Idaho and lived in the Tri-Cities 34 years. She owned a business that escorted "oversized loads" on highways;
was a member of the Kennewick VFW Auxiliary; Kennewick Eagles Auxiliary; American Disabled Veterans Auxiliary;
Military Order of the Cootes. Survivors include husband Ivan "Pete" Quigley; daughters Margaret Webb, and Cathy
Strong, all Finley; sons Richard Clark, Kellogg, Idaho, Peter Quigley, Seattle; nine grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in the Finley Baptist Church. Memorials may be

Mrs. Martha G. Quasebarth, 80, a longtime Grandview resident, died Monday at
her daughter's home on Camino Island, Wash. She was born in Hamilton, Iowa, and moved to Grandview in 1948.
Her husband, Edward Quasebarth died in 1954. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was active in
the Grandview Golden Age Club. Survivors include daughters, Eileen Lybyer, Grandview and Maxine Root,
Camano Island; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ben Lyman, Dailey, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were 2:30 p.m. today in the Grandview Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Lundy officiating. Burial
followed in the Kolerlawn Cemetery, Nampa, Idaho, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Grandview.

Roderic S. Richards passed away at the Lady of Lourdes hospital in Pasco July 29. He was born at Altoona, Ill., May 8, 1873.
He was married to Tillie Rauscher of Kennewick June 19, 1939.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter and two sons by a former marriage: Virdeen Fleisher of Redwood City, Calif., John B. of Kennewick, and Lloyd A. of Oakland, Calif. Also one granddaughter, Barbara, of Kennewick.
He has been a member of the Odd Felows lodge for 50 years. He came to the Kennewick area 40 years ago and worked as a barber for 45 years.
Funeral services were held July 31 at the Mueller Funeral chapel with the Rev. John Kopp of the Baptist church officiating. Interment was made at Riverview Heights cemetery with the Odd Fellows lodge holding graveside services.

Roy Wesley Ransier, 74, Pasco, died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in La Center, and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1928.
He was a writeup man for Burlington Northern Railroad where he worked for 46 years retiring in 1976; member of Carmen of America; Burlington Northern Veterans Association; Railroad Senior Citizens; and former member of the Moose.
Survivors include wife Ameretta; daughters Sandra Sanquist, Tacoma, Jo Ann Strandring, Richland, Lucille Salazar, Kennewick, Hazel Rhode, Kennewick, Carolyn Ryman, Florida; sons Frank Laird and Louis Kendall, both San Francisco; brothers Lester Ransier, Goldendale, Norman Ransier, Camas; sisters Nettie Sheldon, Forest Grove, Ore., Alice Arnold, Florida, Etta Huttson, Mabton, 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Humphrey Ross Jr. age 68 of Pasco died Sunday, November 15, 1992, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wa. He was born on March 16, 1924, in Troup, Texas, to Humphrey and Carrie Jackson Ross.
At age 16 Humphrey joined the C.C. Camp, and in 1941 he served as an MP and then later became a master sargeant in the U.S. Army. In 1949, he moved to the Tri-Cities and worked in construction building bridges and had even worked on some of the local dams. Humphrey loved people in general and did many great favors for people with a smile. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie F. Ross of Pasco; adopted daughter Betty S. Mauldin DeJesus of Pasco; grandson Michael Ross of Oakland, Ca; godson Mitchell Barnes of Pasco; brother Alvin Ross of Denver, Co sister LeDell White of Barstow, Ca; and Nathalie Ross of Troup, Tx, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Humphrey was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, Benny Ross, Elvora Smith, Ruth Prince and LT. Ross, and a son, Robert Lee Ross.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 1992, at 1:00 p.m. at Greeenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W Court, Pasco. Burial will be at Columbia Memorial Gardens Pasco. Visitations will be welcome on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Greenlee Funeral Home.

Ameretta Easbey Laird Ransier completed the most important journey of her life August 5, 1998 at her home in Pasco. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 10, 1998, at Bruce Lee Memorial Chapel, 2804 West Lewis, in Pasco. Ameretta was born January 14, 1912, to Charles and Kathryn Easbey in Chinook, Montana. She was the seventh child born in a family of twelve children. Ameretta was married to Bert Laird for 26 years. They brought their family from Walla Walla to Pasco in 1943. They had four children. Ameretta married Roy Ransier in February 28, 1970. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Kennewick General Hospital until retiring in 1977. Ameretta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. During her 55 years in the Tri-City area, she was a member of First Christian Churches in Pasco and Kennewick. She also attended the Ascension Lutheran Church in Kennewick. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann Standring and husband Alfred, Richland, Hazel Rhode and husband James, Kennewick, and Lucille Salazar and husband Johnny, Kennewick; a brother, Fremont Easby and wife Helen, Helena, Mont.; three sisters, Alice Whitmere, Helena, Mont.; L. Mrs. Emilie Richter, aged 82 years, passed away August 4, 1946, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Williams in Kennewick.
She was born in Germany in 1864 and came to the United States with her parents when one year old. The family lived in Wisconsin a number of years, then moved to Renville, Minn., where she met Herman Richter whom she married in 1884. She and her husband lived in Milbank, So. Dak., and in 1902 moved to Latah, Wash. In 1906 they came to Richland where they made their home.
To their union were born 11 children, with four daughters and one son surviving her. They are Mrs. R.T. Hadley, Mrs. E.E. Hinkle and Mrs. Ray Williams of Kennewick, Mrs. Guy Tedrick of Butte Falls, Ore., and Ben Richter of Rosalia, Wash. Also surviving are one sister, two brothers 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Evangelic church. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, Aug. 7, at the Mueller Chapel with Rev. J.B. Coan in charge.

