrom of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; a nephew, Howland Johnson of Seattle, and two nieces, Mrs. Dwight Gustafson of Bellingham and Mrs. Arleen Bolin of Turlock, Cal. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Rev. Paul Nelson Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.
ERICKSON, Anna B., age 68 years, 1036 Humboldt Street, passed away at a local hospital, Monday, January 14, (1946). Mrs. Erickson had resided here the past thirty-two years and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Surviving is the husband, Oscar, at home. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by Rev. Earl Soiland, Thursday, January 17 at 3 p.m. Cremation.
ERICKSON, Anna B., age 78, of 5443 Mt. Baker Highway, Deming, passed away Friday, September 8, 1989 in Deming. She was born March 29, 1911 in Bellingham, WA and had been a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. Mrs. Erickson is survived by her 2 daughters: Alida Francisco & husband Dean of Deming and Carol Cronk & husband Ray of Deming; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a cousin George Rosenhall of Bellingham. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Greenacres Memorial Park. Officiating will be Chaplain Rex Watt.
ERICKSON, Anna Kathrina, age 82, of 1151 Meridian Road, passed away at her home Sunday, July 25, (1954) following an extended illness. Mrs. Erickson had resided in this county the past 54 years and was a member of the Bakerview Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ebba Wetzel, Lynden, Mrs. Elsa Jackson, Long Beach, Calif., Miss Leona Smith of Bellingham; three sons, Edwin, Bellingham, Paul, Forks, Wash., Magnus in the Philippine Islands and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in the Monroe Funeral Home in Ferndale Wednesday, July 28, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Morris Engstrom officiating. Interment in the family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery.
ERICKSON, Anna Lisa, age 74, of 1553 Meridian Rd., passed away at home Wednesday, Oct. 4, (1961). A resident of Whatcom County for the past 40 years, Mrs. Erickson was the widow of the late Victor Erickson and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Moultray and Mrs. Helen Hamilton, both of Bellingham, and Mrs. Ruth Pizer, of Silver Springs, Md.; one son, John Erickson, of Vancouver, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Arvid Jarvi, in Finland. Mrs. Erickson had resided in Bellingham for the past 53 years and she leaves to survive, two sons, Howard of Seattle and Earl of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Johnson and Mr. Edna Diemert, both of this city, and Mrs. Marie Kegley of Albuquerque, N. Mr. Erickson was a retired farmer and had resided in Whatcom County for the past 15 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He leave to survive one daughter, Mrs. Ovina S. ERICKSON, Arne N., age 81, of Bethany Home, Everett, passed away in Everett Sunday, June 16th, (1963) following an extended illness. Mr. Erickson had been a resident of Whatcom County for 32 years and was a member of the Lutheran Brethren Church in Ferndale. He leaves to survive his wife, Ida; one brother, Hans Erickson of Conrad, Montana; numerous nieces and nephews, including Rev. Lester Erickson of Ferndale; Miss Anne Brandt of Bellingham; Mrs. Veda Flockoi and Alfred Brandt both of Lynden. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 18 at 2 p.m. in the Lutheran Brethren Church in Ferndale with Rev. Lester Erickson officiating. Interment Greenacres under the direction of the Moles Funeral Home.
ERICKSON, Arol E., age 76, of Lynden, passed away in a Bellingham hospital on Sunday, Jan. 17, 1988, of heart failure. Mr. Erickson was born in Ironwood, Mich. on March 11, 1911. He moved to Lynden with his wife, Evelyn, in September 1985; they were married on July 27, 1941. Mr. Erickson retired in August 1975 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, after 40 years of federal service. At the time of his retirement he was employed in the Directorate of Maintenance and Material Management. He also served during peace time in the U. S. Army Air Corps prior to World War II. He also was active for many years in community service and with the Federal Retirees chapters in Bountiful, Utah, and Bellingham. He is survived by his wife Evelyn, of Lynden; a son, David and wife Karen of North Salt Lake, Utah; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara and husband Kevin Smith of Lynden; six grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Erickson of Sun City, Ariz., and Cecil and Irwin Erickson of Kankakee, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Viola and husband Alec Alaspa of Miagara, Wis. and Grace Erickson of Ironwood, Mich. and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 12 noon in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5800 Northwest Rd., Ferndale. Burial will follow in Lynden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.
ERICKSON, Arthur L. - Private family graveside service for Arthur L. Erickson, age 84, of 1500 12th St., will be held. Mr. Erickson passed away Sun. Sept. 6, 1987. A Bellingham resident all of his life, he had been a Chevrolet salesman for 50 years and is survived by his wife, Bernadine; daughter, Shirley & husband Gerald Farwell of Bellingham; 4 grandchildren, Jerry & Marcia Farwell, Julie & Doug Osborn, Janna Farwell, Janey & Rick Axelson; 5 great grandchildren, Dana, Jason & Corey Osborn, Rori Axelson & Allen Farwell; sister, Florence Rassmusen of City; brother, Edwin Erickson of Stanwood.
ERICKSON, August P., age 78, of 607 E. Holly St., passed away in a local hospital Saturday, December 11, (1948). Mr. Erickson had been a resident of this community for the past 46 years and was a retired Meat Dealer, formerly at the York Addition Market. Deceased was a member of the Lutheran Church and Life Member of the I.O.O.F. and leaves to survive one nephew, Erhard L. Erickson of Bellingham and many nephews and nieces in St. Paul, Minn. and Sweden. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. R. J. Jensen Tuesday, December 14 at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View.
