NOOKSACK HIGH SCHOOL
Commencement Exercises

The class of 1913 graduated from N. H. S., Thursday evening, May 29, before a large audience of friends and relatives gathered in the spacious auditorium to hear their thesis and witness their "begining". The program was fittingly started by a few words of welcome from Mr. DAVENPORT, followed by invocation by Rev. SIMONDS. "A Mellow Horn" followed by "Bacteria" by Amanda GUNDERSON, the quartette then sang "Over the Dark Blue Sea" after which Fay SPENCER gave an interesting discourse on "Salmon Fishing on the Coast." Mary GINGER and Ella KALLANDER then sang "Bobolink Tell Me True", which was very well received by the audience. The last of the graduates to speak was Alta SPEDDING who had for her subject "Civic Beauty", which contained many practical suggestions for beautifying home and city. This was followed by another selection by the quartette "I Know a Bank", and the program closed after a short speach from Mr. DAVENPORT and the presentation of the diplomas. While the crowds were congratulating the Seniors, the undergraduates gathered and sang "Good-bye Seniors" and gave one of those roof-raising yells "Seniors". The auditorium was beautifully decorated in brown and blue, the Senior colors and there was a great profusion of ferns, flowers and evergreens.

This is the fifth class to graduate from N. H. S. and we think Nooksack is justly proud of her school. It may be of interest to our readers to know what thes old school friends are doing now.
