Unknown Newspaper-August 1964 WIITALA, John Severi Age 78, died at his farm in Naselle. He was born in Kaustinen, Finland, and came to this country, to the State of Washington in 1904. He married Anna Oman in 1909, and they established their permanent home in Naselle in 1914, residing there since. He was a long-time member of the Naselle Lutheran church. Survivors include his widow, Anna, Naselle; three sons, Fredrick of Parkland, Wash.; Albert of Tillamook, Ore.; and Donald of Naselle; three daughters, Helen Peeples and Irene Blake of Raymond; and Alice Laney of Naselle. One sister, Adeline Wiitala in Finland and fifteen grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Naselle Lutheran church, with Rev. F. W. Kaskinen officiating. Pall bearers were Roy Oman, Ollie Oman, Oscar Eager, Russell Eager, Delbert Anderson and Curtis Anderson. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea was in charge.