ERICKSON, Bernadine H. - Visitation for Bernadine H. Erickson of Bellingham will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Jones Moles Funeral Home. Family graveside services will be at Bayview Cemetery with the Rev. Marta Schellberg officiating. Mrs. Erickson died Monday, Nov. 15, 1993, in Bellingham. She was 89. Born Feb. 18, 1904, to William and Lillian Mathus in Mount Vernon, she lived in Whatcom County since 1927. She enjoyed handicrafts, gardening and baking. Her husband, Arthur Erickson, died in September 1987. Survivors in Bellingham include daughter Shirley Farwell; sister Gladys Mathus [unreadable] Jack Mathus; granddaughters Julie Osborn, Janna Farwell and Janey Axelson; grandson Jerry Farwell; and seven great-grandchildren.
ERICKSON, Bernice E., age 69, of Ferndale passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, (1973). Mrs. Erickson had been a resident of the Ferndale community her entire life time and was a member of the Bakerview Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Signe Erickson of Ferndale; seven nieces, Eleanor Berg of Denver, Marie Weltz of Stanwood, Gwen Brown of Burlington, Harriet Allard of Tacoma, Joan Chittick of Seattle, Carolyn Gibson of Detroit, Barbara Erickson of Minneapolis; three nephews, Harold Erickson of Minneapolis, Rod Erickson of Ferndale, Jim Erickson of Bellingham; numerous other relatives. Funeral services were conducted in Moles Funeral Chapel Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert Weltz officiating. Interment was in Enterprise Cemetery.
ERICKSON, Brian D., of Big Lake, Minn., died Friday, April 23, 1993, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was 53. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Saron Lutheran Church in Big Lake with Rev. R. W. Oltmanns officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Clay County, Minn. Mr. Erickson was born Dec. 3, 1949 in Great Falls, Mont., to Gordon and Madeline (Bruce) Erickson. He attended school in Bellingham and later served in the U. S. Marine Corp. He married Ardys Ernst in Bellingham on Nov. 5, 1965. He was self employed in the construction industry for many years before attending Alexandria Technical College from 1986 to 1988. He was then employed in fluid-power sales. He was a longtime member of the Masons. He enjoyed playing the saxophone and played for several different bands over the years. He moved to Big Lake in 1990. Survivors include his wife Ardys; sons Ryan and Mark Erickson, both of Big Lake; daughter Darlys Joerg of Big Lake; brothers Gary Erickson of Bellingham and Clayton Erickson of Sedro Woolley; sisters Marilyn Smith of Algona, Wash., Beth Erickson of Mount Vernon and Deane LeVaile of Bellingham; and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel in Monticello, Minn.
ERICKSON, Carl Oscar, age 71, passed away at the family home, 2101 J Street, Tuesday, April 8, (1952). Mr. Erickson had been a resident of this community for the past 15 years and was a retired gardener. Deceased had attended the Calvary Pentecostal Church and leaves to survive his widow, Hilda, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Lukes, of Britton, S. D., and three grandchildren, Ronald and Darrel Luke, both of Britton, S. D., and Miss Beverly Lukes, of Bellingham. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. David S. Land Wednesday, April 16, at 1 p.m.
ERICKSON, Carl Ragnar, age 68, passed away suddenly at Anchorage, Alaska, Friday, Aug. 21, (1959) following a brief illness. Mr. Erickson had resided in Whatcom County for the past 48 years and had been employed by Pacific American Fisheries for the past 16 years. He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Bellingham and of the Alaska Fisherman's Union. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Wenda E. Erickson, residing in Bellingham; one daughter, Mrs. James S. Johnson, one son, Mr. Carl A. Erickson; one grandson, James E. Erickson, all of Bellingham, and one brother, Alex Erickson of Sweden. Rev. D. W. Taylor will officiate at funeral services, Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Bingham and Jerns Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park.
ERICKSON, Charles, age 83, 1802 17th Ave., Seattle, passed away in Seattle Tuesday, Ma 25, (1954) after a brief illness. Mr. Erickson had been a resident of the Ferndale community for 50 years. He was a member of Bakerview Baptist Church. Survived by one sister in Sweden, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 29, at 2 p.m. in the Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale with Rev. Morris Engstrom officiating, assisted by Rev. A. H. Johnson. ERICKSON, Charles Algot, age 58 of 1200 Lincoln St., Bellingham, WA passed away July 3, 1994 at his home. Mr. Erickson was born July 10, 1935 in Phoenix, AZ to Mr. and Mrs. Algot A. Erickson and has been a local resident for 45 years. Charles was a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church. Charles will be remembered for the many times he would entertain the children and senior citizens while wearing one of his many costumes as well as the many dozen cookies he baked to share. Survivors are his mother Eileen Erickson of Stanwood, Washington and step-daughters Donna Haley of Bellingham and Darlene Calhoun of Custer and step-son, Robert Bostwick of Lynnwood. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8 in the Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel with Rev. Drew officiating. Burial will be in the Bayview Cemetery. ERICKSON, Christine, age 79, of 1831 Smith Rd., passed away in a local sanitarium Friday, April 8, (1960). Mrs. Erickson had resided in this community for the past 20 years and leaves to survive one son, Edgar, at home; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. ERICKSON, Clarence, age 54, 715 High Street, passed away Thursday, April 9, (1964). Mr. Erickson was a lifetime resident of this city, where he was employed by Pacific American Fisheries as a machinist, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and the International Assn. of Machinists, Local No. 239. Survivors are his widow, Carrie, at home; two sons, Ronald C., city and Robert L., Seattle; four grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Clara Erickson, city; one brother, Richard, city; one sister, Mrs. Fred Griener, Seattle. Services will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Daugs Monday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, followed by burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Lawrence.
