Wahkiakum Eagle-Jan. 1977 WALLACE, Jesse W. Age 85, of Grays River, died in a Cathlamet nursing home. She was born in Davenport, N. D. and moved to Grays River from Sonora, Calif. ten years ago. She was a member of the Grays River Grange, the order of Eastern Star at Sonora. She had been a practical nurse in Myrtle Point and Coquille, Oregon, and also had nursed in Portland. She headed the central committee for the Republican Party in Sonora and received a commendation for her active role. She was very considerate of older people and took care of both her mother and father prior to their deaths. Survivors include; one daughter, Barbara Chamberlain of Grays River; three sisters, Priscilla Raymond, Marjorie Biord, Flora Tanner, all of Lebanon, Ore., and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held January 6 at Dowling Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harry R. Olsen officiating. Jesse W.
