The Eagle-June 1, 1951 Services Held For A. Wiitala By Gloria Torppa Naselle-Funeral services were held for Alton Wiitala in Naselle Congregational church Friday. The Rev. Ellis Koven read the service in Finnish and Rev. Edwin Wirkkala gave the message in English. Erwin Anderson sang two numbers and Amy Wirkkala played the pipe organ. The deceased was born in Naselle, September 1, 1921. He graduated from the local high school in 1940 and enlisted in the navy of the second World War in 1942, where he served in the Pacific theatre of operations. Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two children, his father, Einar Wiitala; a brother, Russel, and a sister, Mary Elaine Senter; three uncles, Urho Wiitala, Klamath Falls, Ore.; Fred and Charles Silvola, Naselle; and four aunts, Mrs. Hilda Dall, Naselle, Mrs. Ted Wilson, South Bend, and Olga Silvola and Mrs. Otto Keiski, Portland. The deceased came to his death on a flooded highway near North Bonneville, Wash. Wiitala, Alton J.
