Yakima Herald Republic-Yakima, Washington, August 11, 1987 Obituary Floyd E. Wickersham, 75, of 580 Willowlawn, Yakima, died Sunday morning at home. Mr. Wickersham was born July 21, 1912 in Bottineau, North Dakota to Roy and Gertrude Wickersham. He was raised and educated in North Dakota. He moved with his family to California, where he worked in heavy construction. He married Marjorie Wallace in California and they moved to Battle Ground, Washington, in 1944, where they owned and operated Wickersham Well Drilling Co. After his retirement in 1978, they moved to Yakima. Mr. Wickersham enjoyed his family, gardening and playing cribbage. Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Conrad of Yakima, with whom he made his home, and Karolle Dean of Alameda, California; two sons, Edward Wickersham of Ridgefield and Allen Wickersham of Vancouver; two brothers, Ivan Wickersham of McMinnville, Oregon, and Roy Wickersham of Jefferson, Oregon; one sister, Eileen Hampton of Jefferson, Oregon; six granddaughters; three grandsons and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Wickersham, on February 26, 1979 and by his parents. At his request, no funeral services will be held. Burial will be in West Hills Memorial Park.
