   Oliver EASTMAN, one of the Grand Army men, who for a long time sold fruit at the 
Northern Pacific depot and was therefore well known to the public, died from heart 
failure at his home on Lincoln street last night.  He was 66 years old, a native of 
New York and had resided here nine years.  He was a member of the First Michigan 
light artillery.  The time for the funeral has not been set, pending word from a 
brother  in Minnesota and a half brother in Iowa.  He leaves five sons.

   The funeral of Peter EIDEM will be held from Challacombe's chapel Sunday at 1:15, 
Rev. EDWARDS officiating.  Mr. EIDEM was a member of the Modern Woodmen, Norwegian 
society, and Moose.  Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

Dr. Harvey L. Eldridge, 77, of 708 First Street, died October 12 after an illness of 
two years duration. Dr. Eldredge was born in Boston, Ma, October 1, 1868 and had 
lived in Snohomish 39 years. He was a member of Snohomish Lodge No 12, IOOF, and 
attended the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two cousins, Mrs. Emma Fraser of 
Boston and H.M. Eldridge of Bucksport, Me. Funeral services will be announced later 
by the Purdy & Hall Funeral Home. 

(Dr. Eldridge is buried at Snohomish G.A.R. cemetery.)

   George N. EMERY, aged 36, died at his home, 4024 Hoyt, this morning, after a 
lingering illness.  He leaves a wife and four children.  The funeral will be held 
from Challacombe's chapel Sunday at 2:30 under the auspices of the Odd Fellows.

   The funeral of Geo. EMERY will be held from Challacombe's at 2:30 Sunday, Rev. 
REESE officiating at the chapel and the I. O. O. F lodge at the cemetery.  He was a 
member of the carpenters union.  Internment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Three Loggers, Employed in Three Different Camps, 
Victims of Accidents Almost Identical

Victor ERICKSON, while working for Healey & Cobb, loading logs on the cars about 5 
p.m. yesterday, was hit by a swinging log, and fatally wounded.  He died an hour 
later.

This morning, a man named Gustavsen, working at Stimson's logging camp No. 2, was 
caught by a sliding log that broke five ribs and his back.  He will die.

Another man named Homer Cole was hurt at Stimson's camp No. 4 yesterday in the same 
way, and died at the Everett hospital last night.

December 12, 1910

   F. W. FISKE, a resident of Clinton, died last evening at the age of 59 years. He 
leaves a wife and four children.  Death was due to dropsy.  The funeral will be held 
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Clinton, under the direction of Maulsby & Sons.

	William Forrest, 70, of 402 Ave. E, Snohomish, died Sept. 2, after a lingering 
illness.

	At the family's request, no services will be held.  Inurnment will be in the 
Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Bauer Funeral Chapel, Snohomish.

   Frederick FORSE, a single man, aged 50, who died in the Everett hospital 
yesterday, was buried this afternoon from Jerread's chapel.  The deceased has a 
sister residing in Seattle.

Mrs. Luther Fox Dies After Long Illness

Mary E. Fox, wife of Luther Fox of Park Place passed away at the Aldercrest 
sanitarium on Tuesday night of this week.  Mary Roberts was born in Monroe, February 
27, 1884, and was 43 years old at the time of her death.  Her illness dates back 
several years.  When her condition became serious, she went to Aldercrest in the hope
that she migh recover and again be able to take her place with her family.  Such 
however was not to be.  Mrs. Fox was a patient sufferer throughout all her long 
illness and died calmly and with hope of a future life beyond the grave.

She leaves to mourn her passing  her aged mother, Mrs. Mary Roberts of Park Place, 
two sisters, a brother, four children, Robert, Lester, Raymond and Queen and her 
husband, all at home.

The Monitor with many friends here where she was born and reared extend sympathy to 
the bereaved husband, children and other relatives.

The funeral is in charge of Purdy and Sons, and will be held from the Purdy chapel 
tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.  Rev. P. H. Raymond of Mount Vernon will preach the funeral 
sermon.

The following are to act as pall-bearers:  George Lyons, Stanley Louden, Emerson 
Louden, John Ren, Lenord Watson, Victor Orr.

   The funeral of Asel FRANKLIN will take place from the First Methodist church 
tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.  A special car will be provided for the use of 
friends of the family.  Members of old "Class Number Nine" of the Methodist Sunday 
school of which young FRANKLIN was a member, will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Jane Freeman died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Vine, on 
the Lake Roesiger road, after a brief illness. Mrs. Freeman was about 60 years old 
and is survived by one daughter Mrs. Vine. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 
2 p.m. at the C.H. Bakeman chapel the Rev. Mr. Gillott officiating. Internment will 
be in I.O.O.F. cemetery.
