Some information
about the time period, if you didn't know this
already:
If Mr. Elliot served Charleston from 1909 to 1919, he saw
the school district go from one school to five:
CENTRAL, NAVY YARD CITY, NAVAL AVENUE, PHINNEY BAY,
and HILLCREST.
Washington Junior High was added in the early
20s, but no others until WWII.
