Wahkiakum Eagle-December 2000 WELLENBROCK, David 'Hawk' Age 46, of Longview, died at the Hospice Care Center. He was born at White Salmon, the son of Chester and Florence Ward Wellenbrock. His death was caused by brain stem cancer. He moved to Cathlamet from Glenwood at the age of nine and graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1973 and had lived in Longview for the last 25 years. He was married to Vicki Deranleau in 1985. He worked for Bruscos since an early age and most recently as a crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, his pets, work and spending time with his family. He was active in softball and bowling leagues. Survivors include his wife at home; two sons, Dan Deranleau of Hillsboro, Ore., Adam Wellenbrock of Longview; one sister, Terri Brusco of Longview; his parents, L. D. and Billie Mahoney of Cathlamet; two grandchildren and two nieces and a nephew. Services were Wednesday at Robert Gray Baptist church in Longview with Rev. Ken Bjorge officiating.
