The Daily News, Longview, WA-February 10, 1964 Page 15 WALLACE – Joseph A., 69, of Skamokawa, died Feb. 8 at home. He was born April 8, 1894 in South Harbor, Mich., and lived in Skamokawa 34 years where he was a commercial fisherman. He was a member of the Skamokawa Methodist Church and was past commander of Wahkiakum County VFW Barracks 2791. He was a veteran of World War 1 having served with the U.S. Army in France for more than a year. He is survived by his widow, Genevieve M., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Irman J. Giddeon of Portland; two step-sons, Vernon Andrews of Portland; Albert Andrew of Vancouver; his mother, Mrs. Mary A. Wallace of San Jose, Calif,; a grandson, Terry Giddeon, USN; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Munson of California; Mrs. Marjorie Wickersham of Battle Ground; Mrs. Verna Downing of Saratoga, Calif.; two brothers, Oren Wallace of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert Wallace of California. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Skamokawa Methodist Church with the Rev. John Freeman officiating. Internment will be at Fern Hill Cemetery, Skamokawa.
