Published in The Daily News on 4/26/2007. Margaret Marie Sverdrup 1913 - 2007 Margaret Marie Sverdrup passed away April 23, 2007 at the age of 93 in Longview, WA. She was born in Portland, OR on December 26, 1913 to Jens and Marie (Theide) Therkildsen. She grew up in Skamokawa, WA and moved to Longview in 1937. She graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1931 and went to secretary school in Seattle, WA in 1932. On May 3, 1934 she married Lloyd Sverdrup in Seattle, WA. Margaret was a homemaker and a member of the Longview Camera Club. She enjoyed camping with friends and family, travel, family get-togethers, gardening and crocheting. Everyone loved Margaret! She was very outgoing and friendly. When she made friends, they were lifelong friends. She loved animals, especially frogs. Margaret is survived by a brother, Bill Therkildsen of Greenbank, WA; a sister, Roberta Hartshorn of Kirkland, WA; a daughter, Georgia Marthaller of Kelso, WA; a grandson, Jeff Marthaller of Longview, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; loving husband, Lloyd; and sisters, Anna and "Pete". In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O.