ERICKSON, Clarence E., Klein Road, age 57, well known car salesman, passed away Monday, April 24, (1967). He was a life resident of this City. He was the beloved brother of Mrs. Ann Leach of Seattle, and son of Andrew Erickson, at home. Services will be conducted by Pastor Evald E. Olsenius Thursday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park.
ERICKSON, Clarence G. "Ace" formerly of Bellingham, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, in Everett. He was 75. At his request, no service was held. Born Nov. 24, 1921, in Everett, he was a World War II veteran and a 50-year member of Carpenters Union Local No. 562. A resident of Everett most of his life, he lived in Bellingham from 1943-1945. He enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife, June; sons Clarence Erickson, David Erickson and Larry Erickson; daughter Christine Howard; sister Elsie Juntunen; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
ERICKSON, Conrad I., age 68, 1745 Axton Road, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, July 2, (1963). Mr. Erickson was a Retired Rural Mail Carrier; had resided in this community for the past ten years; was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Lawrence; a veteran of World War I, and a member of William Lee Alexander Post No. 3685, VFW at Laurel. Survivors are his widow, Sigrid, at home; two daughters, Miss Corinne and Miss Cheryl Erickson, at home; one son, Gordon L. Erickson, City; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Henet Heggem, Everson, and nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Pastor E. M. ERICKSON, Cora, age 91, a life time resident of Blaine, Washington passed away in a Blaine Nursing Home, Wednesday, February 9, 1983. She was a charter member of the Birch Bay Grange and a member of the Custer Garden Club. She leaves to survive 2 sons, Robert Erickson & Russell Erickson, both of Blaine; 2 grandchildren. ERICKSON, Corinne M. - A memorial service for Corinne M. Erickson, age 62, 6364 Siper Rd., Everson, was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, in Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Lewin Clefisch officiating. Miss Erickson passed away Aug. 21, 1987. She was a Poulso resident until moving to Everson in June of this year. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo where she served as a parish worker and secretary; a member of the Kitsap Orthopedic Guild and of the American Lutheran Church Staff Workers Association. She was born in Minot, N. D. on April 12, 1925. She served many congregations in Minnesota, California and Washington as church secretary, director of Christian education, parish worker, teacher and speaker at many functions. She served as the local parish worker during the pastorates of Rev. E. Melvin Bremer and Rev. O. B. Fjelstad. She began the kindergarten and pre-school program at Immanuel in 1963. She is survived by her brother, Gordon and wife Marion Erickson of Everson; three nieces, Deborah Erickson of California, Karen and husband Ken Williams of Lynnwood, and Susan Erickson of Richland; an aunt and uncle, Irene and Henet Heggem of Bellingham; and several cousins. ERICKSON, Dan J., age 70, of 520 Edwards St. passed away in a local hospital Thursday, March 28, (1957). Mr. Erickson had resided in this community for the past 54 years and was a retired machinist. Deceased had been a Life Member of Bellingham Lodge No. 194, B.P.O.Elks; was a member of Fairhaven Lodge No. 73, F.&A.M., a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies and a member of the Nile Temple of the shrine. Surviving relatives are his widow, Alvilde, at home; two sons, Ralph A. and Dehardt M., both of Bellingham; two daughters, Mrs. Lilly Christenson of Seattle and Mrs. Johanna Wilson of Bellingham; four grandchildren, Donna, Dehardt and Danny Erickson and Patty Jo Wilson all of Bellingham, also one sister, Mrs. Dehardt Mehus in Norway. ERICKSON, David Alexander, age 95 passed away Sun. Jan. 21st in B'ham. Born in Chicago, Ill. on 5/29/83. He came west from Minnesota in 1920 and worked as a millwright in Lumber mills in Snoqualmie Falls, Preston, Everett, Anacortes & had rebuilt lumber mills in B'ham before his retirement 30 yrs ago. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Gladys Hewitt of Yakima, Mrs. Wilson (Mildred) McDowell of Seattle, 1 son Carl D. Erickson of Bellevue, 1 step son, Wayne McCrayde of L. ERICKSON, David J., age 58 years, of 2615 Northwest Avenue, passed away at the family home Monday, July 24, (1950). Mr. Erickson had resided here all his life and was a co-owner of the Model Truck & Storage Company. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 231, and the American Legion, Albert J. Hamilton Post, No. 7. Surviving relatives are his widow, Hazel, at home; one son, Gordon, of Olympia; his mother, Mrs. Mary Erickson, of this city; one sister, Mrs. Laura Laube, of Bothell; two brothers, Hector and Rod Erickson, both of this city, and numerous nephews and nieces. ERICKSON, Delbert Lee, M.D., age 60, died June 13, 1992 at his summer place in Pinetop, Arizona. Memorial services were held June 18, 1992 in Phoenix. Delbert was born August 17, 1931 in Hazen, North Dakota, the son of Emma and Fred Erickson. The Fred Erickson family moved to the Lynden, Washington area in 1936 when Delbert was five years old. He attended Northwood Grade School for six years and then Lynden Public Schools. He graduated from High School in 1949. Delbert Erickson attended Western Washington College (now WW University) for one year and the University of Washington for seven years. He graduated from the Medical School in 1957. Dr. Erickson interned in Tacoma, practiced in Poulsbo before moving to Phoenix in 1961 where he practiced medicine for nearly 30 years. Delbert Erickson is survived by his wife Marlene, three sons, one daughter, six grandchildren, one brother Allen Erickson of Birch Bay, one sister Ruth Husfloen of Seattle, one nephew and four nieces, one aunt Edith Reinke of Ferndale, one uncle Eric Olander of Mandon, North Dakota and numerous cousins.

