Maxmillian Robert Gustave WEIHE was born 5 Apr 1867 in
Crone, Prussia (now Koronowo, Poland) and was christened there 15 Apr 1867
in the Evangelical Lutheran Church. His parents were (Maximillian) August
and Anna (PANSEGRAU) WEIHE. He emigrated from there in 1882. He boarded the
German ship Lessing at Hamburg and arrived in New York City on May 18, 1882.
After an extended sojourn with family members in Sioux City, Iowa, he migrated
to the West Coast and finally settled in Whatcom County, Washington, where
he went into the baking business. He owned and operated the Royal Bakery
on Elk Street. Robert married married 24 Jul 1892 Martha Marie BORMANN
at a local German Lutheran Church. She was born in 1860 to Karl
BORMANN and Wilhelmina PETRAF in Germany and immigrated to the United States
in 1890. The marriage was performed by G. WOESTENBERG; witnesses were Charles
and Augusta (BORMANN) NEF. Robert died 6 Jun 1928 in Bellingham, Whatcom,
WA and Martha died 17 Jan 1937 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. Both are buried
in Bayview Cemetery.
