Shelly Mitchell---WHITTLER--March 22, 2006

I am in search of any thing on Mark Whittler from friend, family or anyone.  He was a resident of Pacific county for most of his life.  I also heard he was in the service for a while. He died in a auto accident August 29, 1988 and is buried in Menlo's Fern Hill Cemetery.  I've been told he worked in the woods for many years and enjoyed the social life.  Please if anyone could give me any information on him let me know.

Doris Curry--BOTTOM/STRONG/BOZORTH--March 25, 2006

I am searching for any information on Martin Bottom. I located him in the 1900 census living in the Ilwaco Precinct, Pacific County, Washington. It appears he was living in a rooming house and was employed in the logging industry. His occupation was listed as hook tender. This is the only information I've found of him since the 1880 census.

Martin was born about 1869 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon and I believe his birth name was Samuel Martin Bottom. His parents were Joel W. Bottom and Frances Elizabeth Strong. It appears Frances died shortly after Martin's birth as Joel remarried and moved to Clatsop County, Oregon where he died. Frances's parents were Solomon Strong and Mary Ann Bozorth as far as I can determine.

Merilee Kleiber--CHRISTY--April 16,2007

I researching the Christy family tree and amd looking for William Layafette Christy br. in 1867, Wayne Co. Iowa and died July 9 1955. His wife was Myrtle Alexander Christy. They have several children, Myrtle M, Loyal , Donald, Joy. I know Joy died in 1965 in Pacific Co. I have a few pictures of all of them when the children were small. I would like any information about him or the family.

Susan Pukall--GEHRMAN--August 6, 2007

I am researching the name GEHRMAN. The family moved from Wisconsin to the Willapa Valley region in the 1890s. The Mike Gehrman family settled at Frances, WA, working at a logging camp, and later had a farm at Elk Prairie. Mike's father, Jacob Gehrman, settled at Centralia (is that Pacific or Lewis county?) Jacob and his wife, Augusta, are buried at the Catholic church in Frances. Mike's brothers, John and Jacob, are believed to have settled around the same area. Jacob Jr. died in Centralia in 1949.

Joseph Meadows--KLEEB--September 18, 2007

I am searching for any information related to Pacific County residents with the last name of Kleeb. I am particularly interested in John Kleeb, who was involved in the lumber business from about 1900 forward and was also a state senator representing Pacific County from 1915-1917. I believe either his wife or sister was name Blanche Kleeb and he had an uncle Otto Kleeb and nephew John. M. Kleeb. Any information about any Kleebs would be appreciated. Thanks

Tynley Bean--MILLS--October 2, 2007

Edna Jeanette Mills is supposed to have been born on 31 May 1896 (I've seen 30 May, as well) in Pacific, Pacific, Washington.  Parents, Ira Ammon Mills (born in Oregon) and Ruth Woodbury (born in Minnesota).

I've found Edna in the 1900 Census in Seattle City, King, Washington (under her parents), which verifies the May 1896 birth date.  Ideally, I'd like to get  an image of a birth record, but I'm not sure how to go about that.

Susan Comstock--HANSON/HANSEN/THOMPSON--May 19, 2008

I am looking for any and all information on my great-great grandmother and her descendants. Suzanne Frantz--KNICKERBOCKER--June 19, 2008

I am interested in the family of Charles Alton Knickerbocker, who died in Ilwaco 23 June 1932.  His wife was Alverda and their daughters were Bertha, Hazel, Grace, Ruth and Edith.  If there is an obituary for Charles, and a cemetery for him and Alverda, I would very much like to have this information.

Charles Alton Knickerbocker was born in Armada, Macomb County, Michigan, in 1866.  I do not know his wife's maiden name but it appears they did not marry in Michigan.  I research my husband's family, the Knickerbockers of Macomb County, Michigan.  Thank you for any assistance.

Richard Hope--SCOTT--June 19, 2008

I am trying to find information on my Great Uncle & his family Chester & Ila Scott, They were married in 1915  in Snohomish County, they were in King County in 1916 & 1917 (both sons born there), then in South Bend, Pacific County in the 1920 census. Then nothing on any of them except I found a death record for Ila dated March of 1920 in South Bend. No further records have been found of Chester or their 2 sons.

Robert Ortega--GREENMAN--June 29, 2008

I'm looking for information about Sylvester P. Greenman.  Sylvester was an younger brother of my 3rd Great Grandfather DeWitt C. Greenman.  He was born in New York about 1851 and lived in Oysterville, Pacific County, Washington at the time of his death in 1888.  At this point, the only other things I know about Sylvester was that he worked as an Oystermen and Deputy Sheriff in Pacific County.

Martin W. Hendrix--HILDING--September 8, 2008

I am doing research on the Hilding family of Landskrona and have traced two members of the family to South Bend .  Matilda Sophia Hilding immigrated in 1893 and her brother Olof Hilding immigrated in 1910.

My great grandfather Håkan Nilsson Hilding was a half brother to Matilda and Olof.  Håkan’s father, Nils Nilsson, died when Håkan was 14 months old.  His mother, Elisabeth Henricsdotter, married Jöns Pålsson in 1861, Matilda and Olof are children from this marriage.

I would be interested in communicating with members of the family that might still be living in southern Washington .  I can share many documents DLed from the Geneline Parish records.

Pamela Fisher--JONES--January 31, 2009

I am searching for information on my ancestor, Phemie Wiley Jones (born 1872 in Cowlitz County). On the 1900 census she was living in Ilwaco. She had five daughters all with the last name Jones, between 1892 and 1901. I am searching for birth info on the daughters and marriage information re Jones.

Dan Forrest--SILER/LESTER--July 14, 2010

I am looking for any information on Jacob Siler and family - Mr. Siler started the first sawmill in Raymond in 1903 and had some other business interests over the years both in Pacific and Lewis county as well as one in Oregon.

I am also looking for any information on Edward Henry (E.H.) Lester who logged in Pluvious and Ashlock between 1910 and 1915. He then moved to Montesano and Vesta in Grays Harbor county and was taken over by Saginaw Timber in 1919.