ERICKSON, Dorothy Mae - Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Erickson of Bellingham will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Moles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Wyanski officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Erickson, 90, of 5031 Aldrich Road died Sunday, May 8, 1994. Born Jan. 18, 1904, to William G. and Rozena Smith in Burns, Kan., she moved with her family to Whatcom County in 1905. She married Emil Erickson June 22, 1922, in Bellingham and had lived here ever since. Her husband died in 1987. Mrs. Erickson was a 50-year member of the North Bellingham Grange and was its musician for many years. She was a member of the Sunset Neighbors Club, the "Jet Oldsters" and the United Church of Ferndale. Survivors include son Marlin Erickson of Bellingham; daughter Loralee Nordby of Bellingham; brother Glenn R. Smith of Bellingham; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
ERICKSON, E. Warner, 65, former budget director for Bellingham Public Schools, died Tuesday, May 5, 1992. He was born Dec. 17, 1926, in Bellingham to Erhard and Lillian Erickson. He was employed from 1949 to 1965 as a accountant with Puget Power, and as budget director for Bellingham Public Schools from 1965 through 1984. He married Joyce Godfrey on Sept. 8, 1950, in Vancouver, B. C. She survives him in Birch Bay Village. Mr. Erickson was a member of First Congregational Church and Kirkland Grand Lodge 150 F&AM. Other survivors include his son Stan Erickson of Bellingham and Harvey Erickson of Kent; daughters Nadean Meyer of Spokane, Meg Brotnov of Bellingham, and Sharon Posey of Mountlake Terrace; his sister Eleanor McCracken of Aberdeen; and 11 grandchildren. ERICKSON, Edith P. - A memorial service for Edith P. Erickson of Bellingham will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Congregational Church with the Revs. Don McClellan and Cindy Bauleke officiating. Mrs. Erickson died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996. She was 95. Born June 6, 1901, to Noah and Ella Snyder in Sioux City, Iowa, she was raised there. She married Elmer Erickson on Aug. 12, 1922. Mrs. Erickson served in several churches in South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oregon and Washington and was involved in Indian Mission work. Moving to Bellingham in 1965 to retire, he became Associate Minister at the First Congregational Church, also serving Lummi Island until 1973, Ordained in the Congregational Church in Cottonwood, So. Dakota, he served prairie churches and the Santee Indians under the Board of Home Missions; later churches in Nebraska, Kansas & Oregon. Always a builder, he was instrumental in building the new Seabrook Church in Topeka, Kansas. Active in youth work, he gave much effort to the summer camping programs. He was a member of Kiwanis, took part in Boy Scouting for 30 years, was a 50 year Mason; member of The Mountainview Lodge No. 161, Edgemont, So. Dakota and Past Master of Scribner, Nebraska Lodge No. 132 F & AM. Survivors include his wife Edith; sons, John & wife Roberta Erickson of City, Rev. Charles & wife Jane Erickson of Olivet, Michigan, James & wife Joyce Erickson of Durango, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Tillie Erickson of Santa Barbara, Calif.

ERICKSON, Emma Caroline Olander of Lynden, Washington died Friday July 31, 1981 after a brief illness. At her request there will be no services. Emma is survived by a daughter, Ruth Husfloen of Seattle and two sons, Allen Erickson of Lynden and Delbert Erickson of Phoenix. She leaves nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Edith Reinke of Bellingham, two brothers, Leonard Oldander of Stanton, North Dakota, Eric Olander of Mandan, North Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Erickson was born Emma Caroline Olander in Stanton, North Dakota October 10, 1897. She was married to Fred Erickson of Fargo, North Dakota in 1919. They spent the next seventeen years in North Dakota before moving to the Northwood area near Lynden, Washington in 1936. Emma Erickson was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1975.