Prosser - John David Rupert Jr., 24, of 1832 Highland Drive was killed instantly Sunday in a traffic accident north of Prosser.
He was born in Prosser and was a Vietnam war veteran, member of the First Baptist Church and Captain Green Post No. 20 of the American Legion.
Survivors include his father John D. Rupert; mother Mrs. Oveta Hicks; stepfather Lawrence Hicks; brother Roy A. Ruppert and sisters Mrs. Gail Davis all of Prosser.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Martin's Crestview Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul White officiating. Military services will be conducted by Capt. Green Post in East Prosser Cemetery.

Michael Kiernan Reilly, 48, of 663 N Sheppard St., Kennewick, a quality assurance engineer, died Monday at his home.
He was born in Deluth, Minn., and lived in Vashon Island from 1948 until 1972 before moving to the Tri-Cities 11 years ago.
He worked at Hanford and Marble Hills, Ind. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the American Nuclear Society, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and was a past member of Vashon Island Jaycees. He graduated from Vashon Island High School in 1952 and attended the University of Washington.
Survivors include wife Marjorie; sons Steve Reilly, Yakima, Pat Reilly, Kennewick; daughter Suzanne Reilly, Kennewick; mother Esther Reilly, Port Townsend; sister Helen Brink, Port Townsend; and two grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 pm today in Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home. Mass is scheduled at 11 am Thursday in St Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Washington State Heart Association in care of Mrs. Verner Miller, 620 S Vancouver St., Kennewick.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 7 pm today and 9 am until 10 am Thursday.

Clarence J. Rupp, 85, former owner and operator of the Bickleton Club, died Tuesday in Walnut Grove Nursing Home, Grandview.
He was born in Dundee, Minn., and lived in Bickleton since 1965.
He married Leota Lamb in 1920 and moved to Clear Lake, where she died in 1950.
He was a member of Meat Cutters Union for many years. In 1968 he married Myrtle Mains in Bickleton.
Survivors include wife Myrtle; sons Denton Rupp, Sedro Wooley, Douglas Rupp, Bickleton; daughter Ramona Rich, Boring, Ore.; stepdaughters Edith Porter, Renton, Nona Durden, Anchorage, Alaska, Mary Mains, Seattle; stepsons, Daniel Mains, Goldendale, Charles Mains, Puyallup, George Mains, Roosevelt, Mark Mains, Bellevue; brother Paul Rupp, Prosser, Floyd Rupp, Escondido, Calif.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

John David Rupert, a lifetime resident of Prosser, entered into rest Wednesday, August 6, 1997 at the Prosser Memorial Nursing Home at the age of 81 years.
John was born September 18, 1915 in Prosser, the first child born to Benjamin Franklin and Elsie Maude Tipler Rupert.
John attended school in Prosser and then joined the US Army. He served in the European Theatre during WWII.
Returning from the Army, John worked as a construction painter, working at Hanford and various jobs on the West Coast. He later worked as a painter for the Prosser School District, retiring in the mid 1970s.
Mr. Rupert was an avid stamp collector, enjoyed reading and his dogs and was a very active sportman, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Rupert was a life member of the American Legion, serving as the 12th District Commander, the State Department Vice Commander, State Commander of the Military Order of the Cootie and also the 40 & 8, and a life member of the VFW, where he was commander of both the Legion and VFW the same year. He was also a member of the Euclid Masonic Lodge 125 F&AM and was a past member of the Eagles and the Elks.
John is survived by his daughter, Beverly Gail March and his son, Roy Allen Rupert both of Prosser, also his 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his sister, Dorthy S. Friend of Yakima and his brother, Arthur E. Rupert of Prosser and his 2 nieces and numerous nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Rupert was preceded in death by his son, John David Rupert Jr., and a brother, Frank Rupert.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 12, 1997, at 11:00 a.m. at the Prosser Cemetery conducted by the joint Prosser Veterans. The family suggest those wishing may make memorials to the Prosser Scholarship Fund.

HERMISTON - Leonore Emma Ross, 94, died Monday in Good Samaritan Center, Hermiston.
She was born in Bogota, Ill., and moved to Stanfield in 1990.
She had worked at Emanuel Hosptial, Baptist Home, Oddfellows Home and Beaver Cloak and Suit Co, all in Portland.

Keith Bunot Roberts, 42, of 6024 53rd Ave., N. E., Seattle, and formerly of Richland, died Thursday.
He graduated from Columbia High School, Richland, in 1948 and was active in sports. He was a dentist and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon).
