Mary Huss---HIRSCHEY---February 4, 2004
I just found that my grandmother's half brother, Moses Henri Hirschey born June 29, 1867, lived in the Chinook, Washington and died August 9, 1936 isburied at Ilwaco Cemetery in Ilwaco, WA, Pacific County. On the 42-page listing of the people buried there, Moses is listed as: Moses H. Herschy1867 - 1936. There is also a Henry Moses listed who died 2/23/1987; his ashes were set at sea. Could this have been a son of Moses? There is aPaulina Herschy listed who died the same day as Henry Moses and who also was cremated. Could this be Mose’s daughter-in-law. There was also a JosephHerschy listed who also died in 1936 and a Henry Herschy with no dates. I didn't think Moses had married. I am looking for descendents of Moses Henri. Also, I'm wondering if the spelling of Herschy is deliberate or a mistake as the family name is Hirschey. Also Moses Henri Hirschey had a sister, named Lena, Lucia or Lina whose married name was Raiser. She lived in Chinook, Washington. I just found her married name in her mother's obituary and am trying to find out her husband's name, whether she had any children and their names and any living descendants whom I could share our family history with.

I am searching for a birth record for an Earl DAHLMAN who was born in February 1892 in South Bend, Washington. His parents were Martin DAHLMAN and Lorene or Lorena (unknown last name). I'm hoping there is a birth record that someone might check. Martin was my great-grandfather. His eldest daughter from his first marriage was my grandmother. I'd appreciate any help someone might be able to give me. I can be reached at thaan@aol.com.
