Kristen Levorson TOLLUM was born 3 Mar 1843 in Rollag,
Buskerud, Norway to Levor CHRISTENSEN and his wife, Anne Halvorsdatr, and
died 1 Jul 1928 in Lawrence, Whatcom, WA. He married Helga Nilsdatr
LEE 17 May 1873 in Zumbrota, Goodhue, MN, daughter of Nils LEE
and Ambjor WAMREEIET. She was born 18 Apr 1855 in Rollag, Numedal, Norway,
and died 4 Jun 1938 in Lawrence, Whatcom,
WA. They are buried in the Immanuel
Lutheran Cemetery at Lawrence, Whatcom, WA. Helga came with her parents to
America in 1866. They lived in Iowa County, WI for the first one and a half
years and in the fall of 1868 the family moved to Goodhue County, MN. Kristen
Tollum had been a carpenter in Norway and at age twenty-five came to
America changing his name from Kristen to Christian. They lived in Goodhue
County for several years building houses and barns. In 1879 they removed
to the Red River Valley, to Kindred, North Dakota where they lived for nine
years. In 1888, after seeing the crops flattened by a hail storm, they sold
out and moved to the Washington Territory, settling in Whatcom County. They
came by train to Seattle and then by boat to Sehome. As Christian was a carpenter
he helped build the Lutheran Church at Lawrence and the pews which are still
in use in the choir loft of the new church.

died 18 Mar 1967. Emma married 6 Jun 1895 at Lawrence, Whatcom, WA Gustave
Christopher HOFF who was born 6 Jun 1874 in Koshkonong, Jefferson, WI to
Hans Christian and Caroline (LUNDE) HOFF and died 1 Dec 1951. Emma and Gustave
HOFF are buried in the Ephrata Cemetery in Ephrata, Grant, WA.

Anton Nikelie TOLLUM was born 9 Sep 1878 in Zumbrota, Goodhue, MN
and died 8 Sep 1934 at Lawrence, Whatcom, WA. He is buried in Immanuel Lutheran

Whatcom, WA Leanna Emily RYASON who was born 21 Sep 1895 in Hart, Oceana,
MI, daughter of Ira and Kate Bell (ROBINSON) RYASON. Leanna died 30 Apr 1965
in Bellingham, Whatcom, WA. They are buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery
at Lawrence, Whatcom, WA.

Annie TOLLUM was born 31 Jan 1889 in Lawrence, Whatcom, WA and died
7 May 1975. She married 23 Oct. 1922 Bert Galveston HAMILTON who was born
11 May 1886 in Little Rock, Pulaski, AR and died 16 Nov 1969 in Bellingham,
Whatcom, WA. Both are buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Lawrence, Whatcom,
WA. Bert was a logger, worked as a bucker for the HOFF and PINKEY Logging
Camp at Kulshan. Annie worked as a "flunkie" in the cookhouse; she met Bert
there. They bought 10 acres from the HOFF farm at Lawrence, and bought 10
acres from her parents place which was across the road. Later Annie received
another 12 acres from her parents' place. They built a house and barn, while
living in a shack on her parent's land. They farmed for 20 years finally
selling out in September, 1945. They lived in a shack again on Marie's land
for awhile and then they moved to Puget Street in Bellingham.

Marie Janette TOLLUM was born 15 Jan 1891 in Lawrence, Whatcom, WA
and died 10 Dec 1983. Marie was the first baby baptised in the Immanuel Lutheran
Church at Lawrence, WA. Later Marie was the sunday school teacher,
superintendent, and organist for more than 25 years. She is buried in Immanuel
Lutheran Cemetery at Lawrence, Whatcom, WA.
