Berg, Minerva | 12-21-1846 | 05-17-1930 | Klickitat Pioneer Passes (Research & Link by Jeffrey Elmer) Minerva [Silcox] Berg wa born on December 21, 1846 to Delva [Souther] and Andrew Silox. She married Thomas McGrath in Missouri. The Berg family settled in Klickitat County in the Camas Prairie in 1882. They had seven children. Thomas passed away in 1893. Minerva married once again in 1895. Her husband's name was August Berg. He died in 1904. Minerva passed away May 17, 1930 in Washougal, Clark, WA. |

Ora Garver Castle (or more commonly seen) "Garver O. Castle" was born in Floyd County, Virginia on August 10, 1884. When he was ten years of age, the Castle family settled in Glenwood.
He married Annie Shannahan on December 9, 1927 in Vancouver, Clark County, WA.
Their children included John and Elizabeth. Garver passed away at home near Lyle on

He was the son of Lucinda [Till] and Noah Chapman. He married to Malita (Molita) Poehlman ((Pochlemann?) on February 9, 1903 in Glenwood. According to WA Death Records, Guy passed away on August 22, 1938 in Seattle, WA. He is buried in Lot 30 Block 2. (A great saga by Guy's brother Cody (Courtland W. Chapman) is available online) |

Hans Henningsen was born in Germany on December 8, 1857 to Mr. and Mrs. Detlef Henningsen. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 14, and settled in Glenwood in 1877. On July 8, 1884, Hans married
Catharina Tams. The Henningsen family evenually settled in Seaside, Oregon, where Hans died on October 30, 1938 [Researcher Note: Although the Seaside Signal cited the 10th of October as the date of death, the Oregon Death Index cites the 30th. The newspaper publishing date was November 3, 1938, which would have been more consistent with the 30th. And, finally, the 11th was a Tuesday, while the 30th was a Sunday. The newspaper stated he died on a Sunday evening.] |