ERICKSON, Erika, age 81 years, of Ferndale, passed away Thursday morning, August 26, (1948) at a local hospital. Mrs. Erickson had been a resident of Ferndale for the past 23 years and was a member of the Ferndale Swedish Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of Ferndale, also two nephews, and three nieces in Sweden. ERICKSON, Ethel F., age 94, of 2074 Main St., Ferndale, passed away Mon. Oct. 27, 1986. She was born in Woburn, Mass. Jan. 16, 1892, was a Ferndale since 1920, prior to that lived in Alberta, Canada, was a member of the Ferndale Assembly of God Church & was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Erickson in Sept. 1970 and her son Milton in 1974. ERICKSON, George Carl, 95, of 700 32nd St. died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1992. At his request, no services will be held. Born Jan. 16, 1897, in Swea City, Iowa, to Charles and Anna Erickson, he was a resident of Whatcom County since 1936. Mr. Erickson was a used-car dealer in Bellingham for several years, and was a 54-year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aeire No. 31, Bellingham. Survivors include his wife, Ann Erickson, of Bellingham; son Jim Miller of Eagle River, Alaska; sister Edith Erickson of Vancouver, B. C., Elsie Sanders of Abbotsford, B. ERICKSON, Georgina A. - A memorial service for Georgina A. Erickson, 61, formerly of Bellingham, will take place 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Livingston, Mont. Mrs. Erickson died Sunday (May 13, 1990) in Livingston after a long illness. She was born June 25, 1928 in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada and spent much of her early life in Canada. In 1958 she moved to Elko, Nev., where she worked for many years as an assistant office manager for the Elko Clinic. Mrs. Erickson came to Bellingham in 1988 and recently went to Livingston to be near her daughter, Gerri Lyman. While in Bellingham, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and sang in the choir. She loved to knit and did beautiful knitting projects for her family. Survivors include her son Curtis Noble Dollarhide of Lamoille, Nev.; daughter Mrs. Paul (Gerry) Lyman of Livingston, Mont.; mother Elsie Genge of Burnaby, B. C.; brother Gerald Noble of Kamloops, B. C.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Miss Erickson was a retired registered nurse, and had lived in Seattle for 10 years until her retirement two weeks ago, at which time she moved to Bellingham and made her home with her sister. She attended the Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Nurses Association. ERICKSON, Irene A. Nelson - Memorial services for Irene A. Nelson Erickson, 91, of 2812 25th St., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sunrise Baptist Church. Rev. Jon Aldrich will officiate. Mrs. Erickson died Sunday, Feb. 3, (1991) at the Sehome Park Care Center in Bellingham. Mrs. Erickson was born July 20, 1899, to Carl and Jennie Nelson in Seattle. She married John F. Erickson in Calgary, Alberta, on May 26, 1922. They lived in Alberta until December 1944, when they moved to the Custer area. He died in 1969, and Mrs. Erickson moved to Bellingham in July 1988. Mrs. Erickson attended Sunrise Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and belonged to the Women's Ministries and the Bible Memory Association. Survivors include a son, Fred Erickson of Portland, Ore.; daughters Gladys Reimer of Blaine, Ruth Waters of Bellingham and Phyllis Erickson of Niger, West Africa; sisters Alice Nelson, Hulda Anderson and Edith Guerin of Bellingham and Wilma Stroud of Chehalis; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Visitation hours will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.

ERICKSON, Jean S., passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 21, 1991, at Peace Arch Extended Care Nursing Home in White Rock, B.C. She was born August 31, 1920 in Regina, Sask. She moved to Vancouver, B. C. in 1942. She was employed by T. Eaton Co. until early medical retirement in 1982. ERICKSON, John E., age 83, of 2216 Donovan, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, March 21, (1951). Mr. Erickson had been a fifty-year resident of this community, and at one time had been the roadmaster for the Northern Pacific Railway at Minneapolis; had been the owner of the Bellingham Truck & Storage Company, and had farmed near Lawrence until his retirement a few years ago. Deceased was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and leaves to survive, three sons, Harry, of Bellingham, and Kenneth and Orville, both of Seattle; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Oakes and Mrs. Claire Collings, both of Bellingham, and Mrs. Winnifred Mackie, of Portland, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. ERICKSON, John M. of 700 32nd St. died in Bellingham last Monday, Oct. 18, 1993, after a short bout of pneumonia. He was 80. A memorial celebration for family and friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at his sister Martha Kylling's home at 22808 State Route 530 N. W. in Silvana. Private services were held in Silvana. Mr. Erickson was born July 14, 1913, in Tokio, N. D., to Alfred and Nettie DeCamp Erickson. He had been a Whatcom County resident since 1991. Mr. Erickson moved to Silvana in 1936 and was married to Ida Stemsen from 1938 until 1983, when they divorced. He owned an appliance store and a bakery in Stanwood and was owner-operator of Allen Creek Electric in Marysville from 1960 to 1972. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a life-time member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 5671 in Marysville, the American Legion in Everett and the Eagles Aerie No. 3041 in Stanwood. In 1941, he and 32 others chartered the Stanwood Lions Club. He was married to Marge Hill from 1984 until 1989, when they divorced. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors include daughters, Jacquelyn Knaus of Acme, Lynda Erickson of Everett and Arlyn McClung of Arlington; sisters Martha Kylling and Mary Erickson of Silvana and Emily Hancock of Marysville; brothers Bud Erickson of Silvana, Bert Erickson of Whittier, Calif., and Leonard Erickson of Hawthorne, Nev., five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ERICKSON, John V., age 53, passed away in Blaine, Friday, January 19, (1945) after a long illness. Mr. Erickson was a former Blaine school teacher and is survived by the widow, Cora; two sons, Robert J., with the U. S. air corps in Italy and Russell G., with the U. S. army in France. The body is resting at the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine where funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 22, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Blaine Cemetery.
