Wahkiakum County Eagle-June 9, 1977-Page 6 LLOYD R. WORREL Lloyd Worrel of Portland passed away Tuesday evening in Good Samaritan Hospital, Portland, after an illness of several weeks. He is survived by his wife Martha and nieces and nephews. Services are pending. Wahkiakum Eagle-June 16, 1977 WORREL, Lloyd Roy Born in Astoria, died in a Portland hospital after a serious illness of two weeks. He lived in Grays River where he was a dairy farmer until 1951, after which he moved to Vancouver for five years. Later he moved to Portland where he was employed in the lumber industry. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran church in Portland. Last October Mr. and Mrs. Worrel celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife, Martha, a nephew Shane Cornell, and two great nephews in Oklahoma. Other relatives are in the Grays River area and Ohio. A host of friends also survive. Services were held June 13 at the Naselle Lutheran church. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach, was in charge.
