Wahkiakum County Eagle-March 4, 1999 Eleanor Sibert Eleanor Marie Sibert, 70, died Sunday at a Longview hospital. She was born August 2, 1928, the daughter of Lou and Agnes Cooper at Arlee, Montana. Mrs. Sibert attended school in Montana. She lived at Calder, Ida., and married her husband Ed in Idaho. They later moved to Cathlamet where they lived for 28 years. The couple had been married 48 years at the time of his death in May 1966. She was a member of the Elochoman Grange and the Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons Eddie of Colorado and Robbie of St. Maries, Ida.; two daughters Judy Byrum and Mary Heagy, both of Cathlamet; and two great-grandchildren. A son Larry preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Thursday (today) at 11 a.m. at Dowling Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. The Rev. Irene Martin will officiate. Inurement will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials to the Cathlamet First Aid Division are suggested.