ERICKSON, Keith Winton - A memorial service will be held later for Keith Winton Erickson, 82, who lived at the Leopold Hotel, 1224 Cornwall Ave. Mr. Erickson died Saturday (Apr. 28, 1990). He was born Dec. 27, 1907, in Lester, Minn., and had been a Whatcom County resident for three years. He previously had lived in Eugene, Ore., and Oceanside, Calif., and worked for 46 years as a superintendent of operations for Burlington Northern Railroad's subsidiary, Western Fruit Express. ERICKSON, Lawrence Walfred, of Bellingham, WA went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Saturday December 17, 2005, in his home surrounded by family. Larry was 89, born September 7, 1916, in Wetaskwin, Alberta, Canada, to Fred and Ethel (Anderson) Erickson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Milton Erickson. Larry leaves behind Janis, his wife of 58 years; daughter Kae, her husband Bill Unrein, and granddaughters Megan and Erica all of Bellingham; sister Viola Stone and husband Dick of Ferndale; and a number of nieces and nephews. Larry served in the U. S. Army during WWII, seeing action in Europe. He owned and operated Erickson Construction Co., and was the founding owner of the Overhead Door Company of Bellingham until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of Kiwanis Club of Bellingham for 49 years, recently receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. He served in many capacities, including club president in 1968 and Distinguished Lieutenant Governor in 1972. He was a 51-year member of United Commercial Travelers and served as the organization's Supreme Chaplain in 1985. He was a commissioner for the Lake Samish Water District from 1973 to 1987 and served as president for several years. Larry was also active in the Bellingham Chamber of Commerce and other civic and professional organizations in Bellingham. In retirement, he and Janis enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Erickson had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 42 years, and was a member of the First Congregational church and the Mothers' club. She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Miss Hazel May Erickson and Mrs. Minnie Brown, of this city; two sons, Dare Robertson, of Lummi Island, and Oswald Robertson, of Seattle; also ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The remains are resting at the Bingham-Dahlquist Funeral Home where funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 3, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. W. Carl Calhoun officiating, and interment will be made in the family plot in Woodlawn cemetery. Casketbearers will be James Short, Hjalmer Sorensen, Al Patch, Elmo Ford, and John Anderson.

ERICKSON, Madeline I. - Funeral services for Madeline I. Erickson, 354 Pacific Highway, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenacres Funeral Home. Mrs. Erickson, 69, died Friday (Nov. 28, 1986) in Bellingham. She was born Jan. 1, 1917 in Farmington, Mont., and had been a Bellingham resident for 44 years. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church and the Sunshine Demonstration Club. Mrs. Erickson was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Erickson, in May, 1969. Survivors include three sons, Brian D. Erickson (Ardys) of Alexandria, Minn., and Gary D. Erickson (Marie C.) and Clayton G. Erickson (Sharon), both of Bellingham; three daughters, Marilyn Smith (Glen) of Algona, and Beth Wibbens (John) and Diane LaVeille (Alan), both of Bellingham; two sisters, Margaret O'Neil of Cascade, Mont. and Jean McNamara of Seattle; a brother, Harold Bruce of Seattle; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. ERICKSON, Magnus E. - Memorial services for Magnus E. "Eric" Erickson, age 71, were held Saturday, Nov. 17, 1984, at 10 a.m. in Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rex Watt, Ferndale Advent Christian Mission officiating. Mr. Erickson died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 1984. He had been a lifetime resident of Whatcom County and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Custer Sportsman Club, the Senior Citizens Bowling League of Lynden and a former Mason. He was a retired employee with Baker Cold Storage of Lynden and had been an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife Irene; two sons, Gary of Ferndale, and Mark of Honolulu, Hawaii; a daughter, Penny Anderson of Ferndale; six grandchildren; two sisters, Elsa Jackson of Bellingham, and Leona Smith of Laurel; numerous nieces and nephews. ERICKSON, Margaret Jean was born 1 July 1931 in Vancouver, B.C. to Agnes and Aubrey Blanchard and passed away on 2 February 2007. She grew up as a teenager in Vernon, B.C. and at the age of 17 traveled to see friends in Abbotsford, B.C. Her return home was delayed by flooding along the Fraser River, so she remained in Abbotsford to work as a telephone operator. During this time, she met her future husband, Alfred Allen Erickson, whom she married in March 1950. Jean and Allen settled in Whatcom County where they raised four daughters. Jean, first with her partner Inez Hoekstra, and later with Allen, operated InaJean Fashions on Front Street in Lynden for 24 years. Jean was a successful business woman, serving as Chair of the Lynden Downtown Business Association and as a member of the Lynden Chamber of Commerce. In 1982, Jean and Allen moved to Jacob's Landing in Birch Bay, where she served several terms on the Board of Directors, including Board Chair. In retirement she became a gourmet cook and enjoyed hosting dinner parties and family gatherings. Jean also was active in the Lynden United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Allen, her daughters Janis Bolstad (Monty), Diane Erickson (Richard Paez), Marsha Erickson (Phillip Ramirez), and Carol Codd (Paul), seven grandchildren, one great grandson, her sister Doreen Siems, and sisters-in-law Ruth Husfloen and Marlene Erickson. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, Lynden, on February 24 at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Erickson was born in Bellingham on Oct. 27, 1933, a daughter of Fred and Marian (Wilson) German. She graduated from Mount Baker High School and Washington State University with a degree in vocational education and home economics in 1955. She then taught home economics at Mount Baker High School from 156 until 1959. She then became a homemaker and was active in 4-H and the Cub Scouts. She was past president of the Mount Baker Garden Club and past director of the Chuckanut District of Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lynden. She also was a six-year volunteer in the Floral Department for the Northwest Washington Fair.
