The Wahkiakum County Eagle-Thursday, 31, 2009 Derrill Lee Trimble Derrill Lee Trimble, 74, of Tacoma died December 23, 2009 at St John Medical Center, in Longview. He was born in Cathlamet to Robert Lee and Frances (Wood) Trimble on November 24, 1935. He graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1954 and later, graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s Degree. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea, during the Korean War before working as an accountant; residing in Tacoma for over 30 years. He was an accomplished pianist, enjoying the symphony, and an avid reader. In retirement, he also enjoyed walking and travelling. He is survived by a brother, Robert L Trimble of Olympia; sister, Karen M. Brown of Canby, Ore.; seven nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Lance Trimble. A funeral service was held December 29, 2009 at United Church of Christ (Congregational), in Cathlamet. He was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet.
