The Daily News-March 1970 WITHAM, George Albert Age 77, of Cathlamet, died in a Cathlamet nursing home. He was born in Pulham, St. Mary, England, and came to Cathlamet from Rainier, Ore., in 1914. Before early retirement in 1948 he was employed by Crown Zellerbach as a train engineer and later owned and operated a restaurant in Cathlamet. Survivors include the widow, Mary of Cathlamet; one daughter, Mildred Althauser of Cathlamet; three brothers, Walter, Bert and Fred, all of Cathlamet; six sisters, Beatrice Collis of Portland, Marie Frick of Mt. Vernon, Doris Engelbretson of Vancouver, Lily Troxel of Eugene, Ore., and Ann Wend and Gertrude Swan, both of Cathlamet. Services were held Tuesday at the Congregational Church with Rev.
