A son, L. Adams of Seattle and Mrs. Clement, with whom she lived. We, the members of the Congregational church, of which she was a member, desire to testify to the personal worth of our dear friend and sister. Until within a few weeks of her death she was generally seen at church and often at the Ladies Aid Society of which she was an active member. She was always ready at all times, when ever an opportunity was presented to assist and do for others., ever thoughtful of the sick and ready to sympathize with the poor and unfortunate, as with the more blessed. Her husband, with whom she lived for over fifty years, was called to the "betterland" five years before her and she was waiting partially for the time to come when her Heaavenly Father would call her to pass "over on the other side" She was a devoted wife and mother, always true and tender and making Christ her central object. At the last her greatest fear was that she would live to be a burden and care to her children. Resolved, That the removal of Sister Adams from our society leaves a vacancy and a shadow that is deeply realized by all. 7-29-1898 Mrs. Adams, mother of Mrs. Jos.(Teresa) Clement died at the home of her daughter on Wednesday evening.
