Wahkiakum Co. Eagle-November 1951 SWORKMO, Odine Christopher Odine Sworkmo was found dead in his bed Tuesday morning by a neighbor. He had evidently passed away during the night as he had been talking to Arvid Anderson about 8 o'clock the previous evening and was apparently in good health and spirits although he had consulted a physician that day. He had evidently lain down on the bed after talking with his neighbor and passed away from natural causes as he was fully dressed. He was a native of this country, having been born in Skamokawa and had lived all his life in the upper East valley. He is survived by two sisters, Bertha Zerg of Hollywood and Ida Ashton of Seaside, Ore.; one niece, Ida Mae Anderson of Seaside, and one grand-niece, Adrane-Joine Androff. He was a member of Longview lodge of Eagles and the IWA. Funeral services under the direction of Hatton's Funeral Home will be held at Skamokawa Methodist church with Rev. K. G. Cooper officiating. Wahkiakum Eagle-November 1951 SWORKMO-Odine Christopher, 59, of Skamokawa, died Nov. 19 in Skamokawa. Born in Skamokawa Feb. 24, 1892. A member of the Longview FOE and the IWA. He was a logger. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bertha Zerg of Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Ida A. Ashton of Seaside; one niece, Mrs. Ida Mae Androff of Seaside, Ore. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Skamokawa Saturday 11 a.m., with Rev. K. J. Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Fern Hill Cemetery. The Hatten Funeral Home is in charge.
