John married Emma Caroline Olson on August 30, 1908. He filed a declaration of intention to become a naturalized citizen in August 1908, and filed the petition for naturalization on October 1, 1920. John passed away at the age of 74 on January 11, 1959 in Centerville, WA. He is buried in Block F, Lot 3.00, Space 4.
