Wahkiakum County Eagle-May 1996 Ada Silverman Former Skamokawa resident, age 92, died in Gig Harbor. She was born in Okanogan, and lived, worked and raised her children in this area for many years. She married Lester Silverman, and they moved to Skamokawa, where they built and worked at the Les Duck Inn Restaurant until 1965, at which time they moved to Santa Maria, Calif., and became managers of the Park Avenue Arms apartments. After her husband's death in 1978, she continued to manage the apartments until 1993, when she retired and moved to Gig Harbor to be near a daughter. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Smith of Santa Maria, Calif., and Katherine Feeder of Gig Harbor; a son, Al Bell of Kingsville, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
