Published in The Daily News on 4/26/2007. Wienecke, Elizabeth A. Elizabeth A. Wienecke Worthington, 87, of Cathlamet died April 23, 2007. She was born Feb. 17, 1920, in Hay Creek Ranch, Ore., to Nelson and Tonnie (Parsley) Marks. Mrs. Worthington lived in Hillsboro, Ore., from 1965 to 1994, when she moved to Cathlamet. She married Wilson Wienecke on Oct. 6, 1940. They owned and operated a grocery store in Hillsboro. Mr. Wienecke preceded her in death in 1989. In 1994, she married Jack Worthington. He preceded her in death in August 2004. Survivors include three sons, Robert Wienecke, Patrick Wienecke and Richard Wienecke; a daughter, Susan Goetchious; a stepdaughter, Zola Collins; 11 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and 18 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fir Lawn Mortuary in Hillsboro. A reception will follow from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Hillsboro Senior Center. The viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Fir Lawn Memorial Park.
