Hiram Elliott – Superintendent 1909–1919
Hiram Elliott, Kitsap County School Superintendent, 1909-1919. He is my great uncle. Some information about the time period, if you didn't know this already: If Mr. Elliot served Charleston from 1909 to 1919, he saw the school district go from one school to five: CENTRAL, NAVY YARD CITY, NAVAL AVENUE, PHINNEY BAY, and HILLCREST. Washington Junior High was added in the early 20s, but no others until WWII. Information submitted by: RUSS WARREN.
