Services for Agnes D. Green, 59, of 700 N Main, Milton-Freewater, Ore., who died Thursday, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, Milton-Freewater, with the Rev. Norman Barley officiating.

Mrs. D.C. Gibbs Dies—Body Shipped to Old Home in Iowa for Burial—Had Many Friends in Kennewick
Mrs. D.C. Gibbs of Pasco, died at the hospital in Sprague last Saturday following a short illness and an operation. Her body accompanied by Mr. Gibbs and her sister Miss Jessie Yelland, was shipped Tuesday for burial in her old home at Sheffield, Ia.
Mrs. Gibbs, formerly Miss Myra Yelland, was well known in Kennewick where she made her home several years before her marriage. She came to Kennewick about seven years ago and for some time had charge of the dressmaking department of H.M. Ashbaugh's store, until three years ago when she was married to D.C. Gibbs. She formerly made her home with her uncle, R.A. Oliver, in Section Seven. She leaves a 2-year-old son.
A message was received here Friday stating that Mrs. D.C. Gibbs had breathed her last that morning. Her death was caused by goiter.
Mr. Gibbs returned to Pasco and arranged his affairs for an extended absence, and, returning to Sprague, accompanied the remains to Sheffield, Iowa, where the interment takes place Saturday.
Mrs. Gibbs was 35 years of age, was born in Wisconsin, but spent the greater part of her life at Sheffield, Iowa, where her parents now live. Her marriage to Mr. Gibbs occurred at Spokane three years ago, and one child, a boy now two years old, has blessed this wedlock.
Of a genial, happy temperament, Mrs. Gibbs attracted and held the affection of those she came in touch with, and in Pasco, where she had lived less than three years, her untimely passing is sincerely mourned by a wide circle of friends.
Mr. Gibbs may remain in Iowa the greater part of the winter. The loss of his helpmate came as a cruel blow to him and he has the utmost sympathy of his associate here.

Service for Albert Monroe Grigg, 72, of 807 W. Park St., Pasco who died Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bruce Lee Funeral Home with Rector William Miller officating. Burial will be in City View Cemetery with graveside services by Pasco Lodge 173 F&AM.

Cora Berry Gower, 93, formerly of 930 W Park St., Pasco, died Tuesday in Hillcrest Convalescent Center.
She was born in Springfield, Mo., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1948.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons Alvin Gower, Pasco, Barney Gower, Pasco, James Gower, Moses Lake; daughter Laural Taulbee, Pasco; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Claude Berry, Stroud, Okla.; sister Myrtle Brown, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Beulah Hulsey, Montebello, Calif.

Lottie Mae (Barnes) Galloway, 90, of 2004 N 22nd Ave., Pasco, died Thursday in Hillcrest Convalescent Center.
She was born in Elmwood, Mo., and moved to Touchet in 1904 and lived there and in Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla areas before moving to Pasco in 1923.
She was a member of the Touchet Grange; Touchet Ladies Aide; and Pasco First Methodist Church.
Her husband Elven Galloway died in 1982.
Survivors include daughters Elaine Hatfield, Pasco, Hazel Mahan, Pasco, Opal Baker, Richland; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Bruce Lee Memorial Chapel.

Dale S. Galloway, died at his home in Yacolt, Wash., December 23, 1987. He was 79 years of age. He had been a longtime resident of Pasco. He was born August 6, 1908, in Touchet, Wash.
During the war years he had lived in Vancouver and he returned to the Pasco area in 1952. He worked for George Grant Construction.
His wife, Doris, preceded him in death in 1982. Survivors include a son, Dale II, Yacolt, Wash., 5 daughters, Janice Berg, Cougar, Wash., Joanne Nyback, Yacolt, Carolyn Gebhardt, Battle Ground, Wash., Colleen Maier, Grand Coulee, Wash., and Kathleen Rudolph, Pasco, a sister Berdina Mitchell, Corvallis, Ore., 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, December 28, 1987, in Yacolt with burial following in the Yacolt Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 1105 Rd. 36, Pasco, January 2, 1988, at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to HOSPICE, Box 1600, Vancouver, Wash. 98666

