Wahkiakum County Eagle-November 1995 SILLS, Eva Frances Age 86, of Rosburg, died in a Cathlamet care center. She was born in Weiser, Ida., to Eugene and Minnie (Green) Hermelin. At an early age the family moved to Bend, Ore. and later to Beaverton, Ore., where she received her schooling. She moved to Pillar Rock in the early 1930's and lived there for 20 years. She later moved to Beaverton and then to Yachats, Ore. in 1960 before returning to the Eden Valley-Rosburg area in 1969 where she has resided since. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene in Beaverton and attended Naselle Lutheran Church. During her years in Yachats she was a member of the Women of the Moose in Florence, Ore. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling and spending time with her family and attending the Rosburg Senior activities. Eva married Guy Sills in 1952 and they were married until his death in 1968. She is survived by daughters, Alice F. Hayman of Florence, Pyllis Sotka of Rosburg and Minnie Preston of Sutherlin, Ore.; brother, Eugene Hermelin of Forest Grove, Ore.; six grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Funeral service was Friday at the Naselle Lutheran Church with Pastor Tony Stoutenburg officiating. Arrangements by Penttila's Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach, Wa.