In Deming on July 14, 1956 she was married to Kenneth Erickson and he survives his wife at the family home in Everson. Other survivors include two sons, Eric Erickson and wife Renea of Lynden and Leif Erickson and wife Robin of Lynden; two daughters, Bonnie Pearson and husband Wayne of Prosser and Donn McCreesh and husband Paul of Blaine; her parents, Fred and Marian German of Maple Falls; brother Ken German of Bellevue, Neb.; and five granddaughters. Memorial funeral services were held on Friday at First Baptist Church in Lynden with Rev. Hoyt Sherwin officiating. Burial preceded in St. Peter's Cemetery at Maple Falls. ERICKSON, Milt - Funeral services for M. E. "Milt" Erickson, 54, of Burlington, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Viewcrest Assembly of God Church, Mount Vernon. He died Tuesday (Oct. 15, 1974) at Skagit Valley Hospital. Mr. Erickson came to Ferndale in 1922. He was employed as an accountant at Puget Power in Bellingham and moved to Burlington in 1959. ERICKSON, Norris C. - A funeral service for Norris C. Erickson of Everett was set for 10 a.m. today at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home in Everett. Graveside services were to follow in Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Everett. A reception was to be held at First Methodist Church in Everett after the burial. Mr. Erickson, 87, died Friday, March 25, 1994, in Everett. Born May 23, 1906, to Harry and Naomi Erickson in Bellingham, he moved to Everett in 1914 and had lived there since. He married Margaret Stephenson in the mid 1970s. He retired as a bookkeeper in the logging industry. He was one of the original property owners at Lake Cavanaugh and loved hiking and working in the forests. He was a member of Everett First Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of the family home; son Frank Erickson of Tacoma; daughters Mona Hall of Bellingham, Nancy Petersen of Edmonds; stepson John Ancock of Olympia and Frank Ancock of Bellingham; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
ERICKSON, Olof R. of 3000 Victor St. died Thursday, July 21, 1994, at Alderwood Park Convalescent Center. He was 92. A memorial service will be included in the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service at First Christian Church, 495 E. Bakerview Road. Born Nov. 2, 1901, in Torsas, Sweden, he lived in Whatcom County the past 43 years. At age 23, he moved to Canada to work on the railroad and to mine. He married Lorene N. Dale on June 1, 1946, in Seattle. In 1951, he moved to Whatcom County, where he was an original shareholder in Mount Baker Plywood. He retired in 1966. Mr. Erickson was a life member of Vasa Lodge in Seattle and a regular attendee at First Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of the family one; stepson Donald Dale of Olympia; stepdaughter Lorna Williams of Seattle; sister Anna Erickson of Sweden; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. ERICKSON, Raymond A. - Funeral services for MSgt. Raymond A. Erickson, Ret., age 54, 708 Nooksack, were conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1986 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Gillies Funeral Home with Rev. David Hungerford officiating. Mr. Erickson, who died at his home on Saturday, Sept. 6, (1986), was born on Sept. 18, 1931, in Cloquet, Minn., and moved to Whatcom County from Mountain Home, Idaho, in 1970 following his retirement of 21 years in the U. S. Air Force. He had been employed as a mill wright at Great Western Lumber for many years and recently as a driver for Barlean Sawdust. On June 19, 1954, he was married to Virginia Scotts in Gainsville, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a son, Brian and wife Teresa with the U. S. Air Force in Japan; three daughters, Mrs. Teri and husband, Darrol Johnson of Othello, Mrs. Ronda and husband Ed Scott of Bellingham and Mrs. Sheila and husband Brian Ensign of Lynden; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Milton Erickson of Holyoke, Minn., five sisters, Mrs. Ilene Foren and Mrs. Betty Jean Crawley, both of Prairie Grove, Ark., Mrs. Winifred Robideau of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Thelma Herringshaw of Madras, Ore., and Mrs. Frances Thomas of Medford, Ore.; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mae Warren of Oklahoma City, Okla. a sister-in-law, Mrs. Pat and husband B. ERICKSON, Sanna, age 86 of 2010 30th Street passed away in the Monroe Hospital in Monroe, Wash., Wednesday, July 20, (1966). Mrs. Erickson had been a resident for the past 60 years and was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church. She is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Laina Jonason of Sultan, Wash. and Mrs. Esther Cole of Idaho Falls, Ida. One grandson and one brother, John Luoma of Hibbing, Minn. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home, with Rev. Raymond Pfleuger officiating. Interment Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Lawrence.
ERICKSON, Sorine R., age 74, of 1774 Kline Road, passed away in Bellingham, Wednesday, September 28, (1955). Mrs. Erickson had resided in Whatcom County for the past 48 years, was a member of the Lutheran Church, the Home Economics Club, Whatcom County Dairymen's association, and the Washington Co-Op. Surviving relatives include her husband, Andrew and one son, Clarence at home; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Leach of Seattle; three brothers and three sisters in Denmark; numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. E. M. Butenshon, Monday, October 3, at 1:30 p.m. Interment Greenacres Memorial Park.
