Death late yesterday afternoon closed a period of eight years of suffering for
B. L. KAASTRUP, who after his long battle, succumbed to Bright's disease in
Providence hospital. The death of the well known man has been anticipated for at
least two weeks, for his physician extended no hope. The deceased had been a
resident of this city nineteen years, and held membership in the Masonic, Woodmen of
the World and Eagles lodges. He was 42 years of age and unmarried.
For several years "Mose" KAASTRUP, as he was generally known, was employed by
Chris KULMBASCH. Recently he operated a billiard hall and confectionary store on
the viaduct near Broadway. The funeral under auspices of the Masons, will be held
Sunday afternoon at 2 from Jerread's chapel, with Rev. R. B. HASSELL officiating.
