Wahkiakum Eagle-November 1985 WRIGHT, Arthur Benjamin Age 72, a Cathlamet businessman, died at a Longview hospital. He was born at St. John's, Ore. He opened Wright's Furniture and Hardware in Cathlamet in 1933, the year he moved to the Wahkiakum County town. He was a member of the Cathlamet Commercial Club, and for 48 years was a volunteer fireman. He was president of the Washington State Fireman's Association in 1947. He is survived by his wife, Effie, at home; his sons and daughters- in-law, Robert and Jerrilyn Wright of Olympia and Walter and Linda Wright of Cathlamet; his sister, Edna Snyder of Cathlamet; his brothers, Otis E. Wright and Leland C. Wright, both of Cathlamet; and five grandchildren. Memorial services were held November 16 at the Julius A. Wendt Elementary School. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
