The Eagle- Cathlamet, Wahkiakum, WA-October 11, 1945, page 6 Wilme, Henry Deep River Logger Killed. Deep River, Oct. 10.---Henry Wilme, 55, of Deep River, a logger employed by the Wirkkala Logging company at Grays River, was fatally injured Friday when struck by a sapling while working in the logging operations. Wilme was a life long resident of the Deep River community. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Clyde of South Bend and Mrs. Minnie Jacobson of Centerville, Wash., and Charles Wilme of South Bend. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church at Naselle Monday with Rev. J. R. Kovan officiating. Interment was made in the Salmon Creek cemetery. Hatton’s Funeral Home of Cathlamet was in charge.
