Wahkiakum County Eagle-December 13, 1973-Page 3 J. IVAN WILSON J. Ivan Wilson, retired from U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, passed away in Phoenix, Ariz., December 1. Wilson was born in Sidney, Neb., June 20, 1890. He attended grade and high school and took higher accounting at St. Thomas Military Academy, St. Paul, Minn. He was employed as assistant cashier at Dewey County Bank, Isabel, S. D., and operated his own bank in Skamokawa from 1922 to 1934. He spent 25 years with the Army Corp of Engineers before retiring. Surviving is his wife, Maude in Phoenix; two daughters, Ruth W. McGill, Seattle; Gratia Martin, Manitou Springs, Colo; also a brother, Del Sexton, Los Angeles. Wilson was a member of Shrine “Al Kadar” Temple No. 12566, Portland; Scottish Rite, Phoenix; and Kelso Lodge No. 94, F & AM, Kelso.