ERICKSON, Stanley Wayne, 44, died Thursday, October 30th (1997) in a commercial fishing accident. He was born August 2, 1953 to Joyce and the late Warner Erickson in Bellingham. He graduated from Bellingham High School and married his high school sweetheart Lori Ann Lind. He dedicated his life to his beloved family and his successful commercial fishing enterprises. He is survived by his wife Lori and children Lindsay, Jillian and Timothy Erickson, all of the family home; his mother Joyce Gienger and stepfather Elias Gienger of Bellingham; family members Nadean and William Meyer of Spokane, Margaret and Martin Brotnov of Bellingham, Sharon and Wayne Posey of Lynnwood, Harvey and Mary Erickson of Kent, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by parent-in-law Don and Margaret Lind of Bellingham; sisters-in-law Lisa and husband Don Anderson, Susan and husband Forest Metcalfe and brother-in-law David Lind, all of Bellingham. Stan had a big heart and a generous soul, and will be remembered by his family and many friends with great love and respect. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 1997 at the new Birchwood Presbyterian Church located at the far north end of Cordata Parkway. A gathering for family and friends will follow the service at Northwood Community Hall, 3240 Northwest Ave. Jones-Moles Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
ERICKSON, Theodore William "Ted" age 64 of Edmonds, passed away Oct. 16, 1986. He was born Jan. 1, 1922 in Dawson, Yukon Territory, Canada. He was a retired Master Mariner & a member of the Masters, Mates & Pilots Union for 40 yrs. He is survived by his wife, Jean of Edmonds; son & daughter-in-law, John & Kim Erickson & granddaughter Jennifer all of B'ham. Services will be Mon., 11 a.m. in the chapel of Becks Funeral Home, Edmonds.
ERICKSON, Victor, age 66, of 1553 Meridian Road, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, September 16, (1953). Mr. Erickson had resided in this community for the past 40 years and had been employed at the Berg Shipyard in Blaine for the past few years. Deceased was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Shipwright's Union, and leaves to survive his widow, Anna L., at home; three daughters, Mrs. John Hamilton, of Bellingham, Mrs. Hilda Moultray, of Sunnyside, and Mrs. Ruth Pizer, of Silver Springs, Maryland; one son, John Erickson, of Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren; one brother, Wilhelm Erickson, of Duluth, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Ida Aho in Finland. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Elvin S. Hansen, Tuesday, September 22, at 1 p.m. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.
ERICKSON, Virginia Bowen - Memorial service for Virginia Bowen Erickson, age 80 of 3127 Coolidge Drive will be Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. in Geneva Community Church, Cremation Greenacres Crematorium. Mrs. Erickson passed away Friday, January 14, 1983 following a brief illness. Virginia was born August 30, 1902 in Willimantic, Connecticut, the 3rd of 5 children of Everett A. & Jennie Stetson Bowen. She received her early schooling in Providence, Rhode Island and Middleboro, Mass., and graduated from Framingham State Normal School, Framingham, Mass. in 1923. She taught Home Economics in the Worcester, Mass. schools prior to her marriage to Carl A. Erickson, an Engineer for the State of New York. She had lived in Bellingham since 1953. Prior to retirement she served as a Resident Director at WWU for several years. She had been an active member of the Geneva Community Church, the Monday Club, the Wycliffe Bible Translators Prayer Group, and served for many years as the Decorations Chairman of the Firs Women's Luncheons. She is survived by 1 daughter, Dr. Judith B. Erickson of St. Paul, Minn.; 2 sisters, Carolyn Bowen of Seattle; Jeanette B. White of Wilimantic, Conn.; 2 brothers, Maurice S. Bowen & Richard G. Bowen, both of Whittier, N. C.; numerous nieces & nephews.
ERICKSON, Wendla E., age 87 of 1307 McKenzie St., passed away in a local rest home Saturday, August 30, (1975). She had been a resident of Bellingham since 1910. Surviving are a daughter Mildred E. Johnson, a son Carl A. Erickson, a grandson Jim E. Johnson, a brother Emil Sundback, all of Bellingham; a sister Edla Haltia, of Henryetta, Oklahoma, also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in Veroske's Bellingham Chapel Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Duane Thompson officiating. Burial in Greenacres memorial park.
ERICKSON, William E., age 55, of 2463 Hilltop Road, Ferndale, died Feb. 8, 1991 at home. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on Feb. 8, 1936. He lived in Anchorage, AK prior to moving to Ferndale 9 years ago. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Ferndale; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #191 of Bellingham; the Instrument Society of America; Puget Sound Antique Tractor & Machinery Ass'n of Whatcom County. Mr. Erickson worked for Puget Power as a Lead Technician at the Point Whitehorn facility for eight years. He served 8 years in the U. S. Naval Reserves. He married Bernice E. "Bunny" Britton in July 1958 in Las Vegas, NV, who survives him. Also surviving him are daughters, Sharon Madero and Kristin Erickson of Ferndale; son, Timothy Erickson and Lilli of Eagle River, AK and Thomas Erickson of Blaine; 4 grandchildren, Jessica & Brandon Madero of Ferndale; Britton & Lauren Erickson of Eagle River, AK; mother Margaret M. Erickson of Rialto, CA; a brother, Robert Erickson of Locust Grove, VA; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Eric Ranum officiating. Cremation was by Greenacres Crematorium.
ERICKSON, Wilmer C., age 64 of 354 Pacific Hiway South, passed away Aug. 25, (1975). A Bellingham resident for the past 4 years, Mr. Erickson was a retired painter and a member of William Mathews Post No. 1585, VFW. Surviving 2 sisters, Mrs. Arlene Dibble of Bellingham, and Mrs. Edna Larion of Monmouth, Oregon. 1 brother, Norman Erickson, Seattle and his sister in law, Mrs. Madeline Erickson. Funereal services Friday Aug. 29 at 1 p.m., Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Cordell Baker officiating. Interment Bay View Cemetery.