Alvin William Gower, a longtime Pasco resident, passed away March 28, 1996 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Pasco.
Alvin was born in Lincoln County, Okla., March 20, 1911 to Thomas W. and Cora Gower.
He was raised on the family farm, graduating from high school in Kendrick, Oklahoma, and from Central State College, Edmond, Okla.
He married Mildred Hamilton in 1933 in Kendrick. Alvin and Mildred taught in various schools in Oklahoma before moving to Pasco in 1946.
He retired from the Pasco School District in 1970 after 36 years in the teaching profession.
Alvin was preceded by his wife of 52 years, sister, Laurel Taulbee, and son, Jerry M. Gower.
He is survived by sons, Johnny K. Gower and wife, Barbara of Pasco, Jimmy D. Gower and wife, Janice A. of Fairbanks, Alaska; brothers, Barney E. Gower and wife, Florence of Pasco; James L. Gower and wife, Helen of Moses Lake; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; niece, Yvonne Taulbee, and nephew, B. DeWayne Gower, and special friend, Floy Nichols of Kennewick.
Alvin was a Mason for 50 years and a charter member of the Pasco Lewis and Clark Masonic Lodge 301. He also spent several years as father adviser and other capacities for the Pasco DeMolays.
He was active in the Pasco Senior Citizens Center and the Eagles, Retired Teachers Organization and AARP.
He enjoyed collecting antiques, attending auctions, repairing furniture, dancing, playing cards, keeping in touch with former students, maintaining the family home and acreage in west Pasco on a small subdivision he developed.
Family, friends and neighbors will no doubt recall his fondness for relating memories of summer harvest in the Midwest, pipelining, oil field work, the homestead in Montana, the initial construction of Hanford and his teaching experiences.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 1996, at 1 p.m. in the First Christian Church, N 16th and West Marie, Pasco, WA. Graveside services will be at City View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 2, from the hours of 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Bruce Lee Memorial Chapel, 2804 W. Lewis St., Pasco, Wash.

Alda R. (Graybeal) Gaines, was born on Oct. 27, 1910, in Salem, Ore., to Arthur and Inez Fleming and passed away on December 17, 2005, at Pasco, WA.
In 1935, Alda married William E. Graybeal. They lived for 37 years in Irrigon, Oregon. In 1970, she moved to Walla Walla, WA., to be near her husband, who was then a patient at the VA Hospital. Mr. Graybeal passed away in 1972. She later met, and married, Jack E. Gaines, in 1978. They made their home in Richland, WA. Pastor Gaines passed away March 12, 2000.
While in Irrigon, she was involved with the Home Extension Program as well as being a 4-H leader. Alda was an excellent cook, and it was the highlight of her year to win blue ribbons at the Marrow County Fair in Boardman, Oregon, and the Oregon State Fair in Salem, OR., for her cakes, pies, cookies, jellies and jams, as well as her sewing and handicraft work. While in Walla Walla she spent her time as a Volunteer at the VA Hospital where she received several awards for her many hours of services. After moving to Richland, she and her husband were active in serving their Lord at the Sunset View Baptist Church, Richland Heights Baptist Church, and Richland Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was an active member of the VFW in the Tri-Cities, and held all positions.
After Mr. Gaines retired from Handord, they traveled extensively throughout the United States, by car, train and airplane, visiting friends and relatives as well as enjoying unique and different kinds of restaurants along the way.
Mrs. Gaines is survived by five children: James L. Guerin, Eugene, OR: Catherine DeKett and Pat Allen, of Salem, OR: Jeanne Wiley, of Columbus, MS; and Nancy Shingledecker, of Richland, WA: stepdauthter, Shivonn Gaines-Allgritton, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchilden. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers, and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Cemetery, in Irrigon, Oregon, on Dec. 22, 2005, at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be at Einan's Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

John Bertram Green, 83, died last night at Kennewick General Hospital. He had been a resident of the Hawthorne House in Kennewick for five years and a resident of this area for the past 20 years.
He worked construction when the Hanford plant was being built and worked later for the Corps of Engineers.
He was born at Culber, Ind., and later lived at Gypsum, Colo., before coming to the Tri-Cities.
He is survived by a son, James W. (Bud) Green, of Richland. Funeral services will be announced by Klepper-Einan Mortuary.

