Joseph P. Trecker Family

Joseph Peter TREKKER was born in Cologne, Germany 12 May
1864/6, son of Ferdinand and Elizabeth (SMITH) TRECKER, and died 9 Sep 1944.
Joseph and six brothers left Germany to avoid service in the German army.
He settled in Dakota Territory where he discovered he did not like farming.
He went to California where his sister, Kate, was living. He then worked
as a gambler on the ships that went up and down the coast and did very well.
He met Irene EHLE in Whatcom County, Washington and lived in Goshen and operated
a small store and train stop. He bought property that others were losing
and resold it. Irene EHLE was born 1 Apr 1884 in Kearney,
Buffalo, NE and died 5 Dec 1960 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. She was the daughter
of Franz and Anna (BRUCKER) EHLE. Joseph and Irene are buried in Greenacres
Cemetery.

Ann TRECKER was born 10 May 1902 and died in February 1982 in
Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. She is buried in Greenacres Cemetery. She
married Charles W. LUTZ who was born 1 May 1913 and died 28 Dec 1999.

Francis J. "Bud" TRECKER was born 11 Sep 1903 and died 13 Apr 1994
in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. He married Winifred P ___, who was born 18 Oct
1903 and died in January 1993 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA.

Irene TRECKER married Homer PRIDE who was born 9 Nov 1905 and died
in October 1984 in Toppinish, Yakima, WA.

Carl F. TRECKER was born 4 Mar 1910 and died in August 2001 in
Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. He married (1) about 1930 Frances Maude
MARK, who was born 4 Nov 1911 to Matthew and Maude (ADAMS) MARK, and
died 11 Apr 2004. He married (2) Cecillia VAN HORN.

John TRECKER was born 12 Feb 1921 and died in March 1986. He married
Carol PRIDE who was born 10 Dec 1914 in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA and died
9 Dec 1976 and is buried in Greenacres Cemetery. Jack worked at the
Washington Mill Co-op as a foreman until it was moved out to Everson.
