The Daily News-14 May 2005 ULLAKKO, Viola I. (Saime) Age 91, of Naselle. She was born in Astoria to George and Aina (Ketola) Saime and attended schools in Deep River. She was a housekeeper and cook in Astoria. She cooked for a log camp in North River, in Cathlamet, for the Grand Coulee Dam construction crew and at Naselle High School. She operated Viola's Café from 1962 to 1968 and retired after a year cooking for the Naselle Youth Camp. She married Fred Ullakko on April 10, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by a son, Steve Ullakko; a sister, Norma Monohon; two grandchildren, Garth Ullakko and Jennifer Boggs; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Monday at the United Church of Christ in Naselle. Penttila's Funeral Home, Long Beach, was in charge.