Funeral services for John Bertram Green, 83, who died Tuesday evening at Kennewick General Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Gypsum, Colo. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum.
Mr. Green had been a resident of this area for 20 years, having worked on construction at the Hanford Plant. He had been a resident of the Hawthorne House in Kennewick for the past five years.
He is survived by a son, James W. (Bud) Green, Richland. The body is being shipped today to the Miller Funeral Home in Eagle, Colo. Local arrangements are in charge of the Klepper-Einan Mortuary.

Lillian Lavone Gillespie, 69, of 205 S Yelm St., Kennewick, died Tuesday in the Kennewick Life Care Center.
She was born in Mason City, Neb., and had lived in the Kennewick 32 years.
She and her husband A. A. Gillespie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July.
Survivors include husband A.A. Gillespie; daughter Gayle Culvert, Yakima; son Lynn Gillespie, Kennewick; sisters Irma Bodner, West Richland, Winifred Savaria, Richland, Agnes Welter, Everett, Theresa Miller, Soap Lake, and four grandchildren.

Albert Gillespie, 75, Kennewick, died Monday in Kennewick General Hospital.
He was born in Brewster and lived in Kennewick since 1950.
He was an electrician at Hanford and on the Grand Coulee Dam, and was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 112 of Kennewick. He coached the first Little League baseball team in Kennewick and the first Kennewick Legion team in 1955, which went on to state.
Survivors include son Lynn Gillespie, Kennewick; daughter Gayle Culvert, Yakima; sister Edna MaGee, Hay; and four grandchildren. His wife Lillian died in 1983.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview Heights Cemetery.

Anthony ‘Tony’ Joseph Giordano, 48, of Pasco, died Monday, December 13, 2004, at his home. He was born December 29, 1955, in Los Angeles, CA to Kenneth Neil and Carol Jane (Burk) Giordano. Tony moved to Portland, OR in 1963 where he graduated from Franklin High School in 1974. Following graduation, he served in the US Marie Corps for two years. In 1986, Tony became a Christian, and on September 20, 1986, he married Mary Lynn Scherpf in Portland. While living there, Tony managed the Flower Drum Restaurant and later was the Assistant Banquet Manager of the Hilton. In 1993, he transferred to the Tri-Cities where he worked at the Red Lion and most recently Fred Meyers, a job he enjoyed very much. Tony adored his wife and was a great dad. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pasco. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Lynne Giordano, daughter, Samantha, and son, Zachary, all of Pasco; brothers, Kenneth and Rosalyn Giordano, and Steven and Linda Giordano, and sister, Lenora and Gene Buford, all of Portland, OR, and sisters, Annette and Robert Bennefield and Ruth and Ronald Hartford, all of Vancouver, WA, father- and mother-in-law Marvin and Pam Scherpf, of Pasco; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Carol Giordano, and sister, Carrie Jalbert. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 16, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church on 16th and Marie in Pasco.

Rodney Eugene Givens, 22, of Tacoma for 1 year and formerly of the TriCities died Monday, Aug 27th, 1990, on Hwy 18, West of North Bend in an auto accident.
Rodney attended schools in Kennewick and graduated from Clarkfork High School in Clarkfork, Idaho. He attended Columbia Basin College in Pasco.
Rodney was a Private First Class in the 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry—US Army at Ft Lewis, WA.
He was active in sports, an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping. Rodney was married August 25, 1990, to Lorraine Marie Howell who died in the auto accident also on August 27, 1990.
He is survived by parents Edna and Gary Givens of Kennewick, WA; grandmother, Bernita Givens of Milton Freewater, OR, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept 1, 1990, at 10 am at the Mueller’s TriCities Funeral Home, 1401 S Unions, Kennewick. Burial will be in the Desert Lawn Memorial with Military Honors provided by the 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry—US Army at Fort Lewis, WA.

Lorraine Marie (Howell) Givens, age 21, died Monday, August 27, 1990, in an auto accident on Hwy 18, West of North Bend.
Lorraine was born May 22, 1969, in Hollywood, CA.
Formerly of California, Lorraine moved to Tacoma in 1976. She married Rodney Eugene Givens on August 25, 1990, in Richland, WA. Rodney died in the auto accident with Lorraine.
She is survived by her parents, Peggy and Robert Howell of Tacoma; sisters Anne Case and Mary Katherine Howell of Tacoma; brother Timothy Howell of Chehalis, WA, uncles Tim and Stan Hall of Colorado and Dr Richard L Rising of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
