Hakan married 4 Nov 1878 in Stockholm, Sweden, Louisa Leontine Johansdatter LOF, who was born 26 Sep 1858 in Frälsegåden, Östergötland, Lonsäs, Sweden and died 3 Feb 1936 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. Both are buried in the Abbey at Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham, Whatcom, WA.

  1. Hugo Hakan Helgo HOVANDER was born 11 Jul 1880 in Stockholm, Sweden. He died 3 May 1943 in Seattle, King, WA. Hugo married 20 Aug 1914 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA, Wylia Alta SHEPARD who was born 29 May 1888 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN to George Henry and Ella May (Harmon) SHEPARD. Wylia died 15 Oct 1941 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA.  Both are buried in the Abbey at Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham, Whatcom, WA.

  2. Elsa Minerva HOVANDER was born 10 Jul 1882 in Stockholm, Sweden and died 10 Nov 1961 in Roseburg, Douglas, OR. Elsa married 13 Nov 1916 in San Diego, San Diego, CA, Karl Otto STROMME who was born 27 Oct 1876 in Highwood, Cook, IL to Gustaf and Matilda Amelia STROMME. Karl died 30 Nov 1946 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA.

  3. Otis Ossian HOVANDER was born 21 Jul 1884 in Stockholm, Sweden and died 17 Oct 1979 in Lynden, Whatcom, WA. He is buried in Greenacres Cemetery, Ferndale, Whatcom, WA.

  4. Angelo Karl Gustaf HOVANDER was born 21 Aug 1889 in Stockholm, Sweden and died 9 Nov 1944 in Ferndale, Whatcom, WA. He is buried in Enterprise Cemetery, Ferndale, Whatcom, WA. Angelo married 31 Dec 1918 Stephina FINNNSON.

  5. Charles Carl Wilhelm Gillis HOVANDER was born 23 May 1893 in Malmo, Sweden and died 5 Nov 1954 in Ferndale, Whatcom, WA. He is buried in Greenacres Cemetery, Ferndale, Whatcom, WA.  Charles married 18 Mar 1926 Amanda OLSON.

  6. Ada Rosa Leonora HOVANDER was born 19 Sep 1895 in Malmo, Sweden and died 16 May 1968 in Ferndale, Whatcom, WA.  She is buried in Greenacres Cemetery, Ferndale, Whatcom, WA.  Ada married 5 Nov 1920 Noel Melvin JUVET who was born 20 Feb 1895 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN to Edmund and Regina (Hagen) JUVET and died in September, 1968.

  7. Vera Viola HOVANDER was born 22 Jul 1899 on the Hovander homestead in Whatcom County, WA and is buried in the Abbey at Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham, Whatcom, WA.  Vera married in 1925 Ramsey RALSTON.
